*Naruto woke up by a knock at his door. He got up and looked out the window. This was normally the time, he goes for his morning exercise*

Naruto: who could be up, at this hour?

*Naruto muttered to himself, as he heard the door being knocked again. He yawned and stretched for a second, until he heard his joints pop. And got up to open the door, he saw Sakura there, with ointment and bandages*

Naruto: Sakura my dear. Hello. It's surprising seeing you up, at this time of the morning

Sakura: I just wanted to make sure you were ok. How are the bandages? Last thing we would want. Is you getting a fever from a infection

*Sakura said, the concern was clear in her tone. The events of last night, still clear in her mind. It was just a few hours ago, so you can't really blame her, for still being traumatized. And Naruto didn't. So he just smiled softly*

Naruto: I appreciate the concern. But I'm fine for the moment. Honestly, you woke up too early, I won't have to change my bandages till after my morning workout

Sakura: workout? Naruto, you are in no condition to be working out

*Sakura said in a worried tone, as she placed her hand on his chest, and firmly pushed him backwards, Naruto let it happen, his calming smile never leaving his face, as he tried to slowly calm Sakura down, as she sat him back down to his bed*

Naruto: I'm fine. I assure you. Just because my back is a little scratched, it doesn't mean that I can suddenly slack off on my training

Sakura:.... Did you just say, that your whipping injuries, were scratches?

*Sakura asked, as she went from concern to annoyed. Naruto grinned a little seeing her cross her arms. He might've fucked up a little saying that*

Naruto: indeed I did. Since I've been through worse. And don't forget that my fight against the hyuga, is only a few days away. I must be in tip top shape, for that day

Sakura: Naruto. You won't be able to help anybody, if you kill yourself training

*Sakura said with a sigh. But Naruto didn't see it that way, he shook his head and stood up, once he was up, he placed his hand on her head. Petting it, Sakura blushed. But it was an annoyed blush, since she felt as if Naruto was treating her like a little kid*

Naruto: your concern is appreciated, but I won't die. Look let's compromise. I'll just do a light training today. Will that make you feel better?

Sakura:..... A little.

*Sakura relented with a sigh, she softly slapped Naruto's hand away. Naruto smoked and nodded in agreement, as they both walked out of his room. They were heading to the kitchen, Naruto was gonna make himself a quick healthy milk shake like he always does*

Naruto: fantastic. Though I must ask. Why are you so concerned over me?

Sakura: it's... Not you persay. It's more that I was taken by surprise.

*Sakura said with her lips pursed a little with concern. She saw Naruto take out some fruits and vegetables, and she helped him make them into mush, for the smoothie*

Sakura: I suppose you can say, I've been fortunate. That I haven't seen death yet as a Shinobi. Seeing you so injured, kinda freaked me out

Naruto: ah. I see. I suppose I can see how that could be quite traumatic for some people

*Naruto said absent-mindedly, seeing his body count is on the double digits, soon to be in the triple digits, he's seen the absolute worse in humanity, thanks to the civil war. But he didn't let that, stop him from loving mankind. Sakura for her part frowns deeply, thinking of a certain emo traitor, of the leaf*

Sakura: while others, find me weak for thinking like this

Naruto: then those people are missing a few braincells, since to be scared of death is natural. It's human

*Naruto said with a shake of his head, disappointed that people would judge someone, for being scared of something no one can ever escape from, death. Sakura thinking of death, made her hug herself for a second, as she grew a sad frown, even her tone became a little sad, over was gonna talk about*

Sakura: hm. I don't like to think of it, too often. But the only death, I've experienced. Would be my mother and father's death. And I can't even remember it, since it happened when I was born. Still left such a mark on me

Naruto: I know the feeling. My first death, left a permanent mark on me. The type of mark, that doesn't go away. The type that I refuse to let go

*Naruto said a little too dark for Sakura's comfort, she glanced at Naruto. But what truly scared her, it was how calm her looked as he spoke of this*

Sakura: your talking about emiko aren't you?

Naruto: I am. She was the first person I saw die. It's something I'll never forget

*Naruto said, as his tone changed to one, Sakura couldn't describe. There was so many emotions mixed up in there. She placed her hand softly on top of Naruto's forearm. Making him stop what he was doing for a second*

Sakura: her death really affected you huh?

