You and Clem kept looking out towards the woods, keeping an eye out for your mom, Lee, Mark and the teenager, Ben. Duck tried to get you guys to play but you two were so worried about the people you cared about. Sometime later, Carley and Ben, who was carrying a basket, came back to tell you guys about the farm that two brothers, Andy and Danny, live looked legit and safe.

Carley handed the basket, which had some biscuits, to you and the others and told everyone about the farm and that Katjaa should go cuz the St. John's had a sick cow. Lilly still wanted to check it out so she lead the rest of you guys to the farm while Carley and Ben stayed at the motor inn to keep look out.

You, Clem, Duck, Kenny, Katjaa, Lilly and Larry all started to make your way to the path of the farm. Finally, you see a fence surrounding a large two story house with a large red building to the side. Up ahead, you see The St. John brothers with a heavyset woman talking to Lee and Mark. "Hey y'all!" Kenny greeted them until all of you saw that Mark had an arrow in his shoulder.

"Mark! Oh my God, what happened?" Katjaa exclaims in fear as all of y'all run up to him. "He got shot with an arrow." Lee replied. "Shit! Are you gonna be okay?" Lilly asked Mark, who was clutching his injured shoulder. "Yeah, I'm fine. I should just....pull it out...." said Mark.

"Oh no, honey, c'mon, Brenda's got you." The woman said as she walks up to Mark. "C'mon inside now. We'll have you all sorted out." And she, Katjaa and Mark walk up to the house.

"What kind of shit is this?!" Larry asked Lee, angrily. "We ran into some people on the way up here...bandits I guess. I think it was them that attacked us. "They gave us a lot of problems in the beginning, killed a bunch of our farmhands. We were able to get 'em to stop by makin' a deal." Andy informed.

"You knew about these people?" Kenny asked him, suspiciously. "Food for protection. Not like we had much of a choice, but they did stop hasslin' us." Danny replied. "Dammit! Carley said this place was locked down tight!" Larry growls. "Maybe it isn't as safe here as we thought." Lee remarked as he glares at the brothers.

"We're sorry! We've never had them screw with us like this! Not since we started givin' 'em food! Listen, we may have had an agreement with those people, but we will NOT stand for this shit." Andy said. "Ain't no way we're gonna let those sons o' bitches get away with this!" Danny said with determination.

"You know where these assholes are?" asked Kenny. "They're hard to pin down, but I think I know where at least one of their camps are." Danny said before he looks over at Lee. "When you're ready to go scope out that bandit camp, come find us." Then he and Andy walk back over to the house.

"Bandits? Are you serious? This place isn't safe. We can't stay here." Lilly said. "Not safe?! This place is a hell of a lot safer than that motor inn! I think all of us and our guns can handle a couple of punks with bows and arrows! What we need to do is find a way to get our whole group out here to stay. Take this place over if we have to." Kenny said. "Cool your jets there, Rambo. These are nice people. Let's not do anything to get us thrown out before we eat." Larry warned Kenny.

"I'm gonna head out and help Dan deal with these bandits. You guys should try to make friends with Andy and Brenda while I'm gone." Lee said to them. "Well, that's easy. I've got charm coming out of my ass." Larry said with a smile. "Yeah, that's...real charming, dad." Lilly remarked, sarcastically.

"Where's Carley and Ben?" Lee asked, noticing that they weren't around.
"Since Carley and Ben ate some of the food on the way back to get us, she volunteered to stay behind and watch the motor inn until we get back." Lilly replied as Andy walks back up to Lee.

"Hey, I remembered seeing kids in your group, so I went ahead and fixed that swing while you were out." Andy said before he turns to you, Clem and Duck. "Hope you kids like swings!" He said. "A swing! I love swings!" You exclaimed. "Yeah, just like my treehouse! Come on, guys!" Clem said and the three of you run to the swing.

"Thanks." Lee said to Andy. "Anytime." Andy said. "We're looking out for ya!" And he makes his way back to the house while Kenny goes and pushes Duck on the swing.

Lee watches them for a moment before he walks up to you and Clem. "Hey Clem...(y/n), do you two like the swing?" Lee asked you two. Clem nods as you said. "Yeah! It's fun!"

