The Vampire King's Personal Maid

Taking a deep breath to calm his nerves, the King takes a whiff of the one thing he craves more than anything else... human blood, but not just any old human, no he craved her. Only being allowed to drink blood pills, that help sustain him, he has never before been so attracted to anyone's blood. Since the day he bought her at an auction he has been holding himself back, she became an instant drug to him. In an attempt to keep her to himself he made an immediate decision to make her his. Well, that is as his personal maid.

Not long after though, he found himself unable to work in her presence. Every time he would walk into a room his eyes would involuntarily search for her. Or even if she walked by his office he would be stunned still for a couple of minutes until it passed. After a year of this endless torture, he noticed a drastic change in himself. He would be so easily angered, nothing satisfied him, and most importantly he would be constantly starved. After visiting the doctors when his hunger became too much he realized...the pills were not working anymore.

They recommended him to take a few sips of blood from a vile, but he was repulsed by the mere thought of drinking it. Instead, he decided to stay with a stronger dosage of the blood pills. He had a chance to take her numerous times but held himself back thinking only of her well being. By law, all humans had to be registered and, checked, and paid for donating their blood. Some people did not like the idea. Mainly vampires that thought they deserved more, by kidnapping humans and selling their blood...fresh. It was this same group that has caused countless cases involving humans being drained of all their blood.

I swore myself to one woman, but ever since this little vixen came into my life nothing has been the same... like right now, for instance, I am supposed to be thinking up plans and ideas to better the lives of my people. Instead, I am sitting in my throne room looking across the room toward my young maid.
