Lydia's POV
Bonnie,Elena and I are in the boarding house with a lawyer getting the house signed over to my cousin Elena.

"Please, sign here and here." The lawyer says handing her then pen.

"Ok." Elena says and starts signing the papers.

"So this place is all yours? They just gave it to you?" Bonnie asks from next to me.

"For now. As sole owner, I'm the only one who can invite a certain type of person in here, if you know what I mean." Elena tells both of us.

"Your own personal safe house, from Klaus." I say

"Thats the idea." Elena says

"Wouldn't want to clean it." Bonnie comments, making us all chuckle, a few minutes later Elena's finished signing all the papers.

"Thank you Mr.Henry." Elena says opening the door for him. Stefan and Damon are outside the threshold, they move to go in but gets stopped by an invisible barrier making me chuckle.

"Im sorry, I completely forgot." Elena says turning back around to face them.

"Stefan. Would you like to come inside my house?" Elena asks with a smile.

"I would love to, thank you." Stefan says stepping into the house, Elena then looks over at Damon with a frown.

"What are we, twelve?" Damon asks sarcastically.

"One of us is. If I let you in, do you promise to obey the owner of this house?" Elena asks

"No." Damon says

"Seriously, Damon. My way. You promised. I call the shots. No lies, no secret agendas. Remember?" Elena tells him. Damon then looks over at me.

"Lydia, please convince your cousin to invite me in the house." Damon asks me, making me raise an eyebrow.

"... I'll let you drive my baby if you get her to let me in." Damon says after a long pause.

"Awww really ,Damon. You'd really let me drive your car?" I ask with a fake smile on my face.

"... Yes." He says getting the word out.

"Hmm, well as tempting as that offer is I just have to decline." I say smirking.

"Come on, Lyds. You owe me one." Damon reminds me.

"Sorry, Damon. I guess you just have to agree to Elena's terms, which are completely fair." I tell him, he glares at me but agrees nonetheless.

"Yes, Elena. sure. I agree, to your terms." Damon says

"Then please come in." Elena says inviting him in, making me chuckle and shake my head at him.

"Shut up" Damon says seeing Mine and Stefan's facial expression. Bonnie then comes in from the other room handing Elena her jacket and me my phone which I left on the table.

"Thanks." Elena and I both say at the same time.

"Wait, where are you going?" Stefan asks us.

"School, where people go to learn." I tell him with a smile.

"No, no, no. We didn't create a safe house for you to leave it." Damon tells her.

"Yeah, guys, Klaus is out there. We know that." Stefan tells us.

"Right. But where? No one knows. Look, I really appreciate what you guys are doing. And I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that I'll be safe here." Elena tells them.

"Look guys, she gets it you want to keep her safe, but she's not going to be a prisoner in this place." I tell them.

"Tsk, your way , Elena,Lydia." Damon tells us.

"Don't worry, I'm ready. If he shows his face, I can take him. I Know how." Bonnie tells them.

"The way I see it, next to Bonnie is the safest place that I can be. Come on." Elena says, before we start to walk out of the house.

"Wait, Um, Im coming." Stefan says catching up with us.

"You just couldn't resist could you,Stef?" I say smirking, he rolls his eyes at me.

"Well someone has to keep you out of trouble." Stefan tells me

"Moi, in trouble?" I ask innocently.

"Yes, you." Stefan says.

"Aww, thats so sweet Stef. Really it warms my heart to know that you care about me." I say placing a hand on my heart smiling at him with Stefan just shaking his head.

Were now in school in the History classroom, Im sitting in front of Stefan. Elena then shows us the poster for the 60's decade dance making Stefan shake his head no and for me to nod my head yes. The exact opposite of Stefan. She then shows the poster to bonnie who nods, she looks back at Stefan and gives him a pointed look.

"Why do you encourage her to go to these things?" Stefan asks

"Because Dances are fun." I tell him looking over my shoulder at him.

"But dangerous when you have a thousand year old vampire after you." Stefan tells me.