"Be sure to tell Andy thank you, okay?" said Lee. "We will!" You and Clem said in unison. "Will you push us on it?" Clem asked. "Sure, happy to push you two on the swing." Lee said and he stands up and looks over at Kenny. "Mind if Clement and (y/n) take a turn?" Kenny nods as he stops pushing Duck. "All right, Duck, let's let Clement and (y/n) have a try for a bit." Kenny said to his son. "Okay." Duck said as he jumps off of the swing. Lee gestures to the swing and said. "Ladies first."

You smile as you go over to the swing, sit down and Lee begins to push you while Clem watches. "What do you think of the dairy?" Lee asked you. "It's pretty. It reminds me of how things used to look before." You replied. "Yeah, it does." Lee mutters.
"Do you think things will ever get back to how they were?" Clem asked Lee. "Yeah. I'm not sure when, but one day things have got to get back to normal." Lee replied, trying to be optimistic. "That's good. I hope it's soon." You said. "Me too." said Lee. "Me three." Clem said and the three of you giggle.

"How are you two holding up?" Lee asked looking between the two of you. "I'm okay I guess." Clem replied. "Yeah me too. Are you okay?" You said to Lee. "Yeah, I'm just a little worried about Mark." Lee said before he stops the swing. "Alright it's Clem's turn." He said. "Okay." You said as you hop off and Clem gets on the swing.

"Is Mark going to be okay?" Clem asked as Lee begins to push him. "He got lucky out there. Could have been a lot worse." Lee replied. "Are you going to find the people who hurt Mark?" You asked him. "We have to make sure they don't hurt anyone else." said Lee.

"Be careful. I want you to stay lucky, too." Clem said to him. "Ever since I met you I've had good luck, so don't worry." Lee said to Clem with a smile.
"Okay." Clem said as you smiled at them. Even though he wasn't Clem's father, Lee was a great dad to Clem and it kinda made you jealous as you wished your father was here to say those kinds of things to you.

"Don't worry, we're safe here now." Lee said. "As long as the bad people don't get us too, right?" You asked, gesturing between you and Clem. "I won't let what happened to Mark happen to either you or Clem. Besides, I think your mother would kill me if I didn't prevent that." Lee replied and you giggled at this.

"Promise?" Clem asked. "I promise." Lee said. "All right, Clem, that's enough for now."

"Okay. Thanks for pushing me." Clem thanked. "Yeah, me too." You said as Clem gets off. "Of course!" Lee said, happily. Then he turns to Kenny and said. "It's all yours!"

"Yeah!!" Duck exclaims as he runs towards the swing. "Okay, Duck, don't pop a gasket." Kenny groans as he walks over to the swing and begins to push Duck again. Lee and Kenny have a talk amongst each other before Lee left and went to talk to Lilly for awhile.

Then he makes his way back to the house and towards the brothers. "How are ya feelin', Lee? I'm really sorry you almost got killed out there. We should have told you how dangerous it was." Andy said, apologetically. "No shit." Lee remarked. "You saw what they did to your buddy. Nobody's safe here until we start to fight back." Danny said.

"But how?" Lee asked them. "The two of us should go out and do some recon, then we'll all mount up for some revenge." Danny replied. "Hell, yeah." Andy said, enthused.

"Who the fuck are these people in the woods?" Lee asked the brothers. "We don't know. We think some of 'em used to work at the big box up the way." Andy replied.

"Save Lots." Danny corrected his brother. "Yeah. Anyway, They're nutty as hell. And get mad when they're hungry." Andy replied. "So, are ya ready to head out there and find their camp?" Danny asked Lee. "Yeah. It'll be a good opportunity to find out a bit more about what we're up against. Let's do it." replied Lee.

"I'll stay here and hold down the fort." Andy said. "Remember: we're just doing reconnaissance for now. No use getting ourselves killed." Danny said and he goes and grabs a couple of guns and hands one to Lee. Lee takes it and the two men start to head to the front gate.

You and Clem saw this and ran over to Lee. "Are you going now?" Clem asked Lee. "Yeah. I'll be back soon, kids." Lee said, smiling at you two. "Please be lucky." You said to Lee. "I will." Lee said and he and Danny head out into the woods.

