Chapter 47

Jack's POV

Where in the world could she be? It's already break time and Elsa and Anna haven't showed up.

I tried contacting Elsa while Kristoff contacted Anna, but sadly, no response was made.

Either way, I tried texting her like a bajillion times.... if that's even a word.

I opened my phone to check the messages between Elsa and I.

'Where are you?'

'Why aren't you responding?'

'have you been kidnaped?'

'What's the ransom?'

'Did I do something wrong?'

'are you waiting for me to fetch you?'

'Elsa, if I did do something wrong then, I'm sorry.'

'You're coming to my game later, right?'

'It starts at 3:00pm'

'I'll wait for you'

':)'

—still no response. I sighed, what happened to her? I tried calling their home but no one was answering.

"30 minutes before the game starts, Frost" the coach called me.

I sighed, we were having our first battle of basketball today and I was hoping that Elsa will stick to her promise... that she'll be there.

I entered the court and had some brofists with my other teammates. I stared at our rivals, they came from Ravenstream high. They have had been our rivals ever since I was just a freshman.

"Frost." I looked to see James Torrence, my biggest rival yet.

"Torrence.." I raised a brow.

"I'll make you eat my dust" he growled.

"I'm not hungry" I smirked at him.

"But you look awfully hungry yourself, so why don't you just spare me your dust and eat it yourself" I huffed at him.

"You know what I meant" he glared at me.

"What's going on?" A girl tugged at James's shirt, he smiled at her. It was Alexandra, his girlfriend.

"Nothing, Alex." He poked her nose making her giggle. You know, if you saw him like this, you wouldn't really think that he was a threat.

"Good luck, Frost. You're gonna need it." He smirked then walked away.

Kristoff patted my back making me stare at him

He sadly shook his head meaning that Anna, too, wasn't responding.

I can't stop worrying about her, but I can't play basketball while worrying. Focus, Jack, Focus.

Elsa's POV

"Shewd we gew hewm?(Should we go home?)" Anna asked, her mouth still filled with nutella, I laughed. The doctor only allowed us to eat Nutella now cause he insisted that we should've eaten lunch first.

"Yes, we shewd" I answered, one part because I had nutella in my mouth and the other because I was just trying to imitate her.

The nurse entered to remove   the dextrose—yes, that thing was shot into my veins— apparently, they didn't just see that fever was the cause of me fainting. I had vertigo... just great. I can't get tired or else my vision will be blurry and stuff, I can't think too much of things either.   I know, it sucks.

I glanced at the window near the hospital bed, I feel like I was forgetting something.

I winced as the nurse removed the syringe from my skin and rubbed it with cotton and rubbing alcohol.

"Ermehgewd, thet's grews (oh my gawd, that's gross)" Anna yelped as she saw the syringe.

"Don't talk when you're mouth's full." I told Anna.

"My mouth wasn't full, it was half full... or half empty..?" Anna argued after wiping her mouth.

"Let's just go home." I sighed while rubbing my hand, it hurts.

After walking with Anna —more like, Anna dragging me— we finally arrived home. Anna opened the door and almost bumped into Lucy.

"Oh, miss Anna, miss Elsa, you've arrived" Lucy smiled.

I gave Anna a look, one that says 'you-didn't-tell-them-where-we-went?' Anna just shrugged in response.

Wait.. if they didn't know that I was brought at the hospital, then...

How.

Did.

Anna.

Take.

Me.

To.

The.

Hospital?!

I don't think my sister would drag me there... or would she?

Neh... it doesn't—actually, it does—matter

"I took sir Olaf to the park for a walk," Lucy smiled "I might as well clean the rooms upstairs." she bowed and resumed her way upstairs.

I heard a bark that came from the kitchen. Anna and I peeked in to see Olaf staring at us.

"Fancy you being called sir" I giggled as Anna patted his head.

Olaf barked once more and waggled his tail, proud being called sir.

Then I just remembered something... my phone!

I ran upstairs leaving Anna and Olaf at the kitchen.

I immediately plugged the charger and waited till my phone opens up.

