The cold breeze hits Kai's face like a knife.
It's dangerous, he knows. He stands on the cemented porch of the terrace which is about 18 floors high, overlooking the Mystic Falls skyline. The new age was dawning. The sky looked beautiful with pale blue blended with yellow and orange colors. Garbed in his wedding suit desiccated with your blood, Kai stands cautiously on the uplifted path.

Despite the terrible void created by your absence clawing at Kai's heart, he somehow manages to chuckle bitterly, thinking about Damon and Stefan when they will find out a small piece of paper in his house ,disclosing his plan.

With trembling fingers Kai reaches into the side pockets of his pants. His fingers circling around the thick end of the wooden stake . He pulls it out. His blurry eyes looked at the sky, clouds moving together. He wished his life to be just like that. Calm and simple.
His sad eyes looked at the stake in his hand.

Klaus should never leave the stake on the table .

A tear escapes from his eyes.
It still hurts that he couldn't give you a perfect life. You left him, creating a vacuum in his heart. He felt pathetic when he couldn't save you last night. He remembered promising you to protect you from any danger. But he failed.

This life meant nothing without you.
Kai misses you too much that he needs to be reunited with you. He doesn't care what the consequences will be. All he wanted to feel you, to feel your loving embrace. He would do anything for that.

The sun was out, flaming strongly.
He took out his sunlight ring from his middle finger and smiling at his wedding ring. He threw the ring in the air, looking at it as it falls, disappearing into the thick air .
He repeated his vow to you. -

" Till death do us part. "

With that he shoved the stake deep inside his heart, converting him into ash and blown away by the wind,
to be reunited with you.
