Epilogue

" I never noticed anything strange with her...I would never in my wildest dreams think that Jessica was a killer. She was so kind..." Abbie said softly. The police had came and taken everyone down to the police station for questioning and now Abbie was being interrogated about the murders.

" Doctors say it was schizophrenia, bipolar issues and anger problems. There's no way you could have known...she just lost it after her brother died." A police officer explained.

" She killed herself....to stop from hurting us." Abbie whispered putting her face into her hands.

" I understand that this must be hard for you...but I need you identify her body for us...can you do that?" The police officer put a soothing hand on Abbie's shoulder.

" Alright...of course....I'll do it." Abbie reluctantly agreed and stood up with a long sigh.

" You're doing the right thing, Jessica's parents refused to identify the body...saying they knew it wasn't her." The police officer said as she lead Abbie towards the morgue.

Abbie said nothing in reply, fearing that if she even tried to answer, she would loose it and begin crying.

The police officer lead into a cold room where in the middle lay a metal table that had a sheet covering a body.

Abbie's soft whisky colored eyes got a far away look to them as she stared at the table where she knew her friends body lay.

The police offer nodded to the coroner who pulled the sheet back gently to reveal Jessica's unnaturally pale form. She looked as if she was just sleeping but Abbie knew better.

" That's her....that's Jessica." Abbie said, her voice barely above a whisper.

" Thank you Abbie...I'm sure all nine of the families would appreciate that you're being so strong. Now that the murderer has been identified I'm sure they'll sleep a little easier." The police officer smiled, placing a hand on Abbie's shoulder.

" Wait...nine? Jessica only confessed to seven." Abbie said with a confused expression.

" Maybe she was mistaken...because besides Jessica, eight bodies were found." The police officer explained to Abbie.

" May.....may I see the bodies?" Abbie asked, secretly hoping that she was wrong.

" I...I don't know. It might be to gruesome for you..." The police began to say but Abbie cut him off quickly.

" My best friend stabbed herself in front of me. I think I can handle it..." Abbie said flatly.

" Well....alright." The police offer agreed after a moment.

The coroner reluctantly walked over to the drawers pulling out one of the bodies.

Abbie approached the drawer and looked closely before letting out a breath.

" Alana...I knew you'd probably be one of the bodies..." Abbie muttered bitterly.

" Alana Koals? Why? What did she have to do with Jessica?" The police offer asked, pulling out a notebook so she could write down what Abbie said.

" She bullied Jessica for quite a few years...especially after Freddy died." Abbie explained bitterly.

" Oh, so she would...hold a grudge then?" The police officer questioned, writing down everything that was said.

" Jessica wasn't one to hold a grudge...so no." Abbie said seriously.

The police officer said nothing but wrote down Abbie's reply before the coroner closed the drawer and moved down the line, opening the next one.

" That's Alana's boyfriend, Kaleb Hanes." Abbie told the police officer.

" They were found behind the bleachers. We put two and two together." The police officer said with a small smirk but she quickly wiped it away, so she wouldn't be disrespectful.

Abbie didn't reply as the coroner opened the other drawer revealing the girl with the blue hair.

" That's Dana Woodbury, everyone called her Blue...for obvious reasons." Abbie said looking at Blue's sky blue hair.

The police officer simply nodded, taking notes of everything that was said.

Abbie examined the stab mark before the coroner quickly closed the drawer and opened up drawer after drawer until finally they were on the last drawer.

The coroner opened the drawer to reveal a girl with light moca skin and raven hair, her throat was almost completely ripped out and had yet to be sewn up yet.

" This is Bethany Frye....but....this is different from everyone elses wounds." Abbie said with a frown.

The police officer and coroner exchanged glances before the coroner quickly opened up the drawer beside Bethany's, checking the wound before looking back at Bethany's.

" She's right...I never thought to look because the case is closed...but the wounds aren't the same." The coroner said with a shocked expression.

The police officer's eyes widened and she whispered something to the coroner who said softly in return, just quietly enough that Abbie couldn't hear.

" Come on Abbie, lets get you back to your parents. I'm sure they're worried about you." The police officer said, ignoring Abbie's arguments as she lead her out of the room.

The coroner closed Bethany's drawer and picked up a notebook quickly taking notes and reminding herself to check the wounds when she got back tomorrow morning.

The coroner slipped off her lab coat, hanging it onto the rack, grabbing her car keys and flipping off the lights before exiting the room.

Jessica's body still lay on the cold metal table in the middle of the room, her eyes closed while her hands lay on either side of her. The room was virtually silent aside from the occasional car passing by outside.

A gust of wind blew seemingly out of nowhere, blowing the sheet off of her body and onto the floor, revealing the sewed up wound on her stomach. The lights in the room began to flicker on and off and the wind outside picked up. The wounds visible on her body began to heal quickly until nothing but smooth skin was left.

The lights began to hum loudly before shattering into a million pieces as Jessica's eyes shot open, revealing their pitch black color.

End.
