Author note:i couldn't find the names on shino's aburame's family so I made them up

Naruto:...... Your absolutely right, I was thinking you could show me around, but what could be a greater sight then the home of the aburame clan?

*The 4 unlikely companions, made it to the aburame's clan district, they walked inside and instantly Sakura started to tremble seeing all the bugs flying around, Naruto glanced around seeing the place stop looking as a city the More they walked inside the district it started looking more like a wet forest, making it the perfect place for bugs to live*

Naruto:quite the peaceful place you have here, the humming of the insects is almost hypnotic

Shino:thank you

*They both kept walking in silence, Hinata and Sakura glanced at each other then back at the two, they didn't speak much, but they seem to understand each other, even though they've never met before*

Sakura:this is weird right?

Hinata:very, this is the first time I've seen shino so...relax?

*Hinata and Sakura whispered to each other, seeing the two quiet males walk in comfortable silence. They walked for till they made it to the biggest house in the district*

Shino: welcome to the aburame household, please enter, I'll tell my parents that your here, they'll be more then surprised to hear about you. Hinata already knows where the dining room is

Naruto: thank you for the hospitality, I hope I can live up to the expectations

*Shino just gave a nod and walked away, Naruto and Sakura followed Hinata to the dining room, while they were walking Naruto glance at Sakura*

Naruto:so, how was your day? Must've been a mighty curious one, If the first thing you did was come home, and try to "find" what you misplaced?

Sakura:uh, yeah. I asked Kakashi about you, you... Are certainly very powerful N

*Sakura said glancing at Naruto up and down, she let her gaze longer on the sword on Naruto's hip. Naruto just chuckled and shook his head*

Naruto:you flatter me, but no, not really, compared to the fully ranked samurai of my country, I'm actually quite lower level. Now emperor Mifune? Now that's a powerful samurai, the strongest both in power and mind out of all of us

Hinata:you certainly speak of your emperor with great admiration

*Hinata said as she opened the door to the dinning room, Naruto and Sakura walked in, Sakura blushed slightly seeing the hole she created when she saw the cockroach, still there*

Naruto:why shouldn't it? Emperor Mifune is the closest thing to the gods that anyone in iron country will ever reach. How do the two of you see your leader?

Sakura:a moron, that always manages to make his wife angry

Hinata:a....decent father?

*Both answered thinking of all the things that Minato has done while they were present, it's hard to see him as the protector of the village, when they've seen him run away terrified of his wife. Naruto looked at them curious, the very thought, the very idea, the simple notion of Naruto insulting his emperor like that, is enough to make him feel sick. So he sat down and put the thought aside*

Naruto: I'm not well versed, in the political landscape of the leaf, who is your leader?

Sakura:his name is Minato Namikaze, his wife is Kushina namikaze, they have two children too

*Sakura said as she sat down opposite to Naruto, Hinata joined her, while Naruto had a expression of thoughtfulness*

Naruto:there children are lucky, to have a family is a beautiful thing. I almost envy them

Sakura: almost?

Naruto:well that's a lie, there's a small part that does envy them having parents

Sakura: believe me, I know the feeling

*Sakura said with a sigh, since the times she wished she had her parents back, was more the once, hell more then a 100 times. *

Sakura"corrupt or not, they were still my parents"

Naruto:are you well Sakura?

*Naruto asked his tone with concern, she looked around and Hinata had the same concern showing on her face, she was confused until she felt something wet coming down her cheek. She quickly dried her tears and gave her best friend and new roommate a small smile*

Sakura:sorry, this conversation got me thinking of my parents, that always makes me a bit misty eyed

Naruto:my apologies for bringing it up

*Sakura waved her hand dismissively, though she did appreciate Hinata rubbing her back*

Sakura:it's fine, so! You've fought against Itachi of the Sharingan?

Naruto:indeed I did, the toughest fight I've had to date. I can't tell you the number of time I almost died, if I was even a millisecond off on timing my attacks he would use that to his advantage, I was lucky i could outsmart him a number of times, it's the reason I'm even here

*Naruto said thinking of the Sharingan of yagura, another person Naruto would like to visit and have some tea with. While in the background Hinata was glancing at him skeptically, not really believing that N could face against someone, like Itachi, and survive*

Naruto: even though, I say his nickname is just stupid, he's not the only Uchiha who has the Sharingan, i would give him the name Itachi the crow of the Shinigami.

Hinata:i.. I've seen him around the village, he always seems so gentle with his girlfriend izumi, I even heard a rumor that he's gonna propose to her soon

*Hinata said with a small shy smile, Naruto hummed in thought and even grew a smile on his face*

Naruto:oh well that's just lovely, love truly is the most important thing in the human existence in my opinion at least

Sakura:really? Then is there a special someone that has captured your heart?

*Sakura said with a teasing grin, Naruto chuckled as he took out his tanto and looked at the autumn leaf designs*

Naruto:in my 16 years of life, I've been on many places in my travels, I've collected a romantic relationship here and there, but nothing serious it's all casual. But in iron country? No, the girl who still has my heart in her hands is sadly isn't with the living anymore.

Sakura:oh I'm sorry to hear that. It was rude of me

*Sakura said with an embarrassed look on her face, Naruto waved his hand dismissively*

Naruto:Not at all, yes I'll miss her, But I'll always treasure the time I had with her in my memories. Death is the only thing no one can escape from, not even beings made of chakra. So why be sad about something completely natural?

Sakura:i wish I could think the same....

*There conversation was cut short, but not forgotten. When shino and his family came in*

Shino:N, this are my parents. My mother shika aburame, and my father shunichi aburame

Naruto:it's a pleasure to meet you both, I thank you for the hospitality

*Naruto said bowing to them, the aburame family kept there neutral stares as they stay down, with shika placing the plate of food for everyone*

Shunichi:shino told me of you N, of the thing you possess. The object that brought the Shinigami to my father

Naruto:do you wish to see them?

*Shunichi nodded, Naruto bite down on his thumb making it bleed, he threw the blood at the air*

Naruto: summoning Jutsu!

*Shunichi and shika both shared the surprised expression shino had in the morning as they saw the blood turned into butterflies*

*more and more would appear until the walls were covered by butterflies of different sizes and colors. It was an oddly beautiful sight*

Shunichi:so it is true, you do possess the butterfly contract. I know it might be a long shot, but do you know what happened to my father?

Naruto:well for one, he didn't meet the Shinigami. When one fails the butterfly test there bodies are transformed into butterflies, organs, bones, blood, everything. There very soul becomes one with the collected group of the hive mind.

*A butterfly flew to Naruto's thumb, the people around him saw the butterfly suck Naruto's blood then spit it back out healing the small opened wound that brought them here*

Naruto:For some it is a honor, a blessing to be one with the butterflies, for others a curse, a fate worse then death. Giving your clan's love of insect I can imagine it was an honor for your grandfather to be one with the butterflies. If you can be so kind, could you tell me the name of your father?

Shunichi:shun, shun aburame

*Naruto looked at the butterflies and started speaking in a language no one on the table could understand, the butterflies responded in the same language, Naruto looked back at shunichi*

Naruto:they told me that yes. The first part of his journey was successful as he found the contract. But he failed the butterfly test and became one, or more accurately thousands with the hive, they told me to take solace that he made it 1/4 of the way there. Many don't make it that far

Shunichi:i see, thank you. At least now I know what happened to him, I can finally have some closure on his death

*Shunichi said as they all started to eat, quite a few butterflies flew and landed on shunichi, he grew a small smile, since he would like to think that was his father giving him a hug*
