*Naruto closed a book and sighed, he raised a finger and let a butterfly, land on it. Naruto looked at the beautiful purple and black butterfly*

Naruto: I've finish for the day, bring the books back where they belong

Butterfly:yes, number 5

*Naruto got up and stretched while hundreds of butterflies grabbed the books and placed them in there place, Naruto yanwed, and took a deep breath, his breath got trapped on his throat, as he looked around*

Naruto:did I just smell a hint of...mint?

*Naruto mumbled softly, but then shook his head, he must be imagining things. With a shrug he walked out of the library and walked back to his apartment. It was a quiet walk, till someone ran up to him, Naruto turned his head, and smiled softly at Hinata*

Naruto:ah, Hinata how was your day?

Hinata:o..oh! If was fine, I doubt you want to hear it

*Naruto walked to her and petted her head, making Hinata feel all bubbly inside, that feeling doubled when Naruto smiled at her*

Naruto: nonsense, I wouldn't have asked, if I didn't want to know. Truly, tell me about your day

Hinata:w..well, if you really want to know, it started with Kiba complaining about you, and then....

*And so they continued to walk together, with Naruto smiling, and listening intently, Hinata for her part felt refreshed, and nervous, refreshed since it feels good, for someone to just listen to her, and nervous since someone WAS listening to her.*

Hinata:a..and now, I'll be going on a mission with my team, at the end of the month I'll be back in like 3 weeks, according to kurenai sensei

Naruto:ah, then I wish you luck, on your mission. Be sure to be careful now, you hear ?

*Naruto said with a smile only an older brother could give, petting Hinata's at the top of her head, Hinata blushed embarrassed, but loving every moment of it. Naruto stopped walking, when he got the scent of mint again, this time stronger*

Naruto:hm, apologies Hinata, but I just remembered that I forgot something I had to do today, I'll meet you back at the apartment, then you can tell me about what this mission or yours entail, I would just love to hear it

*Naruto said with a smile, walking away with a wave, Hinata waved back in goodbye and walked back to there apartment,..... For around 20 steps before curiosity got the better of her, and she just had to follow him*

With Naruto

*He made it to the woods and leaned against a tree, he closed his eyes and started whistling, he smiled when he got a someone else whisltling as a response, he whistled one more time back*

*and heard footsteps landing, he opened his eyes with a small smirk, as he crosses his arms, in front of him was the heart of the Mugen group, the kindest soul of his friends*

*Kenshin Himura. Kenshin smiled back at him and gave him a small wave, naruto raised a hand as a wave back*

Naruto:been a while Kenshin...... where's the 50 you owe me you cunt?

Kenshin:it's coming, it's coming. Man, I come all the way to this scum infested place,and all you can think about is money, you cheap ass?

*Kenshin said punching Naruto's shoulder playfully, Naruto huffed and started walking back to the village, with Kenshin next to him*

Naruto:i could think of something else, if it hasn't been a whole year already, your lucky I'm not charging you interest like Zheng shi does

Kenshin: why do you think I ask money from you, and not her?

*Kenshin said with a chuckle, Naruto huffed, pushing him playfully, everyone in there friend group, knew naruto was the money friend, thanks to the snake, being his sponser, whoever she or he is*

Naruto:so, how long you staying?

Kenshin:well, my master gave me 1 month vacation, on which I'm gonna be staying to help you, with your research

*Kenshin said with a smile, putting his arm on Naruto's shoulder, Naruto in appreciation*

Naruto:I appreciate it, really I do

*Kenshin said, knowing what Naruto was going to say already*

Naruto:you shouldn't, waste your vacation on helping me, on my fool's errand. Chances are I'll find nothing here, like all the other places, whatever happened to my clan is more then probably will just remain a mystery

Kenshin:probably, but your my friend, and I'm gonna help you, I'm not taking no for an answer, no matter how much of a stubborn ass you are

*Kenshin said with a small grin, Naruto rolled his eyes and stopped walking, Kenshin stopped too both looking at the bush, both could hear and smell the girl there, only advantage Naruto had, was he could see the ball of chakra that belong to his roommate*

Naruto:Hinata, this is my friend Kenshin, Kenshin the girl hiding on the bush is Hinata, we're gonna grab a bite to eat, do you want to join us?

Hinata:......yes, please.

