"Alex wake up is your last day in primary school and  Dad is making a last minute call from Australia, he says is something important". Alex's mom said

Alex was nervous her dad had a big announcement and it will be her last school day with Martin during these past months she had done her best to adjust to the idea that he will leave but she just couldn't now hopefully her dad would say he was coming home.

"hello my beautiful girls I said I have big news today, we're moving the investigation to china, we think we are after something really big, we need to double check some information, I will come home as soon as I can but this is really important". Alex's dad said.

He wasn't coming home and he was moving somewhere else, what was he doing that was more important that visiting them for a day, a week?

Martin had had a though couple of months, coping of the idea of leaving his life, his world, his friends and the fact that he had magic powers, his brother and grandparents eventually found out they were less than happy, Vernie told him this was proof that I was the black sheep in the family, grandpa was mad as he thought I was sick, grandma was also a little mad but proud that at least her grandchild was special like her sister. Other than that he tried to ignore it but today his last day in a normal school he felt as if he was already taking a train far away from everything he knew.

"Mart I know you may not be feeling completely ok today, no matter what grandpa or your brother say you are not sick ok, you will see your friends and your family on vacation and we won't be like me and my parents were with your uncle, we will be your family and your friends will be your friends no matter the new changes life will take for you, go and I will let you play all summer with your friends as long as nothing weird happens ok". His dad told him.

"Thanks dad, I'll miss you so much" Martin said while hugging his father.

"So... last day, I hate to admit it but I'll actually miss this place". Maria said

"Me too". said Martin

"Are you sure you can't come with us to Smeltings in September".

Martin had enough encountered feelings as it was them insisting was just making things worse.

"I can't ok " he said as lights flickered in the room, Martin slowed his thoughts before he could blow something up this magic thing was getting weird already.

"We still have the summer". he said  more clamed and without any flickering lights.

Alex was more confused with what was happening with her friend did he make the lights flicker had she been reading too many fantasy books? she had just had some hope things could be still how they wanted it.

the science teacher was playing a documentary about mars, Martin was going to miss science class and proyectors and documentaries but he couldn't talk about that feeling to anyone. But he still had summer, the last normal summer.

Alex looked at the bored-sad face her friend had, what was bothering him after his birthday he had been fine, but today he was back in a weird mood.
"hey guys do you want to go see Endgame, I know that with all the exams we didn't have time but now we can, I told my mom to buy us tickets" Maria said.
" fine, but only because I don't want your mom to loose the money she used on those tickets" Martin said
" oh don't be such a downer, you're just going to a different school, it's not the end of the world, maybe in the film but not in the real world, come on it's gonna be fun" Maria said

Going out of the cinema Martin reflected about the movie specially the ending, the battle was awesome but he thought of the magic portals and the magic lightning hammer and axe, putting away a giant wave, he thought of using his own magic to help the world but humans and wizards, his uncle was a hero for his kind, our kind, he reminded himself, maybe Martin could be a hero for everyone.
