Suffocating,

Zhan felt extremely suffocating as he felt his throat begin squeezed by the man, with a wicked smile on his face.

 "What a strong power this child has, what a gem," The man said, "No wonder this child is a future necromancer." 

Zhan struggled against the hold and moved his body but nothing happened the man had an iron grip on his neck. 

"Zion...Please just leave him please" Lilith Zhan's mother, said with a shivering voice.

Zion glanced at the woman with a wicked smile, "Killing you was never my intention, but you interfered with my goal, I had a soft spot for you but you bought it upon yourself."

The woman named Lilith cried while the other two Victor and Eleanor just stared at everything happening like dolls.

The man glanced at Zhan one more time and sighed, "I never wanted to become like this...but alas I have no choice I am just trying to survive."

The man said and squeezed Zhan's throat tighter, Zhan's body tried to struggle but it was of  no use his eyes rolled back as he felt life leaving his body but before his soul could leave his body, 

His mother Lilith closed her eyes and gathered her energy in the palm of her hand before hitting Zhan with it

Zion threw the child on the ground and saw ut being engulfed by the black clouds, the child screamed and yelled before becoming silent.

"What have you done? you killed your own child?" Zion asked as he glared at the woman.

Lilith looked at Zion, but her gaze was not filled with hate or anger she looked at him casually, she was not angry with Zion she can never be angry with him.

As a grim reaper, she was there when Zion was cursed, she has witnessed his sufferings and his pain, and the reason why he is here and she knows all he is doing is trying to survive that's it.

That's why she didn't interfere with him even after knowing that he was summoned again she let him be cruel and do whatever he wanted but now when it came to her child she had to take action.

"I am sorry Zion," She said, "I know what you wanted to do but I can't let my child suffer the same fate as you, I would rather have him dead than letting you destroy him."

She said, Zion, clenched his fist and glared at the woman he didn't want to kill her not her at least, but she chose to die, "Die bitch." was all he said before he walked out.

The woman collapsed on the ground, after she married a human she had to give up her powers because of which her body had become weak and frail and after giving birth to Zhan and Kexing two strong necromancers, filled with dark powers who her body had become extremely weak. 

And in this state, she summoned her powers forcefully, which made her feel immense pain but she couldn't let her child die, so she didn't feel any remorse.

She collapsed on the ground and saw Eleanor and Victor walking towards the child, she couldn't do anything anymore because her time was up, so she just said one name before closing her eyes forever.

"Y..anli" 

Victor sat down in front of the child and checked his breathing, "He is alive."

Eleanor looked at Victor without any shine in her eyes, "Master had ordered us to kill the necromancers...so we should kill him as well."

"Right if we do this" Victor said, "Master will bring our child back." 

The young couple who had lost their child just months after he was born were desperate to bring their little treasure back, even if they have to kill, they were ready to do that.

Victor grabbed the knife and bought it at the top of Zhan's heart but before he could stab him a crimson light appeared in from of him and threw him back.

A woman dressed in black stepped forwards with a scythe in her hand.

The couple looked at her but couldn't feel an ounce of fear. While the woman glanced at Lilith with pity, she tightened her held in her scythe once she saw Lilith's dead body.

She then glanced at the child who was surrounded by the black fog, she raised her hand and gathered the black fog in her hands, "Was it worth it?"

"..."

"Sacrificing your powers just so you can live with a mortal was it really worth, it?" she asked in a firm voice."

The black shadow took the form of Lilith, she was very faint, and one could see through her body, "Sister...please...save those three children..." she said

Yanli clenched her Jaw before snapping her fingers and the soul of Lilith disappeared next she sat down in front of Zhan who had absorbed his mother's powers.

"What the hell was she thinking?" Yanli said as she placed a hand on Zhan's forehead, "Hitting a child with the divine powers of a grim reaper, had this been a normal child he would have been dead by now."

Zhan's eyes moisten as he gently raised his shivering hand and touched Yanli's hand, "mom..."

Yanli froze for a moment, "Mo..m it hurts so much,"

Yanli looked at the child for a few minutes before sighing, she stood up and went to Eleanor and Victor who looked at her like dolls.

