The roads looked deserted as the truck pulls into the small town of Macon. Some windows looked smashed, electrical posts were knocked down and the buildings looked abandoned and the cars were left on the road. The truck stops as it runs out of gas and the five people climb out of the truck. The driver, Kenny, climbs out first and looks around as his wife, Katjaa, and his son, Duck, get out as well.

Then two more people, who he just friended, climbed out. An African American man named Lee and a little curly dark haired boy that he has taken under his wing, Clement. Lee looks around the town shocked at how abandoned his hometown looked in just a short time. Course he didn't know how long he was knocked out when that police officer hit somebody, or something, on the road when he was taking him to jail, which caused the crash.

It still amazes him that it was just yesterday when he shot the cop in the head, after he or it came back alive and tried to eat him, then he ran to a house where he met this little boy all alone. Clement was his name and he was left at home with the babysitter as his parents were in Savannah on alittle vacation.

But suddenly the dead started rising and Clement hid in his treehouse when the babysitter got bit and died.
He stayed hidden for awhile until Lee came upon him and killed his undead babysitter. Lee told the young boy that he would take care of him until they found his parents. Clement was alittle reluctant at this but he knew that he couldn't stay at his house forever, so he and Lee started to make their way out of the neighborhood.

They left when it was still daylight and came up on two people, Chet and Shawn, who took then to Shawn's family farm. There they met Hershel Green, Shawn's father, who helped with Lee's leg injury and let the two sleep in the farm for the night.

Then this morning, Lee and Clement met Kenny and his wife and son. They helped around the farm that is until a group of walkers came upon the fence and attacked Shawn and Duck. Lee tried to help Shawn while Kenny grabs his son and runs away.

The fence broke and the walkers started biting Shawn until Hershel comes out with his gun and shoots the monsters. Shawn told his father that Lee tried to save him before he let out his last breath and dies. Hershel yells at them to get out and never come back and that's when Kenny offers the ride to Macon to Lee and Clement.

"Well, this is as far as we're going." Kenny said to the others. "Then it's far enough." Lee replied as the five walk along the street and come upon a building with the large red neon sign saying Drug Store. Lee looks up at the building in sadness. This store was his parents and he wonders if they and his brother are inside.

"Look!" Duck exclaims as he points off to the right at a figure that was kneeling down. "Hey there! You friendly? Truck's run out of gas." Kenny shouts as he waves his arms in the air, hoping to get the figure's attention.

The figure turns around to reveal itself to be a Walker as it was eating a person. "FUCK!" Kenny exclaimed in fear and the five people started walking backwards as more walkers come out and slowly walks towards the five people. "We're trapped!!" Katjaa shouts just as she hears a scream.

The parents turn around to see a Walker had grabbed Duck as he falls backwards. But before the monster could eat him, it was shot in the head. Duck, covered in Walker blood, scrambles away from the Walker as the others look over and see a woman, with shoulder length brown hair, holding a gun as she fires at the oncoming walkers.

"RUN!!" An Asian man shouts and the five people run towards him as he leads them inside of the drug store. The woman backs up as she fires before she runs as fast as she could towards the building. The man shuts the gate behind the group and locks it with a lock and runs behind the others.

"We can't take risks like this!" Another woman, Lilly, shouts at the woman, Carley, with the gun. "And we can't just let people die, either." Carley shouts at her, angrily. "When I say that door stays shut no matter what I fucking mean it!" Lilly growls. "We don't know who these people are they could be dangerous!"

"Worse! They could've lead them right to us!" And old man, Larry, said.
"Where the hell is your humanity?!" Carley asked Larry, angrily. "They would've died out there!"

"We have kids with us!" Lee said.

"Yeah, so do we..." Larry said. Lee looks over and saw a young (h/c) girl coming up and hugging Carley. Lee looks down at the young girl as Clement grabs his arm. "What is it?" Lee asked the boy. "I...I have to pee." Clem replied. "In a minute." Lee said and Clem looks down then over to the young girl, who gives him a small smile.

