Lee bursts through the door to the underground bunker in the sewer and starts to yell for Vernon. "Vernon! Get out here! There doesn't have to be any trouble here, all I want is the kids! Give them back and nobody needs to get hurt!" But there was no one reply. Confused, they look around the room for a bit until he heard the walkie-talkie go off.

"Lee?" He heard Clem's voice say in a voice full of fear. He picks up the talkie and said. "Clement!" Then he heard your voice say. "Help us." His heart froze in fear as he said. "(Y/N)! Are you two all right? Where are you guys?" But you or Clem didn't reply. "Vernon, you son of a bitch!" He shouts in the talkie.

"Hello Lee..." a man's voice greeted. He didn't sound like Vernon at all. "Who is this?" Lee asked, angrily. "It's not Vernon, if that's what you're thinking. And you should really watch your tone. Clement and (y/n) are fine. But if I were you, I'd choose my next words very carefully." The man replied, slowly.

"Please don't hurt them!" Lee pleads.

"Hurt them? I'm not the one who hurts people. There's an ocean of dead between you and me and them, and if I can thank God for anything anymore, it's that." The man said and Lee lowers the talkie as he looks down, a worried and scared look etched across his face. "Just hold on, kiddos. I'm coming for you." Lee mutters.

Meanwhile, the man took you and Clem to the Marsh House and he pushed you two in a room. When the man wasn't looking, you had the opportunity to grab the walkie-talkie and speak into it. "Lee, Lee, Lee, we're okay, we're where Clem's parents---"
But you stopped when the man walked up to you and Clem. "Oh no!" You exclaimed as you dropped the walkie-talkie. "What are you doing?" The man asked you. You cower in fear and began to whimper as the man advances on you. "What were you doing?!" He asked, angrily, then he grabbed you. You screamed as Clem shouts. "Leave her alone!" And Clem tries to fight but the man was able to grab on both of you and shoved you two in an empty bedroom.

You curled up in the bed, scared about what was coming next. But you were also worried that Lee might not make it to you two and you and Clem wouldn't see him again. But you hoped the clue you gave him would help him and he would make it to you guys.

It felt like hours as you and Clem sit there in the room, you kept looking out the window and saw the sun setting and you knew it was starting to get dark and time was running out.

Suddenly, you heard a noise outside of the bedroom door. Both you and Clem stood up in feet as you heard voices. "Let us out! Who's out there?" Clem shouts. "Quiet please, sweethearts!" You heard the man shouts back and then you kept hearing quieten voices outside.

You leaned in the door and listen as hard as you could then you gasped. "That sounds like Lee." Clem leans his ear at the door and nodded. "I think you're right." He said as you heard the man starting to shout at Lee then the voices were lowered in the quiet voice again.

Scared, you quietly opened the door and removed the rope around the door knob, which was attached to the closet door across from you. You and Clem stick your heads out and see Lee sitting across from the man as he looks down at his bag.

Lee's eyes widen at the site of you two as the man said. "I wish you wouldn't have had to get this bad, but it's all over, hon. Isn't it?"

Lee turns his head and looks directly at the lamp on the desk next to the bedroom door. You follow his gaze and nod at him as you make your way to the lamp. "I hate seeing you like this. I just miss your smile, honey." The man said to the head in the bag.
You grab the lamp and slowly walk behind the man. "I miss you so much, Tess. You're going to like Clement and (y/n) a lot, though. They're not like our kids, but they're sweet. Neither of them would hurt a fly." He said just as you raised the lamp and whacked him with it on the side of his head.

Lee took his opportunity and launched himself at the man and they fall over. Lee rolls to his side and the man launches himself on top of Lee while Lee grabs his gun. The two struggled for a bit until Lee kicks the man away from him, the gun flys out of his hand on the other side of the room.

The man runs over to the gun but Lee stands up and slams him against the closet door and the two began to struggle. But the man was able to get the upper hand as Lee only had one arm and he knocks Lee down and starts to choke him. "You son of a bitch...." the man growls. "Just go away....Die!"

