59. Ghosts

a lil shorter just cuz the last couple chapters have been long and ruff

"Now, lay back on the bed, and let your legs hang off the edge," Aegon instructed.

Helaena rose a brow at him but did as he said, letting her bare legs hang off the edge and exposing her bare cunt. "What now?"

"Now you just relax," He smirked, hooking her legs over his shoulders. "Everything you are about to feel is only natural, so just try and enjoy it."

"Okay," Helaena whispered and closed her eyes. Aegon brushed his nose against her clit and she let out a tiny gasp. He licked up the seam of her cunt and her moans sent all his blood straight to his cock.

"Aegon," She whimpered as he wrapped his lips around her clit and lightly sucked. She was so slick at this point that Aegon could tell it would not take much. He had never even seen her moan during sex with him, so he knew this would have to be her first orgasm.

He easily entered a finger into her slick cunt, curling his finger to hit her pleasure point. "How is that, sweet wife?" He smirked.

"Oh, yes, I like that," She moaned, writhing under him. He watched her breasts as she squirmed, never taking the time to appreciate them before. After having three children, they had grown since the first time they had bedded one another. Her perk nipples were nothing to dream of.

"Aegon, I feel funny," She whined, trying to move away from him.

"Like you are about to explode?" He asked, wiping some of her wetness off his chin.

She nodded. "Yes."

"Then you are about to come. Let it happen." He went back to her pussy, sucking with more pressure and adding a second finger and curling them. He felt her legs clench and her toes curled. She reached down and yanked on his hair as her sounds of ecstasy made him come in his breeches as she reached her orgasm.

"Fuck," He groaned.

Helaena was panting, staring at the ceiling. "I wasn't even in this world."

He let out a laugh and stood up, pulling his breeches down to fuck her properly. "You should know that eating a woman out has never made me come."

"Aegon, I need your help - Ah!" Aemond groaned and covered his eyes.

"What the fuck, Man?!" Aegon yelled, pulling his pants up and covering up Helaena with a sheet.

"How the fuck was I supposed to know?! You never fuck her and the door was unbarred!"

Aegon groaned and leaned down to kiss Helaena before reaching for his tunic. "We are not finished."

Aegon left the room and met his brother in the hallway who looked green in the face. "I am going to throw up."

"Jealous?" Aegon smirked.

"The last thing I want is to fuck our sister. And if you mean my wife, that is the last thing on my mind."

Aegon frowned. I thought you said she was talking yesterday?"

"Yeah, but I fucked it up by making her talk more."

No matter how many times Aemond tried to get her out of bed, she could not move. She was in pain. She was talking more, and she loved to listen to her husband. He would talk about his day, but when he mentioned Maegor, she started to feel sick to her stomach.

She hated herself for neglecting her son, but she saw his face that night too. She saw the face of the son that she failed. He cried for her, and she was helpless.

"Maybe I was never meant to be a mother," She mumbled. She was laying her head on Aemond's bare chest as he silently read.

"That is nonsense, Visenya. I know that it was awful, but find peace in the fact that her five years alive were filled with love. She knew ..." He paused, choking on his words. "She knew we loved her more than anything. She knew her mother and father would always love her."

"I am going to kill them," She whispered. "I will burn my mother to ashes, I will rip Daemon's larynx right from his throat."

"How about no riding until you have this baby."

"I don't want this baby, Aemond. I have had more dead children than alive ones. And I can't even look at my alive one because he is identical to the dead one."

"Visenya, he misses you."

"I failed him."

Aemond set his book down and rubbed her back. "What happened?"

"Aemond, I can't -"

"If you talk about it, it might help. You don't have to go into detail."

She closed her eyes and sucked in a deep breath. "I was taking my nap and I woke up and the sun was setting. I felt bad for leaving them alone all day so I ran to Helaena's room. I did not think about having a guard with me. I was in the room before I noticed ... them. They hit the back of my head, and I was tied up. I watched them put a knife to our children's neck! I watched the whole fucking thing, Aemond!"

He cradled her head against his chest as she wailed once again, screaming for her daughter. Her little girl.

The next day, Aemond tried again. "There's a small council meeting tonight. We really need you, Visenya."

"No."

She was cursed, she truly believed it. She was cursed as a mother and as a queen.

"Daemon has claimed Harrenhal, Visenya. Qoren Martell refuses to join the war, and your amazing friend Dalton Greyjoy has claimed for Rhaenyra."

She sent him a glare. "You and I both know we hate him."

"He could have been an ally had I not humiliated him at our wedding."

"I love it when you are jealous," She said softly.  "Who has claimed for us?"

"House Lannister and their bannermen, Hightower, if you can believe it. Peake, Redwyne, Crakehall, the Stormlands, and I have more scrolls to go through. We have large armies, but Rhaenyra won the North and Riverlands. Not to mention, she has the Velaryon fleet. Some houses were swayed after Blood and Cheese was made public. House Celtigar, Frey, and Tarly swore to us after that. They do not want to support a child killer."

She winced at his words. "We have more dragons and larger ones."

"We do. But we cannot win with just dragons."

"You should wear the crown, Aemond. It should be yours."

He scoffed. "It looks better on you anyway."

He placed his hand on her belly and gently rubbed until the baby kicked for the first time since Laenora. Visenya had begun to wonder if the baby was still alive.

"There you are," Aemond whispered. "You haven't eaten since yesterday, Visenya."

"I don't give a fuck."

