The drive was short and quiet. I couldn't seem to stay still. I kept fidgeting and looking around every few minutes.

"Relax, Bella, We are almost there." Jane promised.

"I know that." I just hate sitting.

"We found you a mansion in the forest." Jane told me.

"Good. How big?"

"It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, a lake, a garden, a kitchen, a huge living room. The list goes on." She explained.

"Good. Does it have a basement? Attic? Dungeon?" I wondered.

"An attic and basement. No dungeon."

"Dammit..." Well, That's one thing I have to let go of here.

"It'll be fine. Don't worry. I'll tell you more when we get there." Jane gave the guard the directions to the house.

Well, as long as I have somewhere to live it's fine. I looked out the window at the world blazing by as we rode past it. I've never been away from the castle, never less, Volterra.

This is a new start for you, Bella. Fresh start. Don't dwell on the past. Focus on the future and what lies there for you.

I was quiet the rest of the hour. I needed time to myself and to try and imagine me taking this ride by myself. Maybe that would do me some good.

After a few hours, we finally arrived at the mansion. It was huge like Jane said. It was painted entirely blood red. I see why it caught Jane's attention. There was a garden that stretched out from the front of the house to the back and all around.

We got out of the car and walked over to the house. As I passed by, I saw the lake on the side of house. It sparked as the sun glared at it.

The inside was as big as the castle. The door lead right to the living room and the stairs. To the left was the kitchen and to the right was one of the bathrooms. I guess the rest of the rooms were upstairs.

The guards stayed outside and Jane and I stayed inside. I sat on the couch and stared at the TV which wasn't on.

"So...what do you think?" Jane wondered.

I looked around once more.

"I think it's fine...It's just going to take a while for me to adjust." I admitted.

"We all understand. Now your things are all unpacked in the house. There's blood in the fridge and some in your room. Your closet is filled. Everything is ready. All that is missing is you." Jane smiled.

I smiled. "Thanks, Jane. I wouldn't have been able to get this done without you and your brother." I hugged her.

"Woah. Ok." She cringed.

I laughed.

"Well, now your going to hate me." Jane suddenly looked guilty.

"Why...?"

"I enrolled you in highschool. To live a normal life as a human." She confessed.

My blood boiled. "You what?!"

"Please don't be upset!" She pleaded .

"Too late for that!" I yelled.

"Look. You need to have something to do while you here. You look like a seventeen year old teen but you aren't going to school or anything. What would the humans think?" Jane clarified.

"They wouldn't think anything. I live my life the way I want to. If anyone questions that, they can just go to hell. Got it?" I fumed.

Jane nodded and stepped back a few feet.

I walked outside to the lake and the garden. I needed to calm down. This is the only way I thought would help. I hoped.

The water glimmered as I walked to it. The sun shined though it and I caught a glimpse of a reflection of something...or someone...

I tensed up and growled. I turned around in hopes to expose and attack the intruder. I pounced on them and we collided onto the ground.

I could tell that the person was a male and he didn't put up much of a fight. He also didn't smell human.

I got off of him and pinned him against the wall of the house by his throat. I glared at him.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I questioned.

"You are fast and feisty. I like it." He ignored my threat.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" I repeated angrily.

"Calm down now. There's no need to get upset. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is James. You must be the Bella, the Volturi Queen." James smiled.

At that moment, my mind went blank.