"They've got kids, Lilly." The Asian man, Glenn, said to Lilly. "Those things outside don't care." Lilly sneers. "Maybe you should go join 'em, then. You'll have something in common!" Kenny snaps at her.

"Damn it, Lilly! You gotta control these people!" Larry growls. "Carley and Glenn just ran out there!" Lilly argued. "I don't give a flying fuck, we're in a war zone!" Larry shouts.

"She's the leader here." Lee observes as he turns to Kenny. "But it looks like she's losing control of her people."

"If you were in my shoes you'd be th--"

"Holy SHIT!" Larry interrupts Lilly as he looks over to see Katjaa cleaning up the blood off of Duck. "Son of a bitch, one of them is bitten!" He shouts, angrily, and everyone looks over at Duck with fear and worry. 

"He wasn't bitten." Lee said, firmly.

"The hell he wasn't! We have to end this...now..." Larry said and he begins to walk over to Duck but Kenny stands in his way. "Over my dead body." He threatens.

"We'll dig one hole." Larry sneers at Kenny.

"No! I'm cleaning him up! There's no bite! He's fine!" Katjaa shouts as she cleans Duck's face. "Dont you fucking people get it? We've already seen this happen. We let someone with a bite stay and--and we all end up bitten!" Larry shouts 

"Shut up!"

"We gotta throw him out! Or smash his head in!" exclaimed Larry. 

"Kenny! Stop him!" Katjaa exclaims, fearfully.

"Lee, what do we do about this guy?" Kenny asked.

"Dad, it's just a boy." Lilly said to Larry.

"Lilly...I'll handle it." Larry assured her, calmly.

"But your heart, dad. You need to calm down." Lilly said, softly, to her father. "We reason with him." Lee said to Kenny. "With the bloody end of an axe-handle, maybe! Nobody threatens my boy." Kenny replies.

"Everyone CHILL THE FUCK OUT!" Carley shouts as the little girl cowers closer to her.

"Nobody's doing anything!"

"Shut up, Lilly!" Larry shouts at Lilly then he turns to Carley and said. "And you. Shut the fuck up. They will find us and they will get in here, and none of this will fucking matter. But right now we are about to be trapped in here with one of those things!"

"What the hell are you talking about?" Kenny asked.

"He's bitten! That's how you turn!" shouts Larry.

"He's not bitten!" Katjaa assures. "Lee, stop this! It's upsetting him!"

"Oh...I'm upsetting him! Upsetting is getting us eaten alive!" Larry shouts.
"Dad! We get it!" Lilly growls at her elderly father. "Sit down, or that's it!" Lee threatens. "You gonna whoop me? You and what parade?" Larry asks.

"This one!" growls Kenny. "Ha! That's good! Little boy! Before you eat your mommy, you can watch your dad get his nose broken!" chuckled Larry. 
"I'm gonna kill, him, Kat. Just worry about Duck!" Kenny said as he glares at Larry.

"Lee?" Clem calls out. "Yeah?" Lee asks as he sees the small boy at the door of the restroom. "There's someone in there." Clem said. "It's just locked. Key's behind the counter. Probably." Lee replied.

"Hey! I'm not the bad guy here. I'm just looking out for my daughter!" Larry said, pointing at Lilly. "No, you're just the guy arguing for killing a kid!" Kenny yells.

"He's covered in muck! She'll find the bite. WATCH!" 

"She won't!"

"And if she does? The first thing he'll do is sink his teeth into his mom's face. Then when she's dead..." Larry looks over at Lee and said. "...he'll probably pounce on your little boy." Then he turns to Carley and said. "And he'll come after your girl next."

The young girl gasps on fear as she looks up at Carley. "Mommy...I'm scared." She said in a small voice. "It's okay, sweetie. I won't let that happen." Carley assures her. 

"He's a little boy; I think we can handle him." Lee said to Larry. "A little boy? He'll be an uncontrollable man eater!" Larry exclaims. "It's not gonna happen!" Kenny shouts. "It is and we're tossing him out NOW!!" Larry shouts.