"Elsa, I'm making sandwiches, would you like some?" Anna yelled from the kitchen.

I checked my phone, 108 messages—not even joking—and 54 missed calls.

"Anna..."

"I'll be there in a sec." She shouted from the kitchen.

"Anna..."

"Waiiit"

"Anna...?"

"What? I'll be there in a sec."

"ANNA?!" I finally yelled out.

I heard running footsteps from the stairs and saw Anna holding a plate with a sandwich.

"Sheesh, didn't know you were that obsessed with eating the sandwich." She wiped some of the cheese from her shirt.

"It isn't the sandwich" I sighed

Anna looked like she wanted to throw the sandwich out of the window.

"Then what?"

"This."

I showed her the phone. Her mouth fell open.

"I guess that guy's rich" Anna concluded.

"Why?" I tilted my head.

"He's got that plenty of load to spend just texting and calling you." She said making me roll my eyes playfully at her.

I checked the sender and they were all from...

Mom,

No, wait.

More on Jack.

Mom only had one message.

So that makes 107 messages and 54 missed calls from Jack... wow, I salute you.

I checked mom's text.

From: Mom

Elsa dear, I heard that you're masquerade ball was coming up. I brought both you and Anna you're dresses, they should be delivered there in a couple of days. Love you lots and take care of you're sister and say hi to Olaf for me.

Masquerade? all I know us that it's supposed to be a spring festival of some sort. But well, I gotta trust mom. Besides, she's part of the family council.

Now on to Jack's text.

I clicked the messages between Jack and I most of them were:

'hey Elsa, we're at the field if you want to join us.'

'Els, you didn't go to math period, What's wrong?'

'Should have I fetched you?'

'Elsa... why aren't you responding?'

'Did I do something wrong?'

'I miss you'

'You're coming to my game later, right?'

'It starts at 3:00pm'

'I'll wait for you'

':)'

Wait...

Oh freak the game!?

"ANNA?!" I yelled again

"I'm right here Elsa! Do not scream." Anna poked my shoulder.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Eh... around 5 pm?"

Shocks

I'm dead.

"I have to get to Jack's basketball match!" I flipped.

"Let's go! We Still got time." Anna dragged me downstairs and drove to Special High.

I ran to the gym while Anna was checking on the car, I saw the people leave quite disappointed. What happened?

"What happened out there? Have you lost you're focus?! We lost because of you, so if you don't get yourself together, you're out of the team!" I heard someone yell from a corner of the gym.

"You can't just kick him out! He's practically the only chance we got since John Mark quited." I recognize that voice, right, it was the coach at Jack's basketball tryouts.

"I don't care Yvonne. Well, if you're just gonna be like that, then I'd rather risk losing you on the team!" The older coach said to Jack. Jack just stared at him.

"Coach Jim, watch you're tongue." The coach, Yvonne warned.

"What happened out there? What's the problem?" Coach Yvonne asked Jack as soon as Coach Jim left.

I walked a bit closer to them, slightly shaking because of the recent incident.

I saw Jack make eue contact with me before slowly answering "her..." then he started to walk out.

"W-wait." I nearly whispered.

Coach Yvonne looked at me thoughtfully.

"I'll leave you two." Then she walked out.

Jack turned around to face me, though he wasn't looking at me.

"Where were you?" He said in a cold, raspy voice.

"I-i was..." I couldn't speak, like my mouth couldn't move.

"I knew it. You're just like them." He said in disappointment and walked away.

"I WAS SICK FOR GOODNESS' SAKE?!" I cried. He paused but then continued to walk away.

I felt my vision blur and started to feel dizzy.

"Elsa!" I heard Anna yell.

She gasped "What's wrong?"

I haven't noticed that I was crying...

"I'm alright, Anna, I-im fine." I sighed.

But deep inside,

I knew I wasn't.

ooo, and guess what? I GOT A LOT MORE MONTHS TAH SPEND IT HERE IN THE PHILS!!! mom decided that we go to Japan next time, we're still going tho but... I STILL HAVE A LOT OF MONTHS SO YAY~!
