Narrator's POV

"ALL HAIL THE GOD, IVAR" The vikings chant as Ivar steps out in the ground, with his face painted and his hands drenched in human blood

"PEOPLE OF KATTEGAT" Ivar howls, "TO WIN THIS WAR, WE MUST IMPRESS OUR GODS" 

Hvitserk and Ubbe walk beside Ivar as he speaks

"AND TO IMPRESS OUR GODS WE MUST SACRIFICE!!!" Ivar beats his chest

"BRING US THE SACRIFICE" IVAR DEMANDS 

*the drums roll in rhythmic pattern*

(Ivar dressed for the sacrifice)

The heartless body of the bishop and a blonde haired man is brought out on wooden poles.

Blood drips from the empty cavity of the bishop's chest while the man alive wriggles like a worm when he sees the scary Ivar

Their bodies turned upside down and hanged on wooden platform

Ivar laughs, the most evil laughter he has ever given out.

Nova's POV

"Threatening me? A Queen?" I say as I hurriedly fit into my black wedding dress

Ivar's threats has not only the whole castle shaken, but also mildly terrified

His antics has gone way too far to pass as mere play

"This is not time for anger, Nova" Jezebel says as she fixes my dress, "You need calmness in your mind" 

"I cannot believe this..." I mutter as I hurry

(Nova's Wedding Dress)

Trying to get married before Ivar reaches us and rips out lungs out...

"I will show him what brutality really is" I say as my fingers shake

"Nova you want to be angry?" Jezebel asks 

"Yes, this drama in my life has made me miserable Jezebel, one wrong mistake, one wrong love and an error of my judgment has left me in pieces" I say

Jezebel stands up and looks deep into my eyes

"Then do not back down

Then do not rest till you accomplish what your heart desires

Then do not fear him or anyone else

Then do not let humans and their minds shake you

Fight, not only with your sword but also your mind! " Jezebel touches my temples

"Use your anger wisely, or your anger will use you" She says

She turns my face as we both look into the mirror

"Then be a Queen that the world fears, because she is begging you to come out from within you and into the world. That she knows is hers to take" Jezebel rubs my shoulder as I nod

And I remember immediately of my childhood. 

The young Nova

Young Nova's POV 

"Daddy?" I ask

"Yes darling" My father keeps his crown on the table and walks majestically towards me

"What am I supposed to be when I grow up?" I say as I play with my tea set

"Hmmm" he thinks as I toss around my teacups

"What if I want to be a queen?" I ask

"Then you sure shall be" My father sits next to me and smiles

"What if I want to marry a prince?" I ask

"Then you shall marry a prince" He runs his heavy hand over my head

"What if I want to be a seamstress?" I ask

"Then you shall be a seamstress" My father laughs

"Daddy! You are not giving me any answer!" I cross my arms as I make a face

"Listen, child" He says, "You can be everything you want to be, as long as it is what you decide for yourself." He says

I give him a blank expression

"Listen Nova, throughout your life you will have people telling you what you should be, how you should rule and why you should do something. And if someday you do become a Queen, you will have many people lie, manipulate, trick and deceive you" 

"Then what should I do daddy?" I ask my father

"You should learn to make decisions and act on them because Indecision in itself is a decision" My father says as he kisses my forehead

"So when that day comes, decide who you want to be, what you want to do and how you want to do it. You are just a decision away from completely different life" My father says

As his words get engraved in my heart

"And know that no matter how many mistakes you make, wrong turns you take and sleepless nights you have. I will always be right there by your side" He says as he smiles

"Right where I belong, not on the throne. But by your side, all through your life" He says

Ivar's POV

I drench my hands in the blood as I smear it on my forehead

"THE ALLFATHER" I say as I look up in the sky, "WE ARE GOING ON THE WAR OF OUR LIVES, PROTECT US WHILE WE AVENGE THE DEATHS OF RAGNAR LOTHBROK AND QUEEN ASLAUG" I say

"I SACRIFICE THEM IN THE NAME OF ODIN AND ALL THE FELLOW GODS" I bellow like a beast

The wrath, revenge and madness taking over my body and soul

My mind brimming of ideas of killing Lagertha, Bjorn and that fragile king Alfred

And Nova... Ahhh Nova

Even the blood tastes sweet when I think of her.

Nova's POV

"Your Majesty, are you ready?" Kitty asks as her head pops in

"Yes" I say as I take a deep breath in the mirror

Knowing what I am about to do next will change the course of my life.

I will awaken many demons In me

around me....