*Hinata said walking out of the bushes, with a small blush rubbing her arm, and giving a shy laugh. Kenshin smiled, before Kenshin was about to speak, Naruto got into his ear to whisper something*

Naruto:remember she's my roommate, be nice, I have to live with her

Kenshin:I'm not Mugen or Jin, I can tolerate Shinobi scum, not as much as you. But still

*Kenshin whispered back, both of them thinking how.... anti shinobi those two are, to put it mildly. before smiling at Hinata, grabbing her hand and shaking it*

Kenshin:it's a pleasure, I'm sure someone as pretty as you would just love to hear embarrassing stories of N over here

Naruto:nice try you dick, she's not the one I'm interested in, romantically

*Naruto said dismissively, they started walking and Naruto looked at his snake skin Wallet, seeing as he knows he'll be paying for the 3 of them. He didn't noticed the surprised expression on Hinata's face*

Hinata:wait. N do you like someone in Konoha?

Naruto:....i did not think that through. And...you can say that, I suppose. I certainly think of her more then normal, she's also been popping up in my head when I've been doing meditation

*Naruto said with his hand on his chin, ignoring the stars in her eyes, coming from Hinata, she already had a good idea of who it was*

Hinata:oh, I'm sure you and ino would be a great match! Your both blonde just think of what your babies would look like

Naruto:huh? Ino? Oh God no, she fine for something casual, when we're both bored, but nothing more then that, I can't stand girls like her

*Naruto said with a frustrated sigh, there's a reason he suggested getting drunk, on that date, Hinata looked at him confused*

Naruto:Yamanaka, is one of those diet girls

Kenshin;oh, god one of those, I can't stand them

*Kenshin said with a small annoyed sigh, thankful that tomoe and kaoru aren't like that, Naruto scoffed annoyed*

Naruto:tell me about! We go out you can order whatever you want, the more the better, but don't order a freaking salad and then look at my fries expectantly, what do you expect to get out of that ? Am I supposed to be impressed, because your starving yourself?

Hinata:un, guys?

*Hinata asked, both looked, and understood that they were going off the topic, Naruto coughed and went back to the topic*

Naruto:oh right sorry, I don't like people who go on diets when there's no reason they need to be on one, ino is a beautiful woman of that there's no doubt, but whenever I asked if she wanted a bite or something, she said "no thanks I'm on a diet" and then she ate her salad, as if that was gonna fill her. I simply can't be with someone like that long term, I need someone who's not afraid to eat, since food is the universal love language. Heh remember when one of us would get sad?

Kenshin:yeah, miss Takeda would make her famous double chocolate fudge cake

*Both of them sighed at the memory, with there stomach rumbling at the same time for the delicious treat*

Hinata:so......who do you like?

Naruto:somebody

*Naruto said with a small grin, Naruto grabbed the shoulder of Kenshin, and Hinata, Hinata looked confused, and then panicked since they turned into a huge kaleidoscope of butterflies. What Hinata felt was unexplainable, she was all and yet nothing, she was part of the hive mind, but only for a moment, seconds later they turned back into human, in front of a restaurant, Naruto opened the door for them, Kenshin walked inside with a confused Hinata looking around*

Hinata:a...a warning would've been nice

Naruto:my apologies, I'll be sure to warn you next time, come, let's eat and discuss this. Oh I almost forgot

*Hinata was confused by the grin Naruto had, he pointed up, and saw a smaller kaleidoscope of butterflies, that turned into Sakura, looking around very confused*

Sakura:what the fuck?! N! Why in fuck, did you use your butterflies on me?! And what was that feeling

Naruto:I told you, I would be making dinner, but plans changed and I decided to eat out with you both, and a friend that came for a visit from iron country, since it was last minute, I decided to just ask the butterflies to bring you here. As for the feeling? What you felt, is being part of the collective, the hive mind of the butterflies, of the goddess Psyche

*Naruto said calmly, Sakura looked at him annoyed, and walked up to him putting her finger on his chest*

Sakura:you are buying me dinner for that little stunt

Naruto:already planned on doing that, but fine, if that be my punishment, then so be it

*Naruto said calmly, Sakura huffed and walked inside, Hinata looked at the two with only one conclusion coming to mind*

Hinata"it's Definitely not Sakura"

Naruto:are you coming Hinata?

Hinata: huh? O..oh yes! Yes! Of course

*Hinata said shyly walking inside, with Naruto walking inside last, he glanced at Kenshin, talking to Sakura, and he glanced back at him, both had the same glint in there eyes, wanting the same thing*

Naruto and Kenshin"it's time for a rematch"

*They thought, as serious as can be. Yes the poor fool Kenshin, thought he could defeat, an Uzumaki member.... In an eating competition*
