It's hard having two younger siblings that never stop, I agree with you. But having five younger siblings that you have to take care of toes the line. In fact, it doesn't even toe the line. It foots the line.

It had been a long day of chasing, screaming, yelling, throwing, tickling, bribing, and stealing. As usual, my phone had been hacked by my younger brother and sister, which explained at least three quarters of the above actions.

Finally, I got some alone time in my parent's room with the TV. Yes, I left the kids by themselves in their rooms as I lost my temper, but that was their own fault. I was alone, watching clips of Star Wars on YouTube, and I was finally at peace.

Of course, that's when I heard the strangest noise that took my brain a little while to recognize. It wasn't a good crying or the sound of glass shattering, or somebody breaking a bone... it was much more consistent, like a hummingbird with a cold. That was a very rough sketch of what the noise sounded like.

I cautiously ventured over to the window, pulling up the window and peeking my head through. What met my eyes was a large blue thing in the middle of the road.

My body processed what was happening... or indeed, what had just happened... much faster than my brain did. Even before I registered what that was, I had thrown on respectable clothes and was halfway down the stairs. I banged open the door and let out a whoop of joy as I stared into the brown eyes of a man with messy hair and a coat.

"You've got to be joking." I told him half-furious, crossing my arms. "I've got the kids to take care of, y'know."

"She's a time machine." He reminded me. "You can be back in ten minutes."

"You've got to be joking." I repeated as he opened the doors of the blue police box.

"I'm the Doctor." He told me, gesturing inside. "Are you coming, or not?"

With a sigh, I stepped inside of the TARDIS, interested as to what would happen next.
