Ch.8 Alioth

~Y/n pov~

"You bastard!" Classic Loki spat, "You led the wolves right to our door."

"We prefer snakes to wolves." President Loki commented.

"I've eaten both." Kid Loki walked forward, "They die just the same."

"Apologies, my liege." Boastful Loki placed his hammer at Kid Loki's neck, "I betrayed you, and now, I'm King."

I felt my body get tense. I was ready to knock him down anytime.

"About that..." President Loki started.

All his men pointed their weapons at us.

"You can't be serious." Boastful Loki replied.

"Come on. What did you expect?"

"That was not the bargain! I gave you our location in exchange for shelter and supplies, you give me your army and I take the throne."

This is unbelievable. It's a continuous cycle of betrayal.

"Ah yes. Not so good a bargain." President Loki smirked, "How about this one? My army, my throne."

"About that.." One of the Loki's in his army said.

They then all pointed their weapons at him.

I could feel the disappointment and embarrassment rolling off Loki as he watched the variants of himself all betray each other.

"Why you beef-witted, half-faced scrubs!" President Loki growled, "We had a deal!"

"For God's sake."

Alligator Loki growled, stepping forward.

"Why the hell is there an alligator in here?"

"He's a Loki!"

The alligator charged forward and bit President Loki's arms.

He tried to throw him off.

Alligator Loki bit off a big chunk of President Loki's arm.

He looked at his arm and let out a scream.

From there, it descended into chaos and all the Loki's started fighting.

I sprinted over to Kid Loki and kicked Boastful Loki away from him.

I then shoved a random Loki where I was just stood and ran out of the way.

They then started fighting.

"Are you okay?" I asked Kid Loki.

He stared at me in shock for a few seconds before nodding.

"We need to get out of here." I stated.

Classic Loki nodded and created perfect illusions of us all fighting.

Kid Loki picked up Alligator Loki and ran towards the portal that was created.

I looked around to try and spot my Loki.

As soon as I saw him, I grabbed his hand and dragged him through the portal.

~*~

"Animals! We lie and we cheat." Classic Loki stated, "We cut the throat of every person who trusts us, and for what? Power. Glorious power. Glorious purpose! We cannot change."

I frowned.

"We're broken." Classic Loki continued, "Every version of us. Forever."

"And whenever one of us dares try to fix themselves, they're sent here to die." Kid Loki cried.

"That's why I need to get out of here." Loki exclaimed.

"If we kill whoever is behind the TVA. They won't be able to stop us. And there will be no more void." I smiled faintly, "Although it will be hard."

Loki nodded, "We can do it."

"We need to find Sylvie."

"You trust her?" Classic Loki asked.

"Yes, with my life." I responded.

"That's good enough for me." Kid Loki stated.

"Fine, we'll help you. But.. approaching Alioth is a death sentence. We'll get you to it, but that's as far as as go."

~*~

"I have to say, it feels odd walking toward the gargantuan creature." Classic Loki commented, "Do you have a plan of action?"

"Get inside, find its heart or brain or whatever, and then, you know, do it in." Loki responded.

"I mean.."

"Okay. Just because it's not complicated doesn't mean it's bad." Loki argued.

"It's a shit plan." I stated, "You're going to get yourself killed."

"Oh yeah. What should we do then?" Loki asked.

"Maybe try and find Sylvie and then think up a plan. Last time we used your plan we almost died. In the end Sylvie had to help anyway." I thought for a few seconds before continuing, "We can try to enchant it ourselves."

"And how would I go about that exactly?"

"If she can do it so can you."

Alligator Loki growled.

"See? He's on board with my plan." Loki stated.

"No." Classic Loki translated for us, "He's praying. He thinks we're going to die."

"Sounds about right."

A huge ship suddenly materialised out of nowhere.

"Alioth is like any animal." Loki explained, "He'll go after the big meal first. And while he's busy with that, we can sneak around and back and..."

The ship got devoured by Alioth.

"No. Absolutely not. But feel free to carry out the plan by yourself." I told him.

Loki rolled his eyes.

Kid Loki nodded, "I agree with Y/n."

"Yeah, me too." Classic Loki added.

"Seriously?" Loki sighed, "Okay.. yeah. Maybe we should think a bit more about this."

Kid Loki turned around, "Car."

I turned to see a car coming in our direction.

"Is that bad?" I asked.

"Well, usually means cannibalistic marauders," Kid Loki responded, "or cannibalistic pirates."

"Well shit."

I watched cautiously as it came closer.

The car stopped and some people got out.

"Is that Sylvie?" I asked.

Loki squinted in their direction before nodding.

I took off into a sprint, the others following behind me.

"You're alive." She stated when she saw me, giving me a small smile.

"I knew you'd follow us. So you've got a plan? Enchant it, right?" I replied.

She nodded, "Yep."

Then, Sylvie stepped forward and hugged my tightly, her head resting on my shoulder.

"I'm so glad you're okay.."

"Yeah, me too."

I pulled away from the hug and saw that the others caught up.

"Mobius!" Loki exclaimed, "How did you.."