"NO! You don't touch that boy, you don't touch anybody!" Lee shouts as he gets into the old man's face. "I've got a little boy I'm trying to protect in here too. You want to get violent you old fuck?! Well, come on! You better have a plan to kill me though, because it's ME before anyone else in here!" 

But before anything could happen, he heard a scream. He looks over to see a Clem backing away from the bathroom door as it opens to reveal a Walker falling out. "CLEMENT!" Lee shouts as he runs towards Clem and the monster. He grabs the Walker off of Clem and pulls him away. "Get away from him you son of a bitch!" Lee shouts as the monster starts to lunge at him.

Suddenly, a loud bang sounds out and the Walker falls over dead, once again. Lee leans forward on his knees as he catches his breath, he looks over to see Carley was the one who fired the bullet in the monster's head. "You okay?" She asked Lee. "Just great, thanks." Lee said as he stands up alittle straighter.

"Uh...guys?" Glenn said with worry as he looks over at the door when they hear a bunch of walkers moaning and growling as they hit the walls from the outside. Clem clutches onto Lee as Lilly said, in a whisper. "Everybody down! Stay quiet!"

Everyone starts hiding behind the shelves and listen. "They're gonna get in!" Larry said. "Shut up!" Kenny growls when they heard gunshots. "Is that the military?" Lee asked. "I don't know." said Lilly. "Thank God for whatever it is." Glenn mutters as the sounds of the walkers started to fade.

"We almost died because of this bitch and her itchy trigger finger! That was stupid! That was--" Larry started to shout when suddenly he clutched his chest and falls on the ground. "DAD!" Lilly shouts as she runs over to him.

"Was he the one bitten?!" Lee asked with concern and worry. "No. Don't be crazy! It's his heart!" Lilly replied.

"My pills..." Larry groans.

"Uh-um...Nitroglycerin pills?" Katjaa asked. "Yes. We're out. We've been trying to get into the pharmacy since we got here! Please, try to get in there! Behind the counter, where the pills are!" Lilly pleads.

"We'll get in there somehow." Lee assures her. "Thank you so much. We need nitroglycerin pills. Please get in there. I'll keep an eye on my dad." said Lilly.

"Everyone else should get comfy and look for anything useful. We could be in here awhile." Kenny said to everyone, calmly. "I'm starting to think this drugstore isn't a permanent solution." Glenn said as he looks around the area. "You're right, this ain't exactly Ft. Knox." Kenny said.

"What do you suggest?" Lee asked Glenn. "We need as much gas as possible so we can all get out of downtown Macon. Fast." Glenn replied. "Agreed." Lee said, nodding.

"Then I'll head out and get gas. There's a motel not too far from here, out towards the end of Peachtree. I'll work my way towards it and then loop back, siphoning what I can." said Glenn. "Damn, that'd be great!" Lee said, impressed. "Well, it's gotta get done. Plus, I'm quick and I know Macon." said Glenn.

"Local?" Lee asked.

"Born and raised." Glenn replied with a smirk. "If you're going to do that, here's a walkie-talkie if you get in a tight spot. Hopefully you won't need it." Lee said as he hands Glenn the walkie-talkie. "Cool." Glenn said as he pockets the device. "Clement's got the other one. Check in with him and get back here as soon as you can." Lee said. 

"And, you, what's your name?" Kenny asked Lilly. "It's Lilly. My dad's Larry." She replied. "Keep a good eye on him. These boys will work on getting you your medicine." Kenny assures her.
"That's right." Lee said as Kenny look over at another man with sandy blonde hair and said. "And you, you keep an eye on that front door. You're our look-out."

"It's Doug, you got it." Doug said as Carley walks up behind him, the little girl not too far behind her. "And I'm Carley. And this is my daughter, (y/n)." She introduced. "Ok, Carley, you'll shift in with Doug when he needs it. For now, get some rest--you're a good shot and I'd like to keep it that way." Kenny said to her. "You got it boss." Carley said, nodding.

"Now get him those pills." Kenny said and everyone began to disperse and do their tasks.
