Nova's POV

"Bring me Alfie! Right Now!" I command kitty, as she rushes inside

"It's too dangerous!" Alfred screams

"He will burn everyone and everything Alfred, you don't know him" I say as I look at him

"No Nova, I cannot let this happen" Jezebel panics, "Alfred go with her"

"HE WILL KILL ALFRED!" I yell with my bloodshot eyes

"Your Majesty, Alfie" Kitty brings Alfie as I hold him in my arms

"Bring me my horse" I command and the guards bring Ella to me

"You are risking your life, you are falling into his trap!" Jezebel says as her voice cracks

"He will not harm me, trust me. I will come back to you" I assure Alfred

"Promise?" He asks with short breath as his eyes beg me to stay

"I promise" I assure as he presses his lips on mine, tasting like wine

Alfie and I ride towards the west of the castle, where the vikings have camped.

It starts pouring as I cover little Alfie with my cloak

'Momie are wie going to see dadie?" Alfie screams as Ella gallops

"Yes baby" I reply as the rain hampers my vision 

But not my resolution to see him.

"Keep your head in the cloak" I say to Alfie as he follows my words

Finally we arrive at the camp, the vikings become alerted but they don't raise their arms at me

"Nova?" Torvi smiles and run towards me as I dismount my horse with Alfie in my arms

"Where is Ivar?" I ask as Torvi closely analyses Alfie

"Come with me" Torvi mutters as she walks me towards a makeshift wooden room from which I can hear men laughing out loud

My veins shake as I let out a breath and follow Torvi to enter the room

As I enter, the room falls silent

I see Ivar sitting on the throne and his eyes looking at me. He gives out a wicked smile, while Hvitserk is sits on the floor by the side of Ivar

"Ah! Look who is here" Ivar mocks

"Dadie!" Alfie runs and jumps on Ivar

Ivar kisses and smothers him and make him sit on his lap

"Ain't he like me?" Ivar asks Hvitserk as Hvitserk smiles and nods

"Can I talk to you in private, Alfie can stay" I say 

As Ivar look at his men and gestures them to leave, Hvitserk and Torvi leave too

"Dadie I mished you" Alfie hugs and caresses Ivar

"Honey can I talk to your mommy alone?" Ivar pinches Alfie's nose as they both giggle

"Torvi!" Ivar screams as Torvi enters, "Make Alfie comfortable, I will be with him in a while" Ivar gives Alfie to Torvi as she leaves with him

I calm my heart by saying that they will not harm Alfie but I still worry

"Don't worry and Follow me" Ivar says as he guides me to a dingy room, lit by a few candles

He sits and look at me while he pours his drink...

"Why are you here?" Ivar asks blantly

"You set people and churches on fire!" I say as my pulse rise

"Who me?" Ivar says says animatedly

"How could you say it was me, Queen Nova?" Ivar leans closer to me

"Ivar, don't play me" I say, "It was you, you violated the rules of a war" I say

"There are no rules for Ivar" Ivar dismisses my claim

"Your war is with Alfred and I" I say as I look at him, "Those innocent people did nothing wrong" I raise my voice

"You are naive Nova, go home" Ivar scoffs

"You attacking my faith or my people is absurd" I claim as I move closer to him 

He stands up and bellows like a beast

"I WILL DO WHATEVER I PLEASE. GO HOME TO THAT THIN SICK MAN OF YOURS!" Ivar screams

"Ivar, you are at war with me" I say as I rise up too, while my knees tremble

"I am not a war with you, I am at war with what you have done to me" Ivar says as he looks at me

"I wasn't weak before, I had no weakness at all in my blood and then you came so flawlessly in my life" Ivar's lips shake

"My child..you.. took away my child!" Ivar smashes his glass on the walls

As I shake in fear

"For 5 years you didn't come for me" I say as I cry, "Five painful years!" 

"I LEFT BECAUSE I COULDN'T BEAR TO BE WITH YOU! I WAS OBSESSED WITH YOU, I WAS LOSING MY MIND OVER YOU. IN DAYTIME I WATCHED YOU RUN AROUND IN THE CASTLE LIKE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CREATURE I HAVE EVER SEEN AND AT NIGHT I WATCHED YOU SLEEP. YOUR LOVE WAS MY POISON, I WAS DROWNING IN IT" Ivar pulls his hair and his face becomes red

"Please calm down" I say as I walk towards him

"You are a healer and I am a devil, Nova" Ivar shakes, "I don't deserve you" he says

"Don't say that Ivar, please" I cry

"After.. After Lagertha killed my Mother, my only love beside you" Ivar's eyes become teary, "We went to a war that lasted for 4 years, I couldn't abandon Kattegat. My heart yearned to come back to you" Ivar says as he falls to the ground and kneels in front of me

"You were my only love that survived and I was scared to lose you too. I had nightmares of coming and touching you and then losing you!" Ivar says, "I sent people to keep an eye on you, to tell me all about you, EVERY WEEK. But we never figured out that you had a child! That too mine!"

"Ivar please" I choke on my tears

"I tried to make it alright with you" Ivar says as he looks at me "But you won't let me in your heart again"

How little does he know that he never really left my heart ever

"And then I got mad, so mad" Ivar's expression changes

"I want to kill everyone and everything. I would lay in your arms and bleed to death, but I want to be in your arms. I want to die in your arms" Ivar says as he rises up and walks like a mad puppy back and forth

"It's maddening, It's crazy" He says as he paces around as my eyes find it hard to keep up with him 

"What happens to me, I only feel in love with you or numb to the world" Ivar says as he pulls his hair

"I am losing my mind, I am losing my senses. ARGGH" He sits on the chair and stare at the ground like a mad man

It takes me a minute to fathom what all he said, I stand there like a figure of clay till I get my senses back 

I walk and sit by his side, as his body shakes

I keep my hand on his shoulder and rub it gently, I could feel his breathing slowing down

He immediately takes out a knife and places it in my hand 

"Kill me Nova, just kill me" He says as he holds my hands and gestures me to pierce his neck with the knife

My hands shake and my body tremble

I throw the knife onto the ground

He looks at me like a baffled love sick puppy

I take his face in my hand 

And I kiss him with maddening passion.