"He's not even in Mystic Falls, yet. Chill out." I tell him and turn back around.

"Wait, is he in Mystic Falls already?" I ask looking him in the eyes, he opens his mouth about to say something but Alaric walks in the classroom making him be quiet, I turn back around so Im facing the front.

"Hello, class. What are we learning today?" Alaric asks, making me furrow my brows in confusion.

"With the decade dance tonight, we've been covering the sixties all week." Dana, a girl in our class says.

"Right, the sixties." Ric says, he looks around the classroom until he see's Elena and stares at her for a couple of seconds before to turns towards the board.

"The sixties. I wish there was something good I could say about the sixties, but...Actually, they kind of sucked. Except for the Beatles, of course. They made it bearable. Uh, what else was there? The Cuban missile thing, the...we walked on the moon. There was Watergate." Alaric says.

"The watergate was the 70's Alaric." I tell him, making everyone look at me.

"What? Im aloud to call him by his full name, he's dating my Aunt or was dating her. Sorry. I'll just shut up now." I says zipping my lips shut.

"Right. It all kind of mushes together up here, the sixties, seventies. Thank you, Lydia." Ric says with a fake smile on his face. Its the end of class and once everyone leaves I walk up to Ric.

"Hey, sorry about whatI said before. I didn't mean to make you upset or to think about her, and Im doing it again. Sorry." I say

"Uhh, its fine, Lydia." Alaric tells me.

"Are you sure, because I didn't mean it, well I did but I didn't. If that makes sense, because you know I have this problem with speaking before I think and then I start to babble and apologise and... Im doing it, aren't I?" I ask Ric.

"Yeah, buts its fine. Its actually kind of adorable." Alaric says, making me look at him weirdly.

"Oookay, well Im hungry so Im going to get some lunch." I say before walking away and towards the cafeteria and get my lunch I sit with Bonnie and Elena.

"Hey, guys. Sorry I was late. I was making sure Alaric was ok, speaking of Alaric have you noticed anything off about him?" I ask Bonnie and Elena.

"No." they both say.

"Why?" Elena asks.

"Oh, no reason." I say dismissing it.Dana then comes to our table.

"Hey, Elena,Lydia, there you are. Okay. This is going to sound freaky, but this totally hot guy just asked me to ask you if you're going to the dance tonight." Dana says.

"Tell him, she's taken, but me on the other hand..." I start to say but get cut off by Bonnie.

"Is also in a relationship." Bonnie says for me.

"Wait, Im not in a relationship. Im not in a relationship." I say talking to Dana, making Elena and Bonnie giggle at me.

"You could at least meet him. He'll be at the dance tonight. Look for him. His name is Klaus." Dana tells us.

"I'm sorry, what did you just say?" Elena asks shocked.

"His name's Klaus. I know the name's stupid, but I swear he's hot." Dana tells us.

"Where is he? Is he here now?" Bonnie asks looking around.

"I don't know." Dana says looking confused.

"She's been compelled." I tell them.

"But he wants to know if you two will save him the last dance. How cute is that?" Dana says

"So cute." I say in a sarcastic tone of voice.

Were at Stefan and Damon's house now talking about what we're going to do.

"So we go to the dance, we find him." Damon says.

"Really? How are we going to do that?" Stefan asks him.

"We have no idea what he even looks like Damon, I mean he could be anyone." I tell him.

"Something tells me he's not going to be sixteen and pimply." Damon comments.

"Unless he got a witch to switch their bodies." I say, making everyone look at me.

"What. Just because we've never even mentioned the whole swapping bodies scenario doesn't mean Klaus hasn't done it. We could be looking for someone at school, maybe someone we already know." I tell them.

"I don't think he's in someone else's body, Lydia." Stefan says.

"But what if he is?" I ask, Stefan sighs and walks over to me placing his hands on my shoulders looking me in the ryes.

"Lydia, I promise you he is not in someone else's body and if he in someone else's body we'll find him, ok. So don't worry about it. We've got it all handled." Stefan tells me.

