Double Dating and Engagements
Well...
I apologize for not updating this, lol.
Thank you to everyone who is reading this. It means a lot.
On with the story!!!
"Are you sure he's nice, Travis? I never met the guy before."
"But you've met Mitch and they're related. They're very nice people," Travis promised me, smiling softly before looking over me. He made a sound of approval, putting his thumb up. "You're all set! Now, just letting you know, Scott is a very interesting people. He could be kind of shy, but he will make you feel like he has known you for years. Mitch is the same way and that's why he and I are so close."
I nodded, the name Scott resonating in my head. Why did that name make my legs shake? Why did my heart start beating quicker than normal?
And most importantly...
Why did those beautiful blue eyes appear in my mind?
"Alex, you okay? You're blanking out on me, buddy. Scott and Mitch are probably waiting for us and I promised Scott that I will be there to introduce you guys to each other."
I nodded, looking over myself once more before I followed Travis to the car. He was on the phone, laughing loudly at something that the other person said.
Must be Mitch.
"Of course, baby. I'll be there in no time. Keep an eye on Scott."
I was right.
Travis and Mitch have a very sweet relationship. Mitch didn't have a great relationship in high school and that led him to close people off so he wouldn't get hurt again. That is, until Travis came along.
Travis opened Mitch up like he was an old diary with a lock on it. It took Travis sometime to find the key, but once he found it, Mitch opened himself up and allowed Travis to know everything about him. The pair has been together for a few years and they love each other more as each day goes by.
I hate them for that.
"Alex, we're here. Make me proud and don't say that you hate Mitch and I for having an awesome relationship."
I rolled my eyes playfully and nodded, hopping out of the car to meet the person that will (hopefully) love me forever. As soon as I stepped into the restaurant, Mitch ran over and hugged me as hard as he could with his little arms.
Hey, he might be tiny, but his hugs are the best.
"I missed you so much," Mitch exclaimed, smiling sweetly at me. I nodded, smiling back as I looked around the restaurant for my date. "If you're looking for Scott, he's in the restroom. He's kind of nervous, but he's really happy that Travis set him up with you. Speaking of that twerp, where is he?"
In that moment, Travis ran in and wrapped his arms around Mitch's waist, making the small brunet scream. Mitch laughed as Travis kissed his neck crazily, making the hostess giggle as she looked at me.
"How may I help you?"
"Reservation under Travis Wright, four people," I answered for Travis, trying my best to ignore the sickly sweet couple behind me. I hate love and couples. The hostess looked down at the agenda and smiled, taking out some menus out of a slot as she led us to our table.
"This way," the waitress responded, leading us to our table. Travis and I sat on one side while Mitch sat on the other, giggling as he put his hand on Travis' hand. Travis smiled and picked up Mitch's hand, kissing it tenderly as he smiled at Mitch. Mitch blushed, giggling once more as the couple stared at each other. They're so cute.
I hate cute.
"Hey, guys. I'm back."
That voice sounds familiar.
"Oh, Scott! This is is Alex," Travis replied, gesturing towards me. Scott looked over at me and gasped, not knowing what to say. Why would I look at a guy that might not even like me in a few weeks anyway? "Alex, look at Scott!"
Scott? It can't be the same guy I met at the art muese-
"Alex? Oh gosh. It's you!"
"What do you me-" I stopped myself when I saw those sapphire eyes, my heart skipping a beat as the man smiled at me. He sat down, laughing quietly as he looked over me.
"Small world," Scott chuckled, making Mitch raise an eyebrow. Mitch cleared his throat, making Scott and I look at him and Travis. We both had to hold back our laughs at their reactions.
"Wait...you two know each other?!" Mitch sputtered out, not knowing how to react when we both nodded. Mitch scoffed a bit, smiling as he nodded in response. "Well, it's not a blind date anymore, but I'm happy you two met each other. Y'all are cute together."
Scott laughed while I blushed, making Travis and Mitch laugh too. We got our drinks and right before we did drink, Travis tapped my shoulder and I looked over at him with a nod of my head.
"How did you two meet? I'm interested now."
"The art museum," Scott answered excitedly, bouncing up and down in chair. I laughed quietly, enjoying the adorableness he had. "Going there was the greatest decision I ever made."
I smiled to myself and in no time at all, the date was slowly coming to an end. That is, until Travis stood up. Mitch looked at his boyfriend, raising an eyebrow as his boyfriend made Scott stand up. Mitch got out of the booth, laughing a bit as Travis held his hands.
"What are you doing, Trav? The dessert hasn't even come yet."
"I know," Travis replied, kissing Mitch quickly. Mitch still didn't know what was going, but Scott was smiling and tears were welling up in his eyes as he watched the couple. What was going on? "Mitchell Hoying, you have made my life amazing. You are everything that u had hoped for ever since I was a small child and I am so blessed that I could call you mine."
Mitch finally understood what Travis was getting at, gasping as Travis bent down on one knee. Mitch started to cry, covering his face as Travis put a loving hand on Mitch's hands. Scott sobbed a bit, a big smile on my face while I watched with a stotic face. I'm happy for them, but I don't know how to react.
I want this more than anything.
"I wake up every morning with you next to me, thanking God that you and I are together and I cannot wait until I wake up yo.my husband. So, Mitchell Coby Michael Hoying, will you marry me?" Travis asked, his voice shaking as he took the small velvet box from his pocket. He opened it, showing a beautiful ring with a small diamond in the middle. Mitch sobbed loudly, nodding as he smiled at Travis.
"Yes, yes, yes! A million times yes!"
Travis slipped the ring on Mitch's finger, everyone applauding as the couple kissed. Scott smiled, tears in his eyes as looked at me.
"I can't wait until that happens to me."
"Me too."
Little did I know that I was going to propose to Scott a two years later.
