Black Dots and Blue Eyes

Thank you to everyone who voted! I am very excited for this story and I cannot wait to show you all!

On with the story!

Comment...:3

Scott and I met at the art museum that dropped my painting because it was 'too original' and 'bland'.

Yeah, because choosing a painting with just a black dot in the middle of a plain white canvas is not bland at all while a painting of my mother is.

Give me a break.

Anyway, I carried the painting away from the large crowd, angry tears gathering in my eyes as people stared at me. I have never felt more embarrassed, more humiliated, in my entire life before. I hated it.

So much.

I was about to leave when a man ran into my shoulder, causing me to fall on my butt. The painting flew in a differ met direction, making me slam my hands down in frustration, tears fit rolling down my cheeks as the person stopped to help me up. I refused to look at them, sobbing angrily as I stood up.

"I understand my painting sucks, but you don't have to-"

"Are you okay?"

The soft yet deep voice made my heart skip a beat, making me look up with tears in my eyes. There in front of me stood the tallest person I have ever seen besides myself.

He had translucent eyebrows yet if one were to look carefully, they were perfectly arched. His blond hair was similar to a wave from the ocean, the mixture of blond and brunette the most perfect combination I have ever seen. Does anybody even have that kind of blond? His muscles were made prominent because of the tight shirt he wore, not making me intimidated because I knew he used those arms for love, not violence. The scruff on chin made his baby like face older, making me wonder what he looked like without it. Will he look younger or the same? Either way, he looks youthful and innocent.

Then his eyes...

Holy cow, his eyes.

His eyes were...

Sapphires.

The brightest of any ocean.

Brighter than the sky.

Who has eyes that blue?

"Are you okay? You look sad. Here, let me go get your painting."

I nodded, watching him walk over to the painting. His long and lanky legs made him look awkward, but it made him more interesting.

More captivating.

He is...gorgeous.

Beautiful.

Ethereal.

Nowhere near sexy.

Well, he is sexy, but he was far too precious to have these words thrown at him when his looks were observed.

No one this breathtakingly handsome deserved to hear only the words 'sexy' and 'hot'. He deserved more.

Much more.

"Here you go," he told me, smiling at me sweetly. I nodded, unable to form any words as I took the painting from him. "That painting is beautiful. Who was your muse?"

"My, uh, mo-mom."

HOW ARE HIS EYES SO BLUE?!

"Genetics."

I said that out loud?!

"Yep, you did," he laughed, making my legs wobbly. It sounded childish and innocent, making my heart skip a beat. "Anyway, she'll love it. It's amazing."

"She, uh, died when I was ten. I've been working on this since she died and I finished it this week. I'm twenty seven now."

"Wow," the Adonis murmured, his blue eyes turning into a sad grey color. Please don't be sad! "Well, I'm just letting you know that the people who rejected this painting are idiots. I really don't want to see a painting with just a black dot in the middle of a white canvas. Boring!"

See?! Someone with real artistic taste!

"Anyway, I got to go now. My brother and his boyfriend set up a blind date for me tonight," the male angel informed me sadly, rolling his eyes as he smiled once more. "I might not get a relationship with said person, but it's a worth a shot. See ya."

"See ya."

I was about to leave when I heard the handsome being walk back, his smile wide as he took out his phone.

"What's your name and number? I'll like to talk to you more."

For the first time since I was ten, for seventeen years, I smile a genuine smile. My smile didn't feel forced this time and it's because of this beautiful man in front of me.

"Alex Kirk, 344-5678. You?"

He smiled a big smile, his pearly whites brighter than the stars in the sky. He cleared his throat, his voice becoming 10x deeper.

Holy heck.

"Scott Hoying, 344-9876. I'll text you if the date doesn't work out."

"It's funny because my friend is setting me up for a date too. I'll do the same."

Scott smiled, the crow's feet near his eyes showing his years of laughter and happiness. He walked off, making my legs wobbly as I thought about this beautiful man that I just met.

And want to love now.