Yanli placed her hand on their foreheads before removing them, Victor and Eleanor both suddenly stumbled backward and collapsed on the floor,

It seemed as if they had woken up from a dream before the reality of their cruelty dawned upon them. The two looked shocked as hell as well as remorseful.

"You two were brainwashed by Zion" Yanli spoke, "I have undone his magic so you two will not be controlled by him anymore, and if you guys truly feel guilty then..." Yanli said and picked up Zhan in her arms before sitting in front of The couple

"Accept this child as your, this child needs parents and you need child, so...take him...consider him a blessing from the heaven."

Victor took the child with a shaking hand in his arms before.

"But, This child will hate us and never accept us," Eleanor said

"For now Seal his powers and memories the power this child has is too much for him to handle without the guidance of his parents, a young mind can easily go corrupt.

Especially with so much dark power, it won't be long before he gets consumed by darkness so use all your magic and put a seal on him.

And if in the future he recovers his memories and hates you then consider that as karma," then she stood up, "Now where is the other one?"

Zhan's eyes suddenly opened, his long dream had ended.

He placed a hand on his forehead and felt and that the side of the bed was empty Yibo was not there.

Zhan sat up on the bed and looked around for Yibo only to see him sitting on the floor meditating.

Zhan quietly got up from the bed and got fresh before heading out quietly, making sure not to disturb Yibo.

Zhan quietly got out of the house and went to get some milk before and while coming back to he encountered Yanli, walking calmly and smiling at him.

"Hello, Zhan." She said with a gentle sweet voice.

Zhan also smiled at her, now he understands why around Yanli he felt so comfortable and peaceful because she was his mother's sister, and that made her his aunt, her presence was always calming for Zhan.

"Good morning Shije," he said.

Yanli gave him her dimple eyes, "Beginning some milk huh?"

"Yeah, I wanted to make some coffee"

"Hmmm, would you like to go for a walk?"

"Yeah sure"

"So how has it been since you regained your powers?" She asked 

"Nice, It feels good not to be in shadows anymore."

"Hmm... is Yibo and Kexing?"

"They are fine as well," Zhan said, "Kexing is good and we are slowly catching up, I mean our relationship is slowly getting better whereas with Yibo I am slowly taking things forward."

"That's nice to hear," Yanli said.

"By the way," Zhan said, "Thanks for looking after Kexing and Yibo"

Yanli looked at Zhan who continued, "Kexing had told me about this mysterious person dressed in black who would appear in his dreams many times giving him medicines and food and also some books,

Kexing told me there were many times that his powers went berserk but fortunately he survived, and also thank you for taking Yibo under your wing."

Yanli smiled brightly, "No need for that, I am a grim reaper, I am a personification of death and I have been like this for thousands of years, 

I cannot interfere with humans a lot and I have a job as well, I can't take away anyone's suffering, I am not an angel, and neither I can stop someone from dying I made an exception for you though.

I helped Yibo and Kexing to survive, but they are real fighters if they both didn't have willpower then I wouldn't have been able to do anything as well."

Zha nodded completely understanding her point of view, "So are you married?"

"Nope, I love my job way too much than to let it go ever, I am not an idiot like your mother"

"What are you doing here?"

"I have worked for thousands of years without a break so I am on a vacation."

"So where are the sould of my parents and Yibo's parents?" Zhan asked 

Well your father and Yibos' parents have already entered the cycle of reincarnation whereas Your mother's soul is a little broken and needs repair but don't worry she will be okay"

Zha nodded, "So if you are thousands of years old then did you know Zion?"

Yanli's steps suddenly slowed down, and her smile dimmed, "Yes, me and your mother we both knew him, after all, he had once summoned us, by accident."

It was silent for a while Before Yanli spoke against, "It might sound bad to you but, I actually pity Zion and so did your mother, if have seen him from being an innocent child to a cursed pitiful sould and now a demon, but in all honesty, he is just trying to survive."

Zhan took a deep breath and tried his best to understand Zion but he couldn't perhaps because he hasn't witnessed Zion's nice side unlike Yanli and his mother.

"Why in the world do you pity him huh?"

Yanli stopped and glanced at Zhan before raising her hand and touching Zhan's neck bringing out the necklace he was wearing, 

"She can answer your question better than me, and instead of Zion I hate her."