Eventually, Danny and Lee found a very small camp and started to look around. It was just a tent, some chairs and a couple of tables with empty boxes and cans and a firepit. Danny checked the tent to see that nobody was inside except for a couple of sleeping bags.

The two looked around the camp and found really nothing until Lee found a little camera. He picks it up and pushes the power button but it doesn't come on. After Danny moves away from the tent, Lee decides to take a look inside of the tent.

Inside was just two sleeping bags, a stuffed animal and a picture of a woman and a little girl. At the end of one of the sleeping bags, there was a hump. Lee pulls the blanket back to reveal Clem's hat. "What the hell?!" Lee mutters as he picks up the hat and saw a necklace was hiding under it. He picks that up and realized that he recognizes it to be your locket. "How the hell...?"

"Don't you fucking move!" A woman's voice threatens. Lee jumps and turns around to see a woman with wild brown hair and a crossbow aiming at him some feet away. Lee and Danny draw their guns and aim it at her. "Put your guns down!" The woman orders.
"I ain't going back. You tell 'em Jolene ain't goin' back!"

"Hey! We had a deal! No shooting as long as we gave you food!" Danny shouts at her. "What the fuck happened?"

"You had a deal with THEM. I ain't THEM!" Jolene said in a shakey voice. "I know you. I know what you are, I know what you do."

"You don't know me." Danny said, defensively. "Steal my shit! Steal everything from me!" Jolene shouts.
"We had a deal! You people broke it first!" said Danny.

"Why are you alone up here? What happened to you?" Lee asked her.

"That's a hell of a question, mister. They told me I'd be safe with them....Men who lived here. But it weren't safe. Not for me, and not for my girl. They didn't treat her nice. Not at all. They took her away, into the woods. Wouldn't tell me where. And I begged 'em. Every way I could think. They just laughed....So I killed 'em." She rambled before she began to laugh. "And I'm staying here 'til she comes back to me. One way or another....she'll come back."

Then she looks around at the two men and said. "Now maybe you didn't hear me last time when I asked you sweet.....put your damn guns down! You think I won't kill you? I'm gonna take this here crossbow, and put a nice sharp arrow, right through your eyeball. And into your damn brain. You're all monsters! All men are monsters! Take what they want and destroy it all. Take a can of beans, take a little girl...it's all the fucking same to you!"

"Where did you get this hat and locket?" Lee asked her. "The little girl and little boy." Jolene replied. "You stole it from them!" Lee shouted. "So what if I did? You stole her from ME!!" Jolene spat. Lee gives her a confused and asked. "What the hell are you talking about?"

"You know what? I changed my mind....I'm putting this arrow right through your balls. Yeah! Right through. String 'em up in that tree. Then I'm a head down to that farm, and shoot every damn person I see." said Jolene. "Look, there's two of us and one of you. No matter what happens, one of us is gonna kill you." Lee threatens.

"Like you could kill me. They couldn't kill me. They tried. Killin' everywhere. Take all the dead folks you want, we'll make more!" Jolene said then she looks over at Danny. "Go on, tell him, boy! Tell him what you got in mind for--"

BANG!!

Danny shoots her right between the eyes and her body flops forward on the ground. Lee jumps in shock as Danny exclaims. "Dammit!"

"You straight up murdered that woman!" Lee said to Danny. "Hardly. She had a crossbow pointed at my forhead. It's a clean shot though....right through the forehead. That's good shootin' right there. Still, what a waste." Danny said as Lee shakes his head and sighs.

"So that's it? We going back?" Lee asked him. "If they ain't here, I don't know where they are. And it ain't a good idea to go tromping through the woods looking for them. So, yeah, we head back. Once they see this...they'll get the message." Danny said as he walks over to Jolene's body and picks up her crossbow and takes it. Then the two men began to make their way back to the farm.

Back at the farm, you, Duck and Clem were sitting in the farm, looking at the cow that Katjaa was taking care of. You guys stopped swinging as it was getting dark and alittle windy. Looked like a storm was coming through as you could hear thunder rumbling in the distance.

You saw a big white block near the cow and pointed at it. "What's that?" You asked Katjaa, Andy, who was sitting nearby, and Kenny. "It's called a salt lick." Kenny replied. "Oh." You said.