"Ok. Subject dropped." I say with a fake smile, thinking about how odd Alaric's been acting. Someone then knocks on the door Alaric then walks in the room making me freeze and my posture go stiff.

"There you are." Damon says after seeing Alaric.

"Sorry, Im late." He says.

"Hey, I need you to put me down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move." Damon tells him.

"Okay, so we find him and then what, hmm? What's our plan of attack?" Elena asks.

"Me. I'm the plan. He has no idea how much power I can channel. If you can find him, I can kill him." Bonnie tells her.

"That's not going to be that easy. I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around." Alaric says with a smirk, I look over at him closely. I know there's just something different about Alaric, something not right.

"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he..." Damon starts to say before speeding towards Bonnie but before he can even get to her, she throws him across the other side of the room without even touching him.

"Well, I was impressed." Stefan says.

"It doesn't matter if he's an Original. I can take down anyone who comes at me. I can kill him, Elena. I know I can." Bonnie tells her. I look towards Alaric one last time before walking upstairs.

"Lydia. Hey, Lyd." Damon says.

"Where is she going?" Damon asks them.

"It looks like she's going upstairs." Elena tells him.

"Ha ha, very funny." Damon says.

"Lydia." He says again, but I just ignore him and walk into my room that I have here, which is right next to Stefans.
{Lydia's bedroom}

I take off my boots and lay down on my bed facing the wall, thinking about Alaric and how he might be the person that Klaus switched bodies with. I know I should just let it go, but I can't. Somethings not right here.

"Lydia." Damon says walking into my room.

"Lyd, you ok?" Damon asks after seeing I haven't moved from my spot since he walked in.

"Lydia." He asks again and walks towards where Im facing.

"Hey, everything ok in that beautiful mesmerising little brain of yours?" Damon asks with a soft and worried expression on his face. I sit up and look at Damon.

"I know I said I'd drop the subject, but I can't help but think Klaus did switch bodies with someone." I say, Damon sighs and sits down next to me.

"Why do you think that?" Damon asks curious.

"Its just a guess." I say softly.

"No, it isn't. Come on Lydia, why do you think Klaus is in someone else's body?" Damon asks.

"Have you noticed how weird Alaric's been acting?" I ask.

"Don't tell me you think Ric is Klaus?" Damon says

"Maybe." I say

"Lydia..." Damon starts.

"He's been acting really off today, he's not himself." I say.

"He's probably acting off because of what happened with Jenna, not because he's not well him." Damon says.

"I just have this feeling." I say looking down.

"Hey, stop stressing. Alaric is fine and himself. So there's no need to worry. Ok?" Damon says.

"Ok." I say smiling.

"Good." He says kissing me on top of my head before walking away.

"Oh and just to let you know your my date for tonight." Damon says.

"Couldn't get Elena to ditch Stefan, could you?" I ask with a smirk.

"Shut up." He says before leaving my room, once he does my smile fades.

After I get ready for the 60's decade dance I walk downstairs and see Damon waiting for me.

"Hey, D." I say with a smile on my face.

"Hey, L." He says and brings me into a tight hug before letting me go.

"You ready for tonight?" I ask him.

"Yep. You?" He asks.

"Defiantly." I say my face full of light and happiness.

"Come on, we should leave." Damon says, we walk outside and into his car.

"Ooo, can I drive?" I ask.

"Hmmm, no." Damon says.

"But..." I start to say but get cut off.

"No buts, Lydia. You are not driving my baby." Damon says ending the conversation.

"Fine." I mumble and get in the passenger seat.

{Lydia's 60's outfit}

Once Damon parks the car at the high school, he turns to me.

"What?" I ask him.

"Remember to stay by my side, ok?" Damon says.

"Uhh, no." I say.

"Lydia, Klaus isn't just after Elena anymore he made that perfectly clear." Damon tells me.

"Klaus is not after me, Damon." I tell him.

"Stay by my side, Lydia. Please." Damon asks looking desperate.

"Ok, I'll stay by your side tonight." I say.

"Thank you." He says before kissing my cheek and getting out, I undo my seatbelt and hop out of the car.