Naruto: more than even I'll ever realize, since I wasn't as fortunate as you. I got to see it, I got to see the light, go out of her eyes.

*Naruto said in a soft tone, he shook his head a little and went back to work. Sakura was so concerned over Naruto that She couldn't even be surprised, when Naruto used a rare element jutsu to make ice, for the smoothie*

Naruto: That death changed me into the man you see today. A man who actively chooses a path that'll lead to his own destruction. And refuses to change course.

Sakura: I guess death really does change people. I can only imagine. How I would be if they were still around. I would like to think, I would be a better person than I am now

*Sakura said with a sigh. As she grabbed half a peach and ate it, I. Thought. She always wondered how her life would be different if her parents were alive. She will never know, that her parent's death is the real reason she's so much stronger today, than if they were alive. Aka canon Sakura. Naruto nodded along with her, as she grabbed his cup and took a large sip, with a satisfied 'ah' at the end,  before he spoke*

Naruto: I know I would be a much better person. But there's no point thinking on what if. It's best we concentrate on what is. Now if you'll excuse me my dear. I must head to training

Sakura: mind if I tag along? I...want to make sure you don't over do it

*Sakura said softly, going back to her original concern, his mutilated back. Naruto glanced at her with a raised eyebrow, and a very small smirk*

Naruto: I don't see the harm. But are you sure you can handle my routine? Even watered down. Is still quite intense

Sakura: heh. I'll have you know that I can handle anything you dish out on me. How do you call it? Oh right. I'll show you MY power of youth!

*Sakura said, with a big smirk at the boy's challenge. Not knowing the demon she realized. And no. I'm not talking about Naruto*

Meanwhile with the demon

Lee: wait a minute...I know these feeling.... It was Sakura. She spoke of the power of youth.... Which means my rival must be with her!!!

*Lee said standing out of bed, and running out of his apartment through the window breaking it. He ran as fast as he could, with determination behind every step, for his search, will finally be over soon*

Later

*We see Naruto walking back home after some "light" training. He was holding Sakura like a princess, since she couldn't feel her legs, after doing all that Naruto did. The man somehow managed to swim upstream, like a freaking salmon. Naruto looked at her with a small grin, while she looked up at him with a blushing glare*

Naruto: so....

Sakura: if you say one more word. You'll regret it

*Sakura grumbled, he whole body hurt to hell and back, by the end of the training she even needed his help, to put the new bandages on his own body.*

Naruto: you did alright for yourself. For your first time

Sakura: first time? I've trained before many many times.

*Sakura asked with a huff. Naruto just chuckled, and grew an aura of superiority. Since his iron country belief came out. More specifically his "We are better than Shinobi" belief*

Naruto: no. You trained before many times with a Shinobi exercise routine. A samurai routine like everything else we do, is better than you Shinobi. Hence why all of us are in such great shape

Sakura: does it hurt, bending yourself backwards, to kiss your own ass?

*Sakura asked with a roll of her eyes, and a small smirk. Naruto chuckled and gave a crooked grin to the pink hair girl*

Naruto: at first. But like anything, with practice it doesn't hurt anymore

Sakura: remind me again, why you didn't just migrate us, with your butterflies?

*Sakura asked, as she could hear the whispers, she could feel the stares of the civilians on her. If ino saw her in such a position, she will never be able to live it down. Naruto looked up at the morning sun, with a bright smile*

Naruto: on such a beautiful morning? It's a wonderful day for a walk.

Sakura: yeah but....

*Sakura said, but didn't finish as the blush was becoming bigger. Naruto heard a small giggle from a civilian, he turned his head and winked at her. Making her giggle become louder. He turned his attention back to the tired Shinobi, with a smug smirk*

Naruto: oh dear. Could you possibly be... embarrassed?

Sakura:.... I prefer the word bashful

*Sakura said softly, As she got comfortable. Naruto smirk turned into a more calm smile, as he could see their home at a short distance away*

Naruto: at least your honest about it. But if you really want to. I can teleport us right now

Sakura:.... Well it is a nice day I guess.

*Sakura said with a sigh, not seeing the point of it. When they were so close

Naruto: lovely. Oh my. It would appear that we have company, and at such an early hour? I didn't even have a chance to make breakfast, or any refreshments.

