Nova's POV

"Wake up Nova, it's morning!" Jezebel says as she opens the curtain

"No, I wish to sleep more" I say as I speak with my eyes close, trying to escape my reality a little more

"Nova, for Christ sake!" Jezebel exclaims and sits on my bed

"I don't feel well, leave me alone" I say irritatedly

"No I won't, you are my sister! And I cannot watch you suffer like this, recoiling in your bed. Get up and be sensible" Jezebel says

"What did she have that I didn't have?" I say as I turn towards her

"Nova.." Jezebel says with concern in her eyes

"I did everything humanly possible to love him, to never let him down for him to let me down" I sob

"Nova honey.." Jezebel says but I interrupt 

"I wish to rest" I say

"Alright" Jezebel rises up and begins to leave

"Draw the curtains" I say

She stops, sighs, does as I said and leaves my chamber.

"It's evening Nova" Eric says 

I open my eyes and look at him, only to cover my eyes back with a pillow

"He's a fool, to have lost you. Trust me" Eric says 

"Eric, not right now" I groan

"I brought you dinner" he says

"I don't feel hungry" I say as I try to sleep

"You haven't eaten anything since morning, please eat something" Eric begs

"Keep the tray and I shall eat when you leave" I say

Eric keeps the tray and leaves

I get up a little and eat a piece of bread only to spit it out and throw away the tray of food on the floor, while crashing back into the bed.

It's is all dark in my world and my soul, alike.

"Uh?" I say as I get up a little to see her face

"You slept all day.. again." Kitty squeezes out a smile

"Leave me alone" I mutter as I close my eyes again

She sighs and leaves..

"I can't watch you like this" Alfred whispers

(Alfred)

"King Alfred?" I ask as I rub my eyes a get up a little

He sits by my side as he leans a little towards me..

"You have been sick since two days.. You haven't eaten anything" Alfred says

"I don't feel like ever waking up" I say while being teary eyed

"Nova, I understand that it was a big blow. But you are a lot bigger than what happened to you" Alfred says as I look him in the eyes

"You are way stronger than this and you have responsibilities, not only as a Queen but as a Mother" He says

"I just... I can't" I stutter

"You can, but first you need some strength that I know you have in you" Alfred calls out a servant and the servant brings a bowl of hot soup

Alfred takes off his robe and his crown gently, wearing his black trousers and white shirt. He holds the tray and sits on the bed, he takes a spoonful of soup and blows it over to make it a little cooler

As my brown eyes watch him in awe

"Now, open your mouth" Alfred says as he feed me the soup. Little by little.

"Thank you" I say as he keeps the empty bowl on a tray and rubs his hands

He handsomely smiles..

"Now France needs it's Queen and Alfie needs his mother" He winks

As I smile, I realize that it's the first time I have smiled since my heart was broken

"And I need you" I say 

Alfred expression turns from excitement to shock and then back to excitement

"Come here" I say as I pat the empty space on the bedside

Alfred looks around the room as if he is committing a crime

"Oh. I won't harass you" I laugh

"Oh you scare me Nova" Alfred says as he jump by my side

I keep my head on his chest as he strokes my hair gently, the first man I have ever touched since Ivar Ragnarsson

"I despise, seeing you like this" Alfred says with his strong english accent

"What can I do to make it better?" He asks sweetly

I think to myself as I hold him a little tighter, something about him makes me feel safe

It feels as if he could fight my demons away ...

And nothing can harm me if he is by my side...

I look at his red supple lips and ask

"Kiss me....?" 

He puts his icy lips on my warm ones as our worlds dissolve into each other.
