The next day, Raphael trained outside for the next 50 minutes, pushing himself to the limit despite his fatigue, while Hope kept track of the time with a stopwatch. Hope felt upset about her betrayal by her family; she wanted him to train intensely, hoping that his struggle would somehow shift the blame onto herself.

Raphael: OK, now what?

Hope: Keep moving for ten minutes.

Raphael: Really? I thought you said you were going to make it an easy lesson. I thought you were.

Hope: I didn't even wanna do this. Don't blame me because you're not special.

Raphael: I wasn't special at all. You can't even be recognized for what you are saying.

Hope: Raphael, cut it out. It's easy to push yourself to the limit while trying to keep everything in motion. As you strive for improvement, avoid getting stuck in a cycle of setbacks.

Raphael: That's just who I am. I refuse to remain trapped in this stupid school or any other aspect of my life; I must catch up, even if it means picking up litter.

Hope: Yeah, you should pick up the litter. Giving protect yourself with this shit.

Raphael: *hearing*

Hope: *sighs loudly* Oh my god, I'm going to get mad as hell.

Raphael: Here we go, with the smartass move when you were dedicated to your family.

Hope: *looks at him* I am dedicated to them. This is the reason they came back to life.

Raphael: Maybe you weren't wrong. I thought they were dead.

Hope: *walks over to him* I cared for them after they took great care of me.

Raphael: Respect that. Could you train me some more before I have your back?

Hope: *hearing*

Alyssa: Hope, we have an emergency. Something is going on in the woods. *looks at Hope* You too. *looks at Raphael and runs away*

Hope and Raphael: *looks at each other*

Hope, Raphael, and Alyssa run to the woods and see Shunka. After they stop running, Hope and Alyssa give out the present to transform.

Hope: Turn around.

Raphael: Why?

Hope: Because plan "B" involves me getting naked.

Raphael: *turns around* What?

Hope: I have to draw it away from you.

Raphael: Why does that require nudity?

Hope: Because this monster feeds on werewolves. *undresses*

Raphael: But you're a witch. A lying witch.

Hope and Alyssa: *undressed and drops their clothes to the ground*

Raphael: A lying, very naked witch.

Hope: *looks at him* Look, I'm more than that, and I wish I could stay and tell you all about it, but I can't. So when I draw this thing away from you, I need you to go find Dr. Saltzman and Forbes.

Raphael: Why would it after chase you- *hearing growling and turns around while seeing Shunka*

Hope and Alyssa: *transforms to wolf*

Hope and Alyssa: *separated ways*

Raphael: What the fuck... *tried to run away while watching Shunka catching him*

Matthew and Lizzie were under the Wickery Bridge, adjacent to the pond, tossing rocks one by one. As they did, Lizzie confronted him about what was happening in his life.

Matthew: It was a tough and lit experience before I got sent over here, but...

Lizzie: *hearing*

Matthew: Ain't nothing happened to me. My family is alright without getting violent. They were disappointed in me for skipping school.

Lizzie: Why are you skipping school?

Matthew: Why should I? They were bored and lame.

Lizzie: Were you aware that your fixed income will be aligned with your livelihoods?

Matthew: I tried. This dude named Ethan approached me about trying out for the team since I'm a quarterback. I can't participate because I didn't perform in the class.

Lizzie: Even if you are playing so well, I bet you can try it out. The team will know you after you give yourself strength.

Matthew: To me, you smell like a colon when you spray it before you head out of there.

Lizzie: Do you think so? Because I already have a boyfriend.

Matthew: I know. In that case... *throwing the rock made drop the rock in the water three times*

Lizzie: I can approach you to try it out with any talent.

Matthew: I was always doing that.

Lizzie: Same.

Matthew: *sees something in the water* Hey, I see something big in the water.

Lizzie: *doing the same and seeing the body until she gets up and helps the body* Matthew, help me!

Matthew: *helping her get the body out of the water, it was Raphael* Raph?

Lizzie: Raphael?

Matthew: Hold him, let me do CPR.

Lizzie: Let me do it.

Matthew: He's my friend.

Lizzie: Allow me to handle it; I can do a better job.

Matthew: *hearing*

Lizzie: *doing CPR*

Matthew: *waiting*

Lizzie: *keeps going*

Raphael: *exhales while spitting out the water while coughing*

Matthew: It's OK, you're safe. *paddled his back*

Raphael: What happened?...

