Nova's POV

"Have you told Ivar yet?" Jezebel's blue eyes nearly pops out of her sockets as she looks at me while holding my right arm, squeezing it in sheer excitement

"Not yet" I blush, Imagining his happiness and excitement when he finds out that I am pregnant with his child

The child of God, The child of Ivar.

"Go!!! Tell him!!!" Jezebel shoos me away and pushes me towards the thorne room

"I am anxious, so anxious" I mutter but Jezebel ignores my protests and pushes me on

I take a few deep breaths in and with my new found courage and pangs of excitement I enter the throne room to tell Ivar the news that would change our lives

*Nova enters the throne room*

Narrator's POV

Nova enters the throne room excitedly but the mood of the room is dim as Ivar buries his head in his hand. The room is quite as Ivar sits on the throne flanked by Hvitserk and Floki.

No one else is to be seen in the room

"Why is it so quite here?" Nova giggles and walk towards Ivar but her humour has not been returned back to her

"Not Now" Ivar commands Nova as he doesn't look up

"What? Why? I have something to tell you" Nova stops and looks around

"Now is not the time" Floki says calmly

"But, I have something to tell Ivar, in private" Nova says and looks at Ivar, "Ivar?" Nova speaks slowly

"NOT NOW!" Ivar screams as his voices echos in the room, sending a chill down Nova's spine

"Iv..Ivar?" Nova shakes as tears start streaming down her eyes

"We leave now! NOW!" Ivar howls as Hvitserk and Floki look at him in surprise

"Now?" Hvitserk asks

"YES! RIGHT NOW!" Ivar screams as he gets up

"Leave for where?" Nova asks Ivar as he exits the throne room, Nova follows him around like a puppy

"Kattegat" Ivar mutters

"Right now? I haven't finished packing my belongings yet!" Nova says as she pants

"You are not coming" Ivar says in anger

Nova stops and looks at him in bafflement

"What do mean?" Nova ask as Ivar fumes and looks at her

"Lagertha killed my mother. SHE KILLED MY MOTHER NOVA. ASLAUG! MY MOTHER. AND I, NOT EVEN FOR A SECOND WILL WAIT HERE AND WATCH HER DESTROY KATTEGAT. YOU UNDERSTAND? SO GET OUT OF MY WAY" Ivar screeches as he darts his bloodshot eyes into Nova's

"But I have something to tell you" Nova cries as she runs after Ivar

They both run outside as Ivar mounts his horse and viking army gathers to leave France.

"Ivar, Please listen to me" Nova cries but her voice goes unheard in Ivar's ear

"WE ARE HEADING BACK NORTH! I LEAVE QUEEN NOVA THE SOLE RULER OF THE FRENCH THRONE." Ivar commands as the vikings cheer

"I, HVITSERK AND BJORN SHALL RETURN TO KATTEGAT, IMMEDIATELY" Ivar screams

"Ivar... no. Please don't go" Nova begs as she falls to the ground "Please Ivar, listen your child..."

"MOVE!!!" Ivar commands the viking army

*The army cheers*

Ivar and his three brothers gallop out of the french castle towards the port which will take them to Kattegat. Nova being left as the ruler of France and one fourth of the army left back in France.

The vikings return to their motherland

Nova's POV

My heart shatters into million of different pieces as I lay on the ground wheezing

He left

He promised he'll stay

but

He left

I cry and howl as I beat the muddy ground with my fists. I can smell him in the air

This reckless desperation.

The rain heard my screams as the cold water starts pouring but I don't move from the ground all I can hear are the voices at the back of my head saying that 'We told you so'

It is the most visceral feeling I have ever felt, I feel dead

"Nova!!" Jezebel screams as she sits next to me and hugs me

"He left" I say as I feel numb, maybe because of the cold air or the heartless betrayal

"I saw it all honey, I saw it all" Jezebel hugs me and begins crying too. The first time I have ever seen her break down

I still look at the castle gate, hoping he would return. Hoping that he realizes his words and come for me

But something in my heart says that he never will

"He left" I stutter like a maniac

"Nova..." Jezebel says

"He left me. He left me with his child" I cry as I crumble. I can feel everything inside of me breaking

Can a woman break a million times and be exhausted by being broken repeatedly?

"Honey, let's go" Jezebel holds my arm

"No, he'll come back. He cannot leave like that" I howl, "He won't do that to me. He promised" I cry

My soul has been sucked out of my body as I feel it's better to give it all up than to breathe in another day without Ivar

He told me he loved me and that he'll stay

"Nova, he's not coming back" Jezebel speaks softly

"No, no. he promised" My voice cracks "That he will take me to Kattegat"

Jezebel sigh

"IVAR!!! IVARR!!" I cry as I call out his name in sheer pain

"IVARRR! COME BACK!!! IVAR..IVa..." I howl and cry till a point I cannot breathe but all I see and smell is rain

*Two servant girls rush towards Jezebel and Nova*

"Your highness! Your highness!" The servant girls scream in unision

I look up from the ground with my broken soul to look at him

"What's the matter?" I ask with a feeble voice

"It's Medusa! Blood is dripping from her ears and mouth!" The servant says

Me and Jezebel look at each other and get up and run inside the castle

All hell has broken loose upon me.

Not Medusa Lord, My mother.

(I honestly feel so bad for Nova, it's like one of those points in your lives were everything goes wrong at the same time)