"Hey, guys." I say pulling both Jeremy and Bonnie into a hug.

"Hey, you look pretty." Bonnie comments.

"Thanks, Bonnie." I say smiling.

"Damon." Bonnie says.

"Evenin'." Damon says before placing his hand on the middle of my back guiding me into the school gym where the dance is all set up.

"Thanks for being here, everybody. We have a special shout-out tonight." Dana says into the microphone. Elena,Stefan,Damon,Jeremy,Bonnie and I are move to the front of the room.

"This is for Elena and Lydia. From Klaus." Dana says, making me widen my eyes in shock and surprise.

"That was a lame, cheap shot. He's just trying to bait us." Damon says.

"I know everyone here." Elena says.

"Maybe he's not here. Just wants us to believe that he is." Stefan says.

"Or maybe he is here just in another person's body." I whisper lowly but Stefan and Damon both here me fine.

"Lydia, we went through this before." Damon whispers to me.

"Then how do you explain this?" I ask.

"He's just trying to mess with us, L." Damon tells me, I roll my eyes at him.

"It's a party, people. Blend. Let him come to us." Damon says speaking to everyone.

"Good idea." Bonnie says and grabs Jeremy's arm dragging him to the dance floor making me smile at them.

"No, no, I really don't feel like dancing." Jeremy says.

"Too bad." Bonnie says.

"There's Ric. We'll be back." Damon says interlocking our hands guiding me through the sea of people until we get to Alaric.

"Special dedication, huh? This guy's a little twisted." Alaric says, making me roll my eyes, of course you would say that, because your Klaus. I rip my hand out of Damon's harshly, both Damon and Ric/Klaus see it.

"Im not impressed." Damon says.

"No?" Alaric asks.

"You sound disappointed." I comment looking at him.

"Lydia." Damon says giving me a pointed look, I roll my eyes at him.

"Im going to go find Elena." I say walking away from them annoyed and pissed off.

"I thought you were going to find Elena." Damon says coming up next to me.

"I did. She's dancing with Stefan." I say.

"Whats wrong, Lydia?" Damon asks.

"Do you really have to ask me that?" I ask turning to face him.

"What are you talking about?" He says confused.

"Klaus is in Alaric's body." I tell him.

"Not this again, L." Damon sighs.

"I have really good instincts , Damon. I'm not wrong about this, but you want to know what really hurts... Is that you don't believe me." I say. His face falls for a second he opens his mouth about to say something but I cut him off.

"Whatever your gonna say, don't even bother." I say hurt, before walking away from him.

"Hey." I say walking up to Elena seeing her alone.

"Hey, Lyd." Elena says giving me a hug.

"Where's Stefan?" I ask.

"Talking to Jeremy." Elena tells me.

"Are you ok, Lydia?" Elena asks me.

"Honestly, no." I answer honestly.

"Whats wrong?" She asks.

"I had a fight with Damon because he doesn't believe me about something. No one does." I say.

"What doesn't he believe you about?" She asks me.

"Its doesn't matter." I say putting on a fake smile.

"Lydia." Elena says.

"Really, Elena. Its nothing." I say, she pulls me into a tight comforting hug which I gladly accept.

Elena and I are walking up to Bonnie after finding out from Stefan, that doing the spell can kill Bonnie.

"We need to talk to you." Elena says.

"How could you not tell us?" I ask after were far enough away from everyone.

"Cause I knew how'd you react." Bonnie tells us.

"How else are we suppose to react, Bonnie." I ask her

"No way. Its not an option." Elena says.

"Its our only option." Bonnie tells us.

"No, we'll find another way. We always do." I tell her.

"Lydia's right, Bonnie. Your not dying to save my life." Elena says.

"I have the power to save you! If I don't use it and something happens, that would kill me more." Bonnie tells us.

"We can't let you." Elena tells her.

"Just answer one question...if the situation was reversed, would you do it for me?" Bonnie asks both of us making us fall silent.

"So you know why I have to." Bonnie tells us.