"Hey, (y/n). I dare you to lick it!" Duck said. "What?! No!" You exclaimed.
"Well I double dare!" Clem said. You look over at him in shock as Duck said. "Oh...now you definitely have to do it!" You groan and look at the block and kneel down. You stuck your tongue out and ran it across the surface of the block.

You stood up and began to gag and spit. The boys began to laugh at your reaction as you wiped your mouth with the back of your hand. "You guys are jerks!" You said as the boys continues to laugh. "Okay boys, that's enough!" Katjaa said and they started to calm down. "Blech!" You said just as Lee walks in the barn and Clem looks down at the cow.

"It's okay, Clement, you can pet her." Katjaa assured and Clem looks at her before he looks up at Lee. "It's okay, go ahead." Lee said, encouragingly. Clem bends down and begins to pet the cow. "Katjaa says Maybelle could have her baby tonight!" You said to Lee.

"We'll see, (y/n)." Katjaa said as Lee looks over at the salt lick. "What's this thing?" Lee asked. Duck smiles and said. "Daddy says it's called a salt lick."

"Yeah, don't lick it. It's gross." You said as Lee stands up and folds his arms. He smiles as he asks. "Did you lick it?" The boys started to laugh again as you pointed at them. "They dared me to!" You exclaimed. Lee shook his head as he goes to look around the barn and noticed the locked back door.

Kenny goes up to Lee and whispers to him that he noticed that Andy was locking the door real tight when they came in. Kenny told Lee about his suspicions as he also said he heard a noise behind the door. Lee looks over the padlock and noticed the screws around the lock. He told Kenny that he'll look for a tool to unscrew the lock and look inside to see what the St. John were hiding. Andy did find them talking amongst each other and warned them to don't go snooping around me.

As Lee was walking out of the barn, he stops and turns to you and Clem.
"Here Clement." He said and he pulls out the hat. Clem smiles as he exclaims and takes his hat. "My hat! You found it!!" Lee smiles then he turns to you and said. "And here you go, (y/n)." Then he hands you your locket. "My locket!! Thank you! Thank you!!" You said as you take your locket.

"I knew you'd find them! You said you would!" Clem said, smiling, as he puts his hat on and you put your locket around your neck. "Listen, did either of you....give your stuff to anyone?" Lee asked you two. "No." You and Clem replied. "Did either of you see any strangers around the motor inn who might have taken them?" Lee asked. "No. Why?" You and Clem said. Lee kneels in front of you two and said. "It's probably nothing. Just let me know if you two ever see anything like that."

"Okay." You said. "I will." Clem said at the same time.

"Hey, Lee. Do you think you'll ever have kids?" Clem asked. "I'd like to someday. Maybe a little boy and a little girl, like you two." Lee replied, smiling at you two. "That's nice. You'd be a good daddy." You said to him. Lee smiles as Clem said. "Thanks again for finding my hat."

"Yeah, thanks for finding my locket!" You said. "You're welcome, kiddos." Lee said and he starts to head out of the barn while you turn and start to pet the cow.

Few minutes after Lee left, Andy went outside and noticed that the generator wasn't working so he got to work on it. Meanwhile, Lee walks back into the barn and goes over to the back door.

At that moment, a bell was sounded out. "Mom! Dad! Dinner time! Dinner time!!!" Duck exclaims, happily, as he stands up. "Okay, honey. Let's get Dad." Katjaa said. Duck turns around and runs to his dad. "Dad! Dad! C'mon, let's EEAAAAATTT!" Duck exclaims as he comes to Kenny, who was standing with Lee in front of the door.

"Kenny? Come along, honey." Katjaa said as she stands up. "Kenny, c'mon, don't make the children wait." Kenny turns to Lee and whispers. "I'll make an excuse for you....get that thing off!" And he walks out of the barn, behind you, Clem, Duck and Katjaa, and head to the house.

All of you enter the house and head to the dining room where you see a table all set up with plates, silverware. You and Clem go to sit next each other on one side of the table. "Everybody sit down and I'll go get the meal! Ooh, this is a delight!" Brenda said with excitement. "I could eat a horse." Kenny exclaimed.

Lee walks in the room and noticed that someone was missing. "Where's Mark?" He asked. "Now don't you worry about him. I've already brought some food up. You just let him rest." Brenda assured Lee but he was skeptical about her explanation.

