It's uncommon for anomalies to show up in the Shadow Realm. A lake of darkness covers most of the dimension, with an eternal starless night hanging above. A terribly distant light source provides very little illumination, but the few islands manage just fine.

They live on the islands, above the sea. They are humanoid, having lobster-like claws and little, jelly-like horns, with glowing eyes. Their skin is grainy, and there are bioluminescent speckles on their extremities. In order to survive, they craft boats from the palm trees of the islands, and sail across the shadow sea in pods.

Volfar

Gross, slimy creatures, which live in the depths of the shadow sea, communicating through tiny electrical signals. Their outside bodies are dark, but on the inside is a white core, with calcium teeth and underdeveloped eyes. They can mold their bodies so that their teeth and eyes emerge. With the inclusion of anomalies falling into their domain, Volfars evolved white markings: false eyes and smiles, in order to better ease their prey into a sense of safety...

It is to be noted that billions of hibernating and deceased Volfars make up the bottom of the dimension, with the real, solid ground being millions of miles down further. Anything that touches the living floor will be swallowed up by countless gaping maws.