Sakura: yes. How tragic.

*Sakura said with a chuckle, seeing how actually concern Naruto look. Since for Naruto, that was just common courtesy. Taught to him by miss takeda herself. So Naruto held Sakura with one hand, and bite down on her free hand, right on his thumb. He threw the blood into the air*

Naruto: summoning jutsu!

Butterflies: we are here to serve number 5.

*Sakura heard the butterfly speak, but she couldn't understand it. Since it was speaking in a totally different language. She could understand what Naruto was saying*

Naruto: lovely. Cause this is a social emergency. I have guests like now. And have no refreshments to offer them. Go into our home, and make them, I'll stall them as long as I can.

Sakura: you're kidding?

*Sakura asked with a breathless chuckle. But she saw the kaleidoscope of butterflies, all swarm the home, through an opened window. Naruto just grinned, as he reached to there visitor*

Naruto: hello, my old friend. Do what do I owe the pleasure, of your visit? Are you finally gonna introduce me to your fiancee?

Itachi: no. Unfortunately this isn't a social call. But rest assure that will be happening soon. Izumi keeps bothering me about it.

*Itachi said with a ghost of a smile. Naruto nodded and looked behind him, with itachi there were the namikaze children, Tsunade of the senju clan, shizune, and finally his old war rival, now tea friend kakashi. Mito would be so jealous of Sakura right now, if it wasn't for the fact, that she was tired. She couldn't sleep with how worried, she was over her mother's well being*

Naruto: ah. Glad to hear it. So if this is not a social call. Why are you all here? I can take an educated guess. But we all know, what assumptions does

Itachi: hm. We came to talk about the proposal you made the uzumaki family, we wish to talk about orochimaru.

*Itachi said in a serious tone. A tone that was shared with everyone there. As everyone stopped smiling. Naruto with a soft frown on his face, nodded before he spoke*

Naruto: I see. While I have no problem speaking to you all about that. Does the drunk senju have to be here for this?

Tsunade: watch it you little shit. I'm already in a foul mood, because of this. Don't make it worse. Since you don't have your little friend to protect you

*Tsunade said with a low growl, her knuckles becoming white with how hard she was holding her fist, she can't believe she's asking for help, form this boy. As for Naruto, truthfully he didn't have beef with Tsunade anymore, he won the fight so he has no reason to continue the hatred. He's just doing this, to give the butterflies time to prepare refreshments*

Naruto: let me assure you, I do not need my friend to beat you anymore. I'm far stronger than you can possibly imagine.

Menma: ok, can't believe I have to be the voice of reason. But can we all just head inside? I would rather have my mother healed as fast as possible

*Menma said with a sigh, getting in front of Tsunade, before she does something stupid. Naruto nodded and then looked at the boy, who is his identical appearance. All for the exception of there hair, and the fact that Naruto didn't have the whiskers. And scowled at him*

Naruto: hm. Your mother is already healed, now it's all a matter of waking her up. Though I am disappointed in you.

Menma: me? Why is that? I don't recall us interacting at all, in the leaf, and our last interaction was nothing less than pleasant.

*Menma asked confused, trying to recall if he did something to offend this man, since he didn't want his only shot at saving his mother, to change his mind because of him. He became subconsciously relieved, when he saw the smirk*

Naruto: oh, not for that. Here you see your teammate and friend in my arms. And you don't tease about it? What kind of friend are you?

Menma:pfff

*Menma placed his hand over his mouth, as he tried to control his laughter. Sakura's face became completely red, as she found new strength/energy in herself, to hit Naruto on to of the head. Others like kakashi, Itachi and shizune also laughed softly at that*

Sakura: fuck you! If I wasn't so tired I would push myself off of you!!

Kakashi: if you want Sakura, I can give you a piggy back ride, till we make it to your couch

*Kakashi said with his one eye smile. Sakura huffed and nodded with gusto, as she felt her pride wounded. Naruto chuckled and handed Sakura to kakashi. Naruto took a breath when he saw a butterfly land on his shoulder, and smiled at his guests*

Naruto: well then. Shall we head inside? I believe I still have some snacks, and drinks I can offer you all, as refreshments

Sakura: pfff

*Sakura blew him a raspberry, as they all walked inside. They could all tell. That it was gonna be a long day*