"Mind if I wash my hands first?" Lee asked her. "Bathroom's right outside in the hall. And be sure to get under your nails, you've been muckin' around in the dirt all day." Brenda said. Lee nods and leaves the room but he doesn't go to the bathroom but up the stairs.

Brenda starts bringing the food and sets the table and you and the others were getting excited. The food smelled fantastic, your mouth was watering at the food. "Lee, did you fall in?! Dinner's on the table an everyone's havin' at!" Brenda called out as Duck said. "Barbeque! Wow..."

All of you started plating the food and you and Clem were about to take your first bite when suddenly you heard someone shout. "Clement! (Y/N)! NO!"

You and Clem stop as you look up and see Lee at the doorway, a look of fear and horror on his face. You and Clem set your forks down as everyone looks up at Lee but Duck continued to eat his food.

"Lee, Jesus, man! Did you find something?" Kenny asked him. "Sit your ass down, Lee. This lady had made you a meal." Larry said. "Yeah, Lee, what's gotten into you?" Lilly asked.

Lee points at Brenda and said. "This woman, right here, is fucking insane!"

"This woman made you a home cooked meal, you ungrateful little shit! Show some respect!" Larry defended. "Thank you, Larry." Brenda said, appreciatively. "You don't even have the descency to take a handout when you're offered one it just makes me sick, it really does." Larry said as he glares daggers at Lee. "That's enough, Larry." Brenda said to him, calmly.

"You know what? Fuck you, Larry. Eat up." Lee shouted at him. "I will, and I'll enjoy every last bite." Larry said and he takes a bite out of his food and glares at Lee in defiance. "Lee, what the hell is wrong with you?!" Lilly asked. "Don't indulge him, Lilly. It's always something with this guy." Larry growls while Katjaa takes Duck's plate away. "Mom! I was eating that!" Duck whined.

"They're picking us off to trade as meat!" Lee finally said. "You're out of your skull!" Larry shouts. "Mark is upstairs right now with NO LEGS!!" Lee shouts at Larry then he turns to Brenda and said. "Brenda, tell me he's not being eaten right now."

Everyone looks over at Brenda as she looks down on the table and sighs. "It's true." She admits. "Everything coulda turned out okay for you folks." Danny mutters as he continues to eat. "He woulda' died anyway! We gotta think about LIVIN'!" Andy said while you and the group look at the St. John's in shock and horror.

"Settle down, honey." Brenda said to her son. "Growin' up in rural Georgia, you're taught not to waste. It's how I was raised and how I raised my boys. Now, you got monsters roamin' around that do nothin' but eat people. And for what? To continue to rot 'til they eat some more. We think we could put that meat to better use." She said as everyone pushed their plates away from them.

"I think I'm gonna puke." Lilly mutters.

"Andy is right; we go after folks who were gonna die anyways, one way or another." Brenda said as Danny swallows his food then looks up at the others. "Like y'all." He said.

"Clement, (y/n), run!" Lee shouts and you two were about to get up until Andy pulls out his gun and starts to point it at everyone. "Nobody's going anywhere!" He said as Danny stands up and aims his rifle at the others. "We got lots of use for y'all right here." Danny said as Andy stands up as well.

Larry was shocked as he stammers while Lilly shouts, angrily. "Put your guns down! We're walking out of here!"

"Don't come near my family!" Kenny threatens. "Everyone! Everything will be okay!" Lee tries to reassure. You and Clem look up at him in fear. "Lee!" Clem said, his voice trembling with fear. "Lee..." you said at the same time in the same tone until Andy grabs the back of your head and pulls you out of your seat.

You screamed as Clem looks up at Andy, angrily. "Leave her alone!" He said as he gets up and tries to attack Andy. But Andy kicks the boy, knocking him down to the ground.
"I'll kill you!!" Lee growls as he starts to charge at Andy but Danny puts his gun onto Lee's neck, stopping him.

Suddenly, there was a noise and everyone looks towards the door.
"Pllleeease.....someone...!" Mark said as he drags himself in front of the doorway as everyone sees that his legs were missing. Everyone gasped in horror while Lee turns to look at you and Clem, who got up.

"Kids..!" Lee started to shout but Danny uses the butt of his gun to hit him in the face, knocking him out.
