Chapter Five.
The Killer's POV.
" The time is near, the time is here...time for fun to turn to fear." Time whispered in my head making me shiver.
I needed to get out of here, I could already feel May trying to escape. She was ready to enact her plan...but I couldn't let her out...not now....not here. I wouldn't let her kill anyone....not if I could help it.
💀🔪
Abbie let out a soft breath and looked into Brandon's eyes, taking in every detail of their color, shape...everything. She needed to remember...because this could very well be the last time she'd see him.
Abbie leaned in and placed a kiss onto Brandon's lips before pulling away.
" I'll be right back." She called over the loud music.
" Alright." Brandon agreed as Abby walked away, grabbing Ella's arm as she walked towards the bathrooms.
" We're doing it now then?" Ella asked as the two walked.
Abbie said nothing but nodded her head in response.
Ella inhaled sharply and clutched the rosary in her pocket tightly as the two entered the restrooms.
" Who first, then?" Ella asked after the two made sure they were alone.
" Catherine. She seems awfully eager to make us forget about this." Abbie said pulling out a bag which she had hidden under the sinks with the extra toilet paper.
Ella frowned lightly but didn't argue as she watched Abbie pull out a bottle of holy water.
" Whatever happens tonight....Ella...make sure my mother knows I died a hero." Abbie said quietly.
" You're not going to die." Ella snapped while picking up a silver knife.
" Not on my watch." Ella continued as she slipped the knife into a holster which rested on her thigh.
Abbie smiled at her friend before pulling her into a hug.
" Lets bag ourselves a demon." Ella said confidently.
🔪💀
" Why did you need me to go with you to the bathroom, again?" Catherine sighed dramatically as Ella lead her into the bathroom.
" Your mascara is smudged. That's why." Ella said, which wasn't a lie actually. Catherine's thick black mascara was smudged onto her upper eyelid.
Catherine gasped dramatically and ran over to the mirror where she quickly tried to wipe off the excess mascara with no prevail.
" Here I got it." Ella said pulling out the little bottle of holy water and putting it onto a cotton ball where she skillfully wiped off the smudged mascara, waiting for her friend to react.
" That stuff smells like old people." Catherine muttered but didn't flinch.
" I know. But it works." Ella said cheerfully.
" Thanks, Ell. I'll see you out there." Catherine said quickly walking away.
" It's not her." Ella told Abbie as she came out of hiding.
" Then...it's down to Leah and Jessica..." Abbie said softly and bit her lip in thought.
" Both of them have changed a lot in the past few years...although Jessica has a reason...she was never the same after Sarah broke up with her and then...her brothers accident...." Abbie stopped suddenly, noticing Ella's saddened expression.
" Can we not talk about Freddy?" Ella murmured, looking away sadly.
" Right, sorry..." Abbie said quietly and patted Ella's shoulder.
" So we do Jessica first?" Ella suggested, trying desperately to change the subject.
" Yeah...sounds fine. Go get her...but try not to raise suspicion." Abbie said seriously and Ella nodded before exiting the bathroom quickly.
Ella weaved through the crowds occasionally glancing at Liam as she made her way over to Jessica.
" Jessica, Abbie wants you." Ella said casually.
" Why?" Jessica sighed, turning away from Thomas.
" I'll tell you when we get there, come on." Ella smiled reassuringly and Jessica sighed yet again.
" Yeah okay fine...let's go then. I'll be back." Jessica told Thomas while shaking her head.
Ella lead Jessica towards the bathrooms where Abbie stood next to the sinks.
" What's up?" Jessica asked with a soft sigh.
" Jessica...this is holy water...it's supposed to burn any demons that come in contact with it..." Abbie began to explain slowly.
" I've read the books Ella's dad gave us...I know....but what does that have to do with anythi....wait.... you think I'M the demon....Don't you?" Jessica frowned looking hurt.
" We're not ruling it out...we've tested Catherine already so we know she's not the demon...Which means that either you or Leah is the demon." Abby said, not revealing any emotions as she spoke.
" You seriously think I'M the demon?" Jessica asked in a shocked tone.
" The way you're reacting about our suspicions is definitely not helping your case." Abby said flatly.
" How the hell else am I supposed to react when you accuse me of being a murderer?!" Jessica practically yelled which made Ella flinch.
" Jessica, just let us do this. If you're not the demon then it won't bother you..." Ella tried to reason with her friend.
Jessica hesitated a while before sighing softly.
" Fine." She agreed and held out her arm.
Abbie approached her friend slowly, holding the bottle of holy water.
Ella watched as Abbie gingerly tilted the bottle and poured the liquid onto Jessica's arm...
To be continued....
