"it's a spooky month!" I yelled excitedly as I ran down the streets. My best friend pump followed after me. We were wearing our favourite halloween costumes that we wear every year cause its a spooky month!

"where are you dweebs running off to" we stopped in our tracks and looked at each other nervously. It was Rodney and his group of mean bully's.

"what are you doing in your costumes already? It's not Halloween yet it's October 24th" Rodney glared at us.

"Umm it's a spooky month not a spooky day dum dum" I quickly covered my mouth once I realised that I said it out loud.

Rodney looked like he was going to erupt like a volcano "get them boys!"

"run!" I took pumps hand and we ran for our lives. Thankfully we out ran them and we sat down to catch our breath.

"that was awesome!" pump yelled out "skid the way you stood up to mean
old Rodney was amazing!"

"I didn't mean to.. and we ended up running away from them so I don't know if that counts as standing up to them" I muttered.

"that doesn't matter!" pump insisted "you were cool and brave. I'm lucky to be your friend"

I smiled at his words "your wrong pump" I thought to myself "I'm the one who's lucky to have you as a friend"

"oh let's go back to the mansion" pump pointed excitedly to the spooky mansion "maybe we'll see the blue person again"

"ok but we can't stay long. My mom wants me home by eight" I told him.

"ok let's go!" pump cheered as we ran to the spooky mansion.