"No,no." Elena says.

"You can't do this." I tell her upset.

"Elena! Lydia!" Alaric says running up to us.

"What?" I ask coldly.

"He has Jeremy." Alaric says.

"What?" Bonnie and Elena say at the same time, while I just shake my head.

"Yeah, Klaus has Jeremy. Come on." He says, before running into the building with Elena and Bonnie Following making me follow them inside knowing its a trap.

"Okay, so where are you taking us?" Elena asks Alaric.

"Just a little further." Alaric says.

"Wait, something's not right." Elena says stopping.

"Finally. Someone else besides me realises that." I whisper to myself.

"Where's Jeremy?" Bonnie asks. Klaus/Alaric stop and laughs, I look at him suspiciously.

"I just had to get away from that dance. The sixties, ugh. Not my decade." Klaus/Alaric says before laughing again.

"I mean, whose call was that, anyway? I much prefer the twenties. The style, the parties, the jazz." Alaric/Klaus says.

"Alaric, are you on vervain?" Elena asks.

"Now why would you ask me that question, Elena?" He asks smiling.

"He's been compelled." Elena says making me roll my eyes.

"Nope. Try again." Ric says.

"Whats going on?" Elena asks confused, I stand in front of both Bonnie and Elena.

"Thats not Ric. Its Klaus." I say bored, making Klaus/Alaric grin at me.

"Surprise." He says.

"Oh, no. No, it's not possible." Elena says.

"Just relax, Elena. I'm not here to hurt you, or your beautiful cousin. You're not on my hit list tonight." He tells us, making me look towards Bonnie.

"But you are." He says and stalks towards us, but she throws him against the wall with her powers.

"Now, did I mention that I knew a witch? You're gonna have to hit me a lot harder than that." He says getting up. He rushes over to her again but she makes him fly into the display case, smashing the glass.

"By all means...Fire away!" He says getting up.

"If you kill this body, I'll just get a new one. Maybe Jeremy." He ponders.

"Go. Run. Run." Bonnie says, making all of us run the other way while Bonnie closes the door with her powers.

"What happened?" Damon asks running in from another pair of doors.

"Klaus is in Alaric's body." Elena tells him.

"What?" Damon asks.

"Just like I was trying to tell you." I say speaking up, making Damon look at me with regret on his face.

"He's possessing it or something." Bonnie tells me, diverting his eyes to her.

"Go find Stefan. Now." Damon tells me and Elena.

"Ok." I saw before we leave and start looking for Stefan. Were on the dance floor looking for Stefan all around.

"Hey, are you ok?" Caroline asks us.

"Um...Yeah. I'm just...I'm looking for Stefan." Elena says.

"Over there." I whisper to her nodding towards where Stefan is.

"Seriously, what's wrong?" Caroline asks.

"its nothing Care, just stay with matt ok." I tell her before Elena grabs my hand and we walk towards Stefan.

Elena,Stefan and I are running through the school hallways trying to find Bonnie.

"There you are." Damon says.

"What are you doing?" Elena asks.

"Where's Bonnie?" I demand him.

"She's doing what she has to do." Damon tells us.

"What?" Elena asks.

"Where is she?" Stefan asks.

"Stefan, let her do this." Damon tells him.

"Damn it, Damon, where is she?!" Stefan asks. We find Bonnie in the cafeteria fighting with Alaric/Klaus, her nose is bleeding and she looks exhausted.

"Bonnie." Elena and I scream, we run towards the door but she shuts it with her magic.

"Bonnie, no." Elena says trying to get in the room.

"Bonnie." I shout trying to break down the door with Stefan's help. She then looks towards us with a smile before she falls to the ground. Stefan opens the doors and we run towards her body I place hr head in my lap with tears streaming down my face ruining my makeup.

"No! Oh! Bonnie! Bonnie, Bonnie! Bonnie! Hey, hey." Elena says crying hysterically.

"Bonnie. Bon- bon. You have to wake up, Bonnie. Bonnie, please." I sob.

"Stefan, she's not breathing." Elena sobs.