She turned on her side and faced away from him, closing him out. The baby kicking was reminding her of Laeny. She was so excited to be a big sister, she was obsessed with Visenya's bump. She'd lay next to it, she'd talk to it ...

Visenya silently cried herself to sleep, slipping into a nightmare. Every night, it was always a nightmare.

This time, she was the one cutting off Laenora's head.

Aemond struggled to sleep himself, but when Visenya started screaming, he was awake within a second and waking her up. It happened nightly, and usually couldn't go back to sleep after. Not that he minded, Visenya needed someone. And he vowed to always be her someone.

So then that day was just more desolation.

"So why are you here then?" Aegon asked.

"Because I am lost. I want my wife back, and I have no one to talk to. I want to see her smile. It's when we first married, she never laughed or smiled, not unless you were being stupid or she had Helaena."

"So you want us to visit her?"

"I don't know if that is a good idea. But then it was because of her abuse. How is it every time I watch the love of my life suffer, it is by Daemon's hand?"

Aegon crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. "What is the only other thing she loves as much as you? A piece of her soul that makes her feel complete?"

Aemond's eye widened. "Grey Ghost."

"Even if you have to drag her out of that bed, you take her to the shore and you make her stay. She's been in a room with drawn curtains for over a fortnight, she needs some sun. That girl has always been pale."

"And if she hates me for making her?" Aemond asked.

"She won't. She needs her dragon, their bond is one to make our ancestors proud. They cannot exist without the other."

Aemond nodded. "You are right."

Aegon snorted. "I don't hear that often."

"Speaking of, what in the seven hells was going on in there?"

"I was giving my wife an orgasm. Would you like me to teach you how?"

"My wife has always been quite pleased with how I please her. But since when did you like her?"

Aegon started to shift uncomfortably. "Seeing ... it just really disturbed me. It made me do a lot of thinking. I have taken Helaena for granted, and if she were to die in this war, I would regret a lot of things. Being a bad husband and father being one of them."

"At least something good came out of it," Aemond mumbled.

"No, nothing good came of that. Not a fucking thing. No one has asked about you. You could, erm, talk to me?"

Aemond looked down at her boots and shrugged. "I miss her. I miss her more than anything. So much that my chest hurts. I wish I could drink myself to death just to feel a bit better but nothing will bring her back. She was my little girl, she was one of the best things that came from me. I haven't done much good in my life, but she was it. She and Maegor, a son that is alone because his mother and father can not get their shit together."

"I suppose we don't know how to deal with this considering the shit parents we got."

"Hm," Aemond nodded. Once the tears started to well in his eyes, he clenched his fists and walked away. Aegon was not offended, he knew his brother didn't talk about his feelings and he wasn't expecting Aemond to be all mushy.

So he'd be there to listen and watch him leave whenever he needed.

-

Visenya cried and kicked Aemond as he lifted her out of bed. She almost fell out of his arms once but his grip on her was stronger than she.

"LET ME GO, AEMOND!"

"No, you are going outside. You don't have to do anything, you can just sit for all I care. But you need the sun, and you need to breathe fresh air."

He walked outside, Ser Arryk trailing them. Detail on her and Maegor was much stricter by Aemond's command.

"And you need Grey Ghost," He finally said as Visenya realized where he was taking her. Grey Ghost was lying on the shore, lifting his head when he saw his rider. The large dragon did not move as Aemond set her in the sand, and Aemond walked backward away from them. "I will be here when you are ready."

Visenya looked up as Grey Ghose laid his head against her body and she leaned into him. The sun was bright and blinding, but she did not feel the heat. It was strange how she was Unburnt and yet she could get sunburns.

"Iksin nyke doomed, nudho tolīmorghon?"
*Am I doomed, Grey Ghost?

The dragon let out a huff, offering comfort in the form of nuzzling her.

They sat in silence as she let out another sob. Couldn't a person run out of tears? Visenya was tired of crying. She was tired of having sore and puffy eyes. She was tired of being tired. But she was tired of having one less child.

Aemond and Arryk watched her most of the morning as she sat in silence with her dragon, part of her soul starting to stitch itself back together. But nothing could heal the pain in her heart. She had lost too much. Maybe she had doomed Laenora by naming her after her dead father. Laenor and Laenora. The deaths had left her with crippling depression and grief.

Visenya looked back at Aemond. "I want to go back to bed."

"Of course," Aemond nodded and picked her back up. Grey Ghost let out a soft cry as Visenya was carried away. She reached her arm out to wave as her dragon, making a promise to come back.

But not for a while.

Visenya had probably memorized that wall inch for inch. And the ceiling. She was thinking about how long it had been since that ceiling had been constructed, and then she was thinking about the original Maegor and Visenya. Visenya would be disappointed in her. Visenya the First was a warrior, she didn't lie in her own urine.

She was already such a shit queen. She was nothing more than another emotional woman. She was just a -

A deafening screeching sound halted her every breath. It was a dragon in distress, and it was close to the keep. Aemond looked up from the settee as the dragon roared again.

Visenya shot up. She knew that dragon's call.

She was on her feet in seconds, her legs weak under her. "Whoa, what are you doing?" Aemond asked in bewilderment. She had not been up without forcing her in over two weeks.

Visenya weakly made her way out the door and Aemond was behind her, pulling her arm over his shoulder to help her walk. "I know that dragon."

"Mind sharing?" He huffed.

She ignored him, making her way out to the courtyard as large silver wings blew her hair back from the force of landing. The dust around them was thick and she couldn't make out -

Visenya screamed. She saw the dragon. She saw the rider. She saw a ghost.

Laenor.