But then a shot was sounded out and a bullet hit the man's head and his body slumps forward on Lee. Lee rolls him off of him and turns to see you holding the gun while Clem stood behind you, in total shock.

You were in shock too at what you just done. That was the first time you used a gun since the practice that Lee gave you, and it had to be when you had to kill your human. Lee stands up then walks over to you and Clem as you began to shake.

"I....I....I...." you stammered as you dropped the gun and Lee kneels down to you two and the three of you began to hug each other. "It's okay. It's okay." Lee said, soothingly, to you. As the three of you pull back from the hug, both you and Clem noticed that his left arm was missing.

"Your arm's gone....why? That's so scary...." Clem said, fearfully. "I had an accident. We'll talk about it somewhere safe." Lee said. "You don't smell good." You remarked as you look and see he was covered in dark blood. "Yeah, I know." said Lee. "Did he hurt you?"

"No, not really." You replied, rubbing your arm, as Clem shakes his head then said. "I'm sorry, Lee."

"Clem, it's okay. We need to get you guys somewhere safe and then we have to talk, okay?" Lee said as he stands back up. "Yeah." Clem said as you give a slight nod. "Everything's okay now. We need to figure out how to get out of Savannah as fast as we can." Lee replied as he squats down and picks up the gun you dropped.

"You pulled the trigger." Lee said as he looks at you. "I....I....I know." You muttered. "I wish....I wish you'd never had to learn that." Lee said as he gives you a sad look. "Me, too." You said and Lee heads to the front door.

He opens it only to be greeted by a walker, but it doesn't attack him at all. He grabs it, throws it to the floor and fires a bullet in its head. "It....it...it didn't bite you." Clem pointed out.
"Yeah....I know it....must've...." Lee said as he stares at the walker in shock as he sets the gun down, since it was out of bullets. "You're covered in all that gross stuff." You said as you gesture to the blood covering Lee. "I had to get through a bunch of them to get here." Lee said then he thinks for a moment. "That's how we'll get out of Savannah." He mutters as he walks over to the desk and picks up his cleaver and walks back to the walker body.

He kneels down and used the cleaver to cut open the walker. "Oh no...." you and Clem said, realizing what was going to happen. After Lee cuts the Walker open, he scoops up some guts as you and Clem recoil in disgust. Lee raises the guts and starts to wipe some of it on Clem, who made some noise of disgust. Then he turns around around and Lee got his back.

Once Clem was done, Lee looks over at you and you sigh as Lee scoops up some more guts and starts to cover you. It felt wet and sticky, it also didn't have a pleasant smell to it. You gagged and ewww'd for awhile as you turned around and he got your back as well. "So...gross..." you remarked in disgust.

"There, that should do it." Lee said as he stands up and drops the guts on the floor. "I hope so." Clem said in disgust. "And you're missing something." Lee said and he pulls out Clem's hat. "I thought it was gone." Clem said as he takes his hat back and puts it on his head. "I thought both of you were gone." Lee said and you two smiled at him. "Thank you." Clem said.

"Stay right next to me and walk very slowly. Don't look around and don't panic." Lee said to you two and you and Clem nod at him. "I'll keep you two safe." He said and the three of you walk out of the Marsh House and out into the Walker infested street.

The three of you walk real slow and you and Clem stood by Lee's side. You were beyond terrified, there was so many walkers around you but thankfully the blood you guys were covered masked you three real well so far.

Suddenly, Clem stops and stares to his right in shock and horror. "Clem?" You asked in a whisper. And you follow his gaze and see a male walker and a female walker standing some feet away from you. You were confused and you look over at Clem and saw his face was full of fear. "Are they...?" You started to ask and he nods, slowly. You gasped as you started to feel real sorry for Clem.

"Clem, don't...."Lee whispered until he fell over. You two gasped then started to look around for a safe place. You see a gate that was opened nearby and pointed it out to Clem. He nods and the two of you began to carry Lee towards that building.

Once you two got him inside, Clem shuts the gate and you began to shake Lee's shoulder. "Lee, wake up! Please don't be dead, please no!" You plead and you see him opening his eyes.
"Lee! We were so scared....I--I thought you left us....I....I..." you said as Clem comes over and kneels down the other side of Lee. "I saw my parents." Clem said to Lee, his voice full of tears.

