*Naruto opened his eyes and saw Hinata smiling at him, Naruto gave her a nod and changed his sitting position to a more relaxed one*

Naruto:a good morning to you Hinata, did you enjoy the breakfast?

Hinata:y..yes it was wonderful, thank you for making it. You didn't have to though, your our roommate not our butler

*Naruto patted the mat he was sitting on, it was big enough for two. Hinata nodded and sat down in front of Naruto, facing him*

Naruto:it's no bother for me, I enjoy cooking, brings back memories of miss Takeda teaching me how to make things like cookies, or how to grill eels

Hinata:that's sounds kinda nice, I wish I had memories of that of my own mother

*Hinata said softly, Naruto could see the expression change on Hinata's face, her smile didn't reach her eyes*

Naruto:miss Takeda Is not my mother, she's the caretaker of the orphanages

Hinata;o..oh I'm sorry that was so rude of me

*Hinata said nervously, but Naruto just shook his head. He gave Hinata a patient smile*

Naruto:you missed the point my dear, my memories aren't good memories because of blood. There good because of love

Hinata:I...don't understand

*Hinata said softly, Naruto took a deep breath and stretched, Hinata could hear the pops from Naruto's joints*

Naruto:what I'm saying is that family is more then just blood, there the people who you love and they love you back. You must have someone like that do you not?

Hinata:w..well there's miss namikaze she's very nice, and my sensei is very patience with me. She even taught me how to stitch

*Hinata smile got a little smaller but more
Sincere, Naruto smiled as this smile did reach her eyes*

Naruto:it would seem that you have some nice memories, you just haven't realized it till now. Remember family are not those who you share blood with, but those who you share love with

Hinata:that's... certainly a good to see things

*Naruto just shrugged with a smile thinking of all the people that he loves and the memories he build with them*

Naruto:you seem to be thinking more of the negatives of life, instead of the positive that it has given you

Hinata:yeah, guess I do. Tenten's always telling me I concentrate too much on the negative, guess she's not wrong is she?

*Hinata said with a bit of a amused huff st herself while Naruto just gave her a polite smile*

Naruto:now. Is there a reason you've been looking for me?

Hinata:oh uh right, right! W..well since you met Sakura's teammates, I was thinking that perhaps you would like to meet mine?

*Hinata said a bit nervously, Naruto hummed putting his hand on his chin, he shrugged his shoulders*

Naruto:I see no problems with that, but to make it clear, I did not meet Sakura's teammates. I simply trained near them, we did no socialize. I don't even know there names

Hinata:oh! Well one of them Is traveling on a training trip with family, but the two that were there was Kakashi Hatake, and Sasuke Uchiha

*Hinata said with a finger on her chin, Naruto hummed as he got back to s meditating position*

Naruto:i see, well would you care doing some meditation before we head off?

Hinata: meditation? Uh, I don't mean to be rude by why would you do that? I...I mean if it's a religious reason I'm sorry a....a...and

*Hinata stopped talking when Naruto raised his hand to silence her, Hinata did calm down when she saw Naruto smiling at her not offended in the slightest*

Naruto:i definitely think you should meditate with me it'll help you calm down. Now sit how I'm sitting

*Naruto said his tone held authority behind it, Hinata flinched and sat like Naruto was sitting without really knowing why she did it*

Naruto:now your going to close you eyes and take deep breaths

*Hinata nodded and started doing as she was told, she took a deep breath and let it go*

Naruto:now the difficult part of meditation. Clearing your mind

Hinata:clearing my mind? That doesn't seem so hard

Naruto:then by all means, don't let me stop you, continue

*Hinata kept taking breaths and didn't think about anything. But then it started, without wanting it, she started having memories. Random memories, like the time Kiba ate a super spicy chilli on a dare, the time she burped in public and didn't leave her room for a week, the time her father would train her and be disappointed. Hinata flinched when she felt a hand on her shoulder*

Naruto:not as easy now Is it? Let me help. Concentrate on just one thing. Keep breathing and think of a flower

Hinata:a flower? What kind?

Naruto:you tell me, close your eyes and tell me the flower you see

*Hinata nodded, she kept doing the breathing and started thinking of a flower*

Naruto:how many pets?

Hinata:80

*Hinata said as the flower became more clear in her mind, it was a beautiful flower. Naruto nodded and continued*

Naruto:what color does it have?

Hinata:it's...it's a mix of yellow and brown

*Hinata said as the flower was now clear in her mind, it was a sunflower, a rather mature sunflower*

Naruto:ah, a sunflower, symbolizing faith, devotion, radiating positivity and hope. All characters that I'm sure you possess

Hinata:I..I'm not so...

Naruto:now, where is the sunflower?

*Naruto said stopping Hinata from breaking the concentration. Hinata flinched as a pot grew around the flower, and a house was build around it*

Hinata; it's....it's in a flowerpot, in a home, it's next to a window

Naruto"hm, so she also feels trapped by something"

*Naruto said with his hand on his chin, he doesn't know Hinata that well be it he's only been in Konoha for 3 days, so he couldn't know why she felt trapped*

Naruto:what is the weather?

Hinata:it's a sunny day

*Hinata said with a smile, while she was smiling Naruto's curiosity was getting a bit bigger as he frowned a little

Naruto"yet the sunflower can't have all the sun, can't be fully free"

Naruto:now, I want you to concentrate on that sunflower, watching it in your mind as it changes it. Don't let others thoughts consume you, just keep thinking of that sunflower, in the window.

*Hinata nodded and they both breathed in and out continuing to meditate, Naruto having a much easier time with it giving he's been doing this for years, but still every now and then a memory would appear to him as well. Naruto took a calm breath and did the flower trick as always the same flower came into his mind*

*Naruto thought as he looked at Hinata who looked like she was struggling once more. Hinata flinched when she felt Naruto's hand on her shoulder*

Naruto:you were getting lost again my roommate

Hinata:how could you tell?

*Hinata said since the flower did work for a bit but she couldn't help but let her mind wonder again, on not so happy memories. Naruto just had a calm smile*

Naruto:because this is your first time, it's only natural that you're mind wanders. Even after years my mind still wonders every now and again, it's what a brain does best

Hinata:I didn't think it would so hard though

Naruto:there's nothing easy in this world my roommate, just because meditation looks easy doesn't mean it is. You have to train in order to have a calm mind

Hinata:did they teach you this in your samurai school?

Naruto:yes, but they teach this to all in iron country, since having a calm mind is important in so many situations. In the role of a samurai it's not only important to have a strong body, but a strong mind and soul.

Hinata:I imagine it wasn't easy having little kids all sit quietly and meditate huh?

Naruto:ha not even a little, I was one of those children. Heh oh miss Takeda was not pleased with me

*Naruto said chuckling, he scratched his cheek a bit embarrassed that he was one of those kids who couldn't stay quiet and still*

Naruto"ironically Mugen had no problem doing such that. Heh still owe the bastard for helping me"

Hinata:I can only imagine, but I do feel more...calm?  That's what meditation is for right? I feel a bit more calm

Naruto:then it works. If you would like we can meditate together whenever you please, but I do believe you wanted me to meet your team yes?

*Naruto saw Hinata pale and look up to the sky to use the sun to tell the time*

Hinata:oh my God I'm gonna be late!

*Hinata screamed whatever calmness she gained disappeared as she grabbed Naruto by the neck of his kimono and dragged him with along. Naruto was surprised at her strength as she ran as fast as she could*