Matthew: You almost drown in the water.

Lizzie: Why are you in the water? What the hell is going on?

Raphael: *sees them* Hope is in trouble. We were in the woods; I just saw some crazy wolf thing...

Matthew: What wolf thing?

Raphael: *breathing and coughing at the same time*

Lizzie: We're gonna go back and talk to my parents.

Elijah and Matt drove to Mystic Falls to explore the town and see what had happened recently. As they observed a group of people chatting and enjoying cotton candy, Matt noticed a gang dealing drugs around the corner, making him feel as though he were in a different town altogether. Elijah kept driving left in Covington Square as they were on the way to meet with Alaric and Caroline. As they drew nearer, Matt spotted Beth, recognizing her since they had known each other for some time. She met his gaze before Matt instructed Elijah to stop the car so he could confront Beth.

Beth: Hey. What are you heading to, stranger?

Matt: Stranger? That's very strange. I'm about to go down to the Salvatore school real quick, and then I'm about to stay in the hotel alone for tonight until Halloween by tomorrow.

Beth: Should I hang out with you in the room later? I can't stay much longer because I need to go home to get my Halloween things.

Matt: I'm counting on you. I'll text you after I get to the hotel. *walks back to the car*

Beth: *waves at him*

Elijah: So, Halloween date?

Matt: Nah. Let's keep it moving.

Elijah: *continues driving*

At Salvatore School, Lizzie, Raphael, and Matthew rushed back into the building. Matthew seated Raphael on the couch, assisting him quickly, while Lizzie had a confrontation with Alaric and Caroline. Finally, Elijah and Matt arrived, exited the car, and walked into the building, heading to the office.

Elijah: Any compromised?

Caroline: What are you guys doing here?

Elijah: To stop by to see you both. 

Alaric: I called them here to spend time with each other. *looks at Caroline*

Caroline: I agree. *looks at Alaric*

Lizzie: Listen to me. I need your help; I'm serious. Hope is in danger.

Alaric: I'll meet you outside.

Elijah: I wanna know that Hayley and Klaus are alive; they are missing.

Lizzie and Alaric: *hearing and looks at them*

Caroline: How did you know?

Matt: Hope to confront us.

Lizzie: *tried to check the boys, and they disappeared*

Later, Raphael, Matthew, and Andy ventured into the woods as Raphael picked up the grenade, knowing the spot from a previous encounter with Shunka. They continued to run, following the lead, until they paused, hearing an echo in the background and exchanging glances.

Raphael: It's gotta be him. I hear it. Stay put.

Both: *hearing*

Raphael: *sees Shunka appears*

Andy: Holy shit...

Matthew: Wolf looks big as hell.

Raphael: I gotta do something for him. *holds the grenade*

Shunka: *roaring*

Raphael: Eat this! *throws the grenade in the mouth*

Boys: *running off and jumps*

Shunka burst apart, and the boys overcame him. They were on the ground before they assessed Shunka after the boys defeated him. Meanwhile, Lizzie and Alaric appeared in the woods as they checked on Shunka, and two white wolves appeared and transformed back into Hope and Alyssa.

Raphael: We did it for you. *looks at Hope*

Hope: *looks at him*

Alaric: Is everything alright?

Boys: *turns around*

Andy: Shit! We're sorry, we're really sorry.

Raphael: Wait, I did it, Dr. Saltzman.

Andy: Raph, no!

Raphael: I devised a plan and followed them into the woods, where someone spotted me. Now, I'm uncertain about my next steps. She's in trouble, and I've helped her before—cause, as you said before. Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.

Boys: *hearing*

Hope: I agree with him.

Matthew: If Hope can locate her parents while they're here, we'll learn more about you and anybody else in this school. My boys and I were on the list as long as we were around.

Hope: *hearing*

Lizzie: So you're a mind-reader now, Matthew?

Matthew: We were studying together while we were stuck in this school.

Lizzie: *hearing*

Caroline: *runs to the woods* Alaric! Josie has been shot!

All: *hearing*

Meanwhile, Damon was arrested and handcuffed by the officer; some mind games are happening in Mystic Falls, as someone orchestrated Damon's arrest.
