3. New Servant
You woke up to the sound of someone screaming. You bolt out of bed and realize that you had fallen asleep in your dirty and wet (but now dried) cloak. While contemplating what to do, you hear more shouting. Curious, you slowly creaked open the door and peeked out to see a white-haired girl yelling at an older woman with purple hair.
"Camilla! Don't hug me like that!" The white haired girl yelled.
Camilla laughed at the younger girl. "Oh Corrin, it was nothing to freak out about. It's just a hug." She then turned slightly and saw you peeking out your door. "Oh my. Niles kidnapped another female and imprisoned her here." Camilla walked over to you and opened the door, forcing you to walk out.
"I wasn't captured," you replied.
"Nonsense," Camilla insisted. "It's obvious that you were captured. Why else would you still be wearing that outfit?"
Corrin coughed. "Um, Camilla? I don't think she was captured...."
"You are correct, Lady Corrin," Jakob announced as he approached, carrying yet another tray of tea. "Her name is (Y/N) and she was merely seeking shelter from the rain. Leo allowed for her to spend the night here."
"What were you doing in the rain?" Corrin asked as she snatched a teacup from the butler.
"I was returning home," you replied as Jakob handed you a cup of tea. "The path was blocked, so I ran this way instead."
Camilla accepted a cup from Jakob as well and nodded as he walked away. "Hm... That explains the cloak."
You look at your feet and felt very self-conscious. "Um..." You began, unsure of what to do.
"What were you doing in another town?" Corrin interjected excitedly.
"Dropping supplies off," you rub the back of your neck awkwardly. "My parents are blacksmiths, and I have a knack for making potions and the like."
Camilla tapped her fingers on her chin. "You're hired."
You blink. "I'm sorry?"
"I'm hiring you as a maid. The rain isn't letting up anytime soon."
Corrin blinked several times. "You're hiring her like that?"
Camilla nodded happily. "Yes. She seems like a hard worker and we could have a good supply of our... Medicine."
"That would be very unwise," a voice warned out of the blue. Seconds later, Leo appeared and glared at Camilla. "For all we know, she could be a spy."
"If so, then you're a horrible spy, (Y/N)." Corrin teased. "Spies normally don't reveal who they are to people they're spying on."
Leo shook his head in disbelief. "Didn't you hear what happened to Prince Chrom when he allowed Robin to join his ranks?"
Corrin rolled her eyes. "Yes, only because you pounded that story into my head like 30 times so that I would never do the same thing."
Leo didn't blink as he continued on his rant. "It's like with Prince Marth and how he let random pirates join his army! Those princes may have gotten lucky, but we need to be careful to avoid certain death!"
You deflated a little. You weren't a bad person, but you were hoping that Leo could see that. Corrin looked over to you for a second before facing Leo.
"Leo?"
"What now?" Leo asked, irritated.
"Your robe is inside out."
You start to laugh when you see Leo freak out and dash away. Corrin and Camilla joined in your laughter as well.
"Poor little Leo," Camilla commented. "He is horrible at getting dressed."
"Does this happen frequently?" You ask.
Corrin laughed. "Unfortunately, yes."
Camilla finished her tea. "Charlotte? Selena?" She clapped, and after a minute, two women appeared out of nowhere. One of them was a grayish-blue soldier and the other one was red-haired knight. As you looked at them, Camilla pointed to you.
"I need you to find an adorable outfit suitable for her."
Before you could protest, the red head grabbed your wrist and dragged you away from the others, screaming and attempting to punch her all the way.
Reina: Thanks for reading this chapter! Poor you, though. XD
I need five votes for the next chapter, but I'll make Leo wear a maid's costume if I get more than 6~.
Leo: How dare you!!!!!