"I know. They didn't get to you, right?" Lee asked, his voice now going hoarse. You also noticed that his skin color was turning gray. "No. We got away." Clem replied. "They're dead for sure."

Lee starts to sit up and said. "Kids, we have got to get out of here as fast as we can."

"We can't!" Clem exclaims.

"There's thousands of them outside." You said.

"We have to. I'll protect you guys; we'll push through them." Lee said and Clem shakes his head. "No, that's crazy! We saved you; we're safe here, I locked us in." Clem said and Lee's eyes widen. "Get that door open." He said, firmly. "I can't!" Clem exclaims. "Do it!" Lee shouts and you and Clem stand up and go over to the gate.

"It was only a little open when we found it. I closed it to keep us safe." Clem replied as you and him try to open. Lee goes to the other end and said. "Pull on three. One....two....three!" And all three of you try to pull the door up to open but it wouldn't budge.

All of you stop as Lee begins to cough and groan. "See?" Clem said as Lee turns to face you two. "Clement...(y/n)....kids. My arm is gone because I cut it off." He said. "Why would you do that...?" You asked. "Because I was bitten." Lee replied and you and Clem look at him in shock.

"Please, no!" You cried.

"No. That's not true!" Clem exclaims in fear.

"Yes, it is." Lee said and you and Clem begin to cry. "It's going to be okay. You two are going to be okay. We just have to think and work together."

"Okay." You whimper as Clem stares at Lee. Lee stands up, wobbles for a bit, then looks to his left to see a large window that shows another room, and a walker was on there. It looked like it was trapped as it was in the seating position.

"I think there might be a way out over there." You said as you point at the window. "Good. Good girl. Let's go. I might be alittle slow." Lee said and he begins to walk a few feet but he falls agains the counter. "We'll help you." Clem said as he walks over to Lee's side and the two of you guide Lee to the end of the counter.

As you two lead him down the counter, Clem said. "We thought we were helping by bringing you in here."

"Oh, you did, buddy. It's awful out there, they woulda chewed me up." Lee said. "It was hard." You said to him. "I don't know how you kids did it but both of you did good, okay?" Lee said and both of you lead him to the end of the counter where he walks forward a bit then falls and sits down, leaning against the wall.

"Get up, Lee, the door's right here." Clem cries as he points at the door behind him. Lee grits his teeth and tries to get up but fails. "I can't." He said. "You have to." You said. "Guys... I can't move. This is it for me here." Lee said.

"Please, please try to get up." You two plead and Lee tries again but can't. "I can't. You two don't have much time. You gotta do something, fast." Lee said. "Like what?" Clem asked him.
"Both of you have to keep away from me." Lee said. "But....Lee...." you two cried.

"Do whatever you two have to do to keep me away from both of you. You have to." Lee said and you sniffled as Clem said. "Okay."

"We'll figure it all out. Don't worry." Lee said and he looks around the room and saw a baseball bat under the counter. "There's a baseball bat under the counter, kids. You can use that." He said and Clem runs over to the bat and grabs it.

"Use the bat to shatter that window, so you can reach in, okay?" Lee said to Clem as he gestures to the window on the door. "Okay..." Clem said as he walks up to the door. "Watch out for broken glass." Lee warned and Clem raises the bat and smashed the window open. "Good job." Lee congrats as you two hear the walker making noises.

"Don't be afraid of him, kids. You two are smart. He isn't. You two are smarter than all of them." Lee said and you look to the side and saw a chair. You pulled the chair in front of the door and reached over to unlock the door. "Good job, (y/n). Smart girl." Lee said as you open the door.

"He's....he's trapped." You informed as you see that the Walker was indeed trapped. "This'll be easy, then....he's got keys, probably to that door, and everything you need." Lee said and he notices that there was handcuffs on the floor a few feet in front of the walker.

