Emptiness
Scott's P.O.V -
I keep my hand on the cold glass. Shaking, I can feel tears running down my face. Why did this happen? Why...
"Scott! Let go of the glass!"
My hand shoots down, and I turn to face Fwhip. He looks mortified. "Why?"
His whole arm shakes as he points to where I held my hand. "You - you were freezing it."
I swivel around, and sure enough, a thick layer of frost covers the entire area. "What..?"
"Get out of here you-you monster!"
I gaps. "What did I do!?"
His eyes glaze over with a thin sheet of gold. "You're a monster."
"No! I'm not-I swear!"
"Get out."
"NO!"
"Gasp." I rub my head, my eyes feel swollen and sore. Aching. "Just a dream."
I look down at my hands, covered in frost. It was the only way. If I had stayed, I may of hurt him more than he is already. Yeah. I did the right thing. Glancing through the window, the storm still hasn't died. It's still whipping around, and sheets of ice have already covered the entirety of Rivendell. It's been a week since I left. I hope Jimmy's alright.
Every night, it's been the same dream. Well, it's more a nightmare. Fwhip, Gem, Katherine or someone else calls me a monster. It's gotten to my head. Am I a monster? Am I what they say I am? No. They didn't actually say that. My mind is playing tricks on me. Right?
"Ugh." Best not think about it. How about I explore my kingdom a bit more? That could be fun. The cold won't do anything to me, so I suppose the storm isn't an issue.
:-*Later*-:
I trace my hand across the icy cliffs. It does nothing. As expected. They're already frozen.
Suddenly, my palm hits something more jagged. "Huh?"
I rub at the ice, and I can see a small stone button buried in the ice. Grabbing my pick axe, I quickly unburden it of its icy prison. "Hm."
Should I let curiosity get the better of me? It could be dangerous. Or not. Who knows?
Reaching my hand forward, I feel some sort of urge to push it.