"We thought you could do with some backup." Sylvie stated.

Sylvie moved to attack the other Loki's.

I quickly grabbed her arm to stop her.

"These are our friends." I told her.

She huffed and stop walking towards them.

They all stopped next to Loki.

"Well, they're, um.. How best to put this?" Loki stumbled over his words.

Sylvie and Mobius just stared at him.

"Um.. Us as a child, us in the future and us as an.. alligator."

Sylvie sent him an incredulous look.

"Best not to question it." Loki stated.

"You throw a rock out here, you hit a Loki." Mobius commented.

"So you're all after the giant cloud monster, too, then?"

"Well, we haven't decided how we're going to kill it, but..." Loki trailed off.

"Come again? Kill it?"

"Yes, we're going to kill Alioth."

"Oh my God. That was your plan."

"I told him it was shit." I stated.

Sylvie nodded, "Yeah it's shit. And you all went along with it?"

She turned to look at the other Lokis.

"I had my doubts." Kid Loki responded immediately.

"All right. Well, what's your plan, then?" Loki asked.

"I'm going to enchant it."

"That's exactly what Y/n said." Kid Loki commented.

"And I don't agree." Loki stated.

"Well, tough. Your plan is shit." I quipped.

"Fine then." Loki huffed.

~*~

I sat down next to Sylvie.

"Are you okay?"

She smiled, "I am now."

The blonde laced our hands together.

"This outfit is pretty uncomfortable, though." She stated.

"I can fix that."

A small purple light went over her as I changed her outfit.

"How did you do that?" Sylvie asked in shock.

"Well, I got my memories back and I can somewhat remember how to control my magic. That being said I'd probably have to train again to make it as good as it once was." I sighed.

Sylvie didn't say anything else and just rested her head on my shoulder.

Loki came and sat down beside us.

"What are you talking about?"

Sylvie scoffed, "None of your business."

"It's cold." Loki commented, summoning a blanket around himself.

"Two can play at that game." I commented, summoning a blanket around myself and Sylvie.

She snuggled into me.

Loki sighed.

"What is that, a tablecloth?" Sylvie asked, looking at his so called blanket.

It didn't look very comfortable.

"Oh, come here."

I grabbed Loki and pulled him into the blanket with us.

He got rid of his blanket and snuggled into mine.

It was big and fluffy.

I was feeling extremely warm, huddled between their bodies.

"I'm not ready for this." I stated.

"How can anyone be?" Loki asked.

I frowned, "We could all die. I want to make sure I say goodbye before that."

"No." Sylvie stated.

"What?"

"There will be no goodbyes. We'll make it through this.. together." She squeezed my hand gently.

I smiled at her and squeezed back.

Loki nodded, "We can do this."

And so we all sat there, comforted in each other's embrace.

If only we knew what was going to happen. Maybe it would've turned out different.

Maybe we wouldn't have been separated.

But a Loki is a Loki.

And they lie and betray.

Maybe it was my fault. In the end, who's fault was it really?

~*~

I walked over to the building and went inside to see Mobius talking to the other Lokis.

"It's time." I stated.

"Are you ready?" Mobius asked.

"No." I smiled, "But we can do this. For the sake of everyone at the TVA, we have to. To save them..."

~*~

We all stood on the hill, watching Alioth.

I smiled, "This is goodbye."

I first hugged Mobius and then Classic Loki.

Then, I turned my gaze to Kid Loki.

He was frowning.

I knew what he wanted to say.

Do you have to go?

I think we both knew the answer to that.

He hugged my tightly, similar to how he did when I first arrived.

I felt my shoulder getting slightly wet.

He was crying.

I pulled away from the hug slightly to see his face.

I brought my hand up and gently wiped away the tears.

"It'll be okay. Because Loki's survive. We'll defeat whoever is controlling the TVA and then you can get back to your Y/n... I promise. This is goodbye. You'll see me again, not this me... but another one."

He nodded and pulled away from the hug, "Goodbye."

I walked towards Alioth with both Loki and Sylvie.

Looking back, I noticed only Mobius went back through the portal.

I can only hope they find happiness. They deserve it.

Alioth charged towards us.

Classic Loki quickly created an illusion to distract it.

His power was amazing. It was beautiful.

He had recreated Asgard.. my home.

I felt so nostalgic seeing my home even though it had been so long since I had been there.

Turning back to Alioth, I grabbed Loki and Sylvie's hands.

"Looks like you're more powerful than you thought." Sylvie told Loki, "Now concentrate. We can do it."

I closed my eyes and concentrate on the feeling of capturing its mind.

Alioth let out a loud roar.

But it didn't attack us.

I opened my eyes and saw the mist had a green hue to it, there were small patches of purple.

We had done it.

I can't believe it.

This portal opened.

We stared at it for a few seconds before stepping through it.

Finally, we were going to meet him.

A/n I'm not sure if the last episode will be one or two chapters. But I was so excited to write this I've been working on it really hard. It hasn't been a week yet. Though since I'll likely update twice a week. To you it'll have been ages.