"There are handcuffs on the ground. Get them." He instructs. "Okay, Lee..." Clem said and he goes over to the handcuffs and grabs them. "Put the handcuffs on me. Attach me to this." Lee said as he gestures to the heater system next to him. "What? Why?" You asked him. "No matter what happens, you two are safe then." Lee replied. "I don't know...." Clem stammers. "Just do it, Clem." Lee said. "Make sure they're tight."

Clem walks over to Lee and handcuffs him in place. "I don't want to do this." He cries. "You have to. It'll keep you and (y/n) safe." Lee said. "You'll only have to deal with him now." He said as he gestures to the walker. "He's trapped over there....if you're careful you can get what you need from him."

"I'll do it." You said as you go over to the door. "The keys and then the gun." Lee nods and said. "Yeah, the keys and the gun. Just don't be afraid. If anything gets dangerous, you're faster than he is."

"What should I get first?" You asked him as you look over at the walker. "Get the gun, (y/n). Always the gun." Lee replied and you walk over to the walker. You raises your hand and tried to reach for the gun but the walker grabbed you. You yelped as you try to run but you fall over and the walker was free as it grabbed your foot.

You screamed as you tried to get away and Clem's eyes widen. "(Y/N)!" He exclaims and he sees the bat he dropped, grabs it and started bashing the walker's head in until it stopped moving. You pulled your foot out of the monsters grasp as Clem let's out a few deep breaths. "I did it. I got him!" He said and you look up at Clem. He turns to you and asked. "You okay?" You nod as he holds his hand out to you and helps you up. "Good job, kids." Lee said and you walk over to the walker and grabbed the keys and gun then both of you turn to Lee.

"Hey. You two are strong, and you're stronger together. You two can do anything." Lee said. "But we're little." You pointed out. "Doesn't mean nothin. You guys are going to see bad stuff, but it's okay." Lee replied. "My parents. It's so horrible." Clem cries as you nod in agreement. "I can't imagine, buddy." Lee said to him.
"And now....you?" Clem said as he looks at Lee.

"Please....please don't be one of them. Please don't become a walker." You plead in tears to Lee. "There's only one thing you can do. You know that." Lee said as he looks at you two. "I don't know if I can." Clem replied.
"Me either." You said.

"One of you has to shoot me." Lee said.

"Lee, no...." both of you said.

"It's okay. It's okay. Kids....when I was standing over Duck, holding the gun....it was so hard. I'm sorry you two are in that position now. I'd give anything for you two not to be. But one of you just has to point it at me, close your eyes, and be thankful you never have to see me as one of them. You can do it. I know you can." Lee said and both of you look down.

Clem let's out a deep sigh then said. "Okay, Lee....I can do it. I can." You look over at Clem and asked. "You sure?" He nods. "Find Omid and Christa. They're probably lookin' for us right now. Stay on high ground. Don't go too far. You two will find them. They'll take good care of you two." Lee said as you and Clem nod as tears fall down your face.

"And, kiddos.....stay away from cities." He said. "Definitely." You and Clem replied, nodding. "They're just not worth the risk. And also..." Lee started to say but his eyes started to close, almost like he was starting to fall asleep. "What, what is it?" Clem asked and Lee opens his eyes.

"No, don't worry. All right...." He said then he looks at you two and said. "I'll miss you two."

"I'll miss you." Clem cried and you nod and said. "Me too." Then both of you stand up and you hand the gun to Clem. He raises it and aims it at Lee's head. His hands were shaking as he stares at Lee. Tears were falling out of your eyes and Clem's as Clem closes his eyes then fires, shooting Lee in the head.

Eventually, you two made it out of Savannah and were now out in a field. Both of you not saying a word.
Sometime later, you two found a large log and sat on it for a moment, just to rest your legs. You look down and saw some bullet shells when you felt a tap on your shoulder. "(Y/N)." Clem whispered. You look at him and he points off into the distances.

You look and see two figures, hundreds of feet away from you, walking along the hill. You gasped as you saw the figures walking for a few moments until they stopped and they seemed to be looking right at you and Clem.

(Fun little fact about me: this game was my introduction to The Walking Dead. I watched a playthrough of it and fell in love with the game and story. Then I found out about the show and the comics and started watching and reading them and been a fan ever since.)​​​​​​​