"Stefan, there's no pulse. Stefan." I cry.

"Do something, please! Stefan, please! Just give her blood, do something, please!" Elena begs.

"Stefan, please." I beg crying my eyes out.

"Its too late. Im sorry." Stefan says looking down at us.

"No,no. This isn't happening." I whisper in shock and sadness.

"No! No. No, no, no, no, no! Bonnie! Bonnie, please, no! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Elena cries.

"She's not dead. She can't be dead. Stefan." I ask looking up at him.

"Im sorry, Lydia." He says.

"No,no,no,no. Bonnie. Just open your eyes. Please, Bonnie. Bonnie!" I say crying over her body with Elena.

"Stefan, get Elena and Lydia out of here. I'll deal with the body." Damon tells Stefan, making Elena and I stand up.

"What do you mean deal with the body?" Asks Elena.

"The sheriff can't know about this. Last thing we need's another mysterious death." Damon tells us.

"This is Bonnie, we're talking about it." I tell him angry.

"Get them home. Now. So I can clean this up." Damon tells Stefan.

"Hey, hey, hey." Stefan says helping us up.

"No. Jeremy. Oh, my God, Jeremy. What about Jeremy?" Elena asks.

"I'll find him." Damon says, I walk up to him.

"This is all your fault, if you just believed me all this could've been prevented." I say.

"I know." Damon says, I walk away from him and towards Stefan and Elena.

Were at the boarding house Elena and I are sitting near the fireplace with a blanket wrapped around us.

"Hey. Here, drink this." Stefan says walking back to us handing us a mug each.

"We can't" I whisper letting a tear fall down my cheek.

"Yeah. Yeah, you can. Please drink this." Stefan asks us. We put the mug to our lips but start crying.

"This is my fault." Elena says.

"No, Its Damon's fault." I say.

"No, no, no, no, no. No. Hey. This was Klaus. Listen to me. Klaus did this." Stefan tells us. Damon then walks into the room I place the mug on the table and stand up.

"What did you do with her?" Elena demands.

"Will you please calm her down?" Damon asks Stefan.

"Don't talk like I'm not standing right in front of you." Elena says stopping Stefan.

"Please calm down." Damon says.

"You knew! Didn't you? You knew that if she harnessed all that power, that she would die, didn't you?" I ask stepping closer to him.

"Yes. Yes, I knew." Damon admits, I slap him hard across the face angry.

"I hate you." I whisper before Stefan grabs me and hugs me to his body letting me cry on him.

"You need to listen to me, and prepare for what I'm about to say. Bonnie had to die. Klaus using Alaric's body was a total surprise. She wasn't prepared for that. And he wasn't going to stop, and we weren't going to be able to stop him until he knew she was dead. He had to believe it." Damon tells us, making me look up from Stefan's shoulder and look at him.

"She cast a spell. Bonnie's okay." Damon tells us, before walking away, Stefan lets me go and goes after Damon, Elena and I both look at each other.

"Bonnie." Elena and I say through the webcam where we can see Bonnie.

"Elena, Lydia. Im so sorry." Bonnie says.

"Its ok, Bonnie. We just needed to see for ourselves." I say in tears.

"There wasn't enough time for me to tell you." Bonnie says.

"It's okay, seriously. Damon explained it all." Elena tells her, all three of us crying.

Im in my room now sitting on my bed thinking.

"Lydia." I hear Damon say, I turn around and see him standing there.

"What do you want?" I ask him.

"I know your angry at me, and you have every right to." Damon says.

"Yeah, I do. You didn't believe me, Damon." I say hurt.

"I know and I'm sorry. The next time you have a feeling or a hunch, I promise I'll believe you." Damon says.

"But you didn't." I whisper upset.

"Lydia, will you forgive me." He asks.

"I need time, you really hurt me today, D." I say

"I know." He whispers.

"I want to be alone." I say.

"Ok, I hope one day you can forgive me. Im sorry." He says before leaving my room, making me let out a sigh and sit on my bed hurt.
