Chapter 56

Jack's POV

I heard my alarm clock ring making me groan. I try searching for it on my side table using my hands but I didn't feel it there.

Ugh, the sound is annoying.

I had no choice but to look for it using my eyes. They weren't there. I must've misplaced it.

"Emma." I called out, no reply.

"EMMA." I yelled a bit louder.

"Just a minute!" I heard her yell back, probably in her room.

I can't take the alarm clock anymore so I called for her once more.

"EMMA!"

"What?" She hurriedly entered my room, slightly panting.

"What took you so long?" I asked.

"I was cleaning my room," she looked around the place.

"And I suggest you do the same." She shrugged.

"Ha-ha, but it's still clean." I reasoned.

"Well, if this isn't about cleaning your room..." Emma trailed off and I rolled my eyes.

"Could you turn off my alarm clock?" I asked

"I can't find it." I shrugged.

"See? How could you possibly find anything in this mess?" Emma went to my study table then I heard the alarm clock finally ease.

"You put your alarm clock in a fish bowl?" Emma chuckled

"There wasn't any fish in there, right?" I nervously laughed.

"Yeah, Sandy's back at my room, where it's CLEAN." Emma crossed her arms.

"Almost forgot about that fella" I mumbled.

"Anyway, resume to cleaning your room. I'll be getting back to sleep." I said as I fixed myself once again under the covers.

"Hold it right there, brother."

"What now?" I groaned.

"Someone's been calling you just these past few minutes." Emma then approached my bed and remove all my blankets.

"Emma!" I whined and covered my head with a pillow.

"Get up, bro, it might be Elsa." Emma laughed.

I just smiled then faced her

"Since when did you get so mature?" I asked.

"I always was." Emma proudly stated.

"Really?" I chuckled.

"Funny, I just remembered when you cried out loud in the mall just because--"

"Brother, no need to remind me." Emma looked flushed.

"--mom didn't buy you the unicorn plush." I continued anyways.

Emma threw one of the pillows straight at my face.

"I was 5!" She whined.

"There you are." I smirked

"Huh?" She softly asked.

"The young, innocent, slightly annoying Emma." I chuckled.

"Annoyi-- what, oh, so I'm annoying?" Emma grabbed another pillow making me laugh and run out of my room.

"Very!" I yelled then ran downstairs. Emma just rolled her eyes playfully then went back into her room.

I had to go back upstairs and get my phone then checked my contacts. I had two missed calls and one message from Hiccup.

I opened the message:

"Hey, we're having lunch here at my place, you're welcome to join us." How formal.

Lucky for me, it had just been 15 minutes since he sent that message.

Wait, lunch?

I glanced at the clock and saw that it was almost quarter to twelve. I must've slept in.

I quickly grabbed my checkered polo and pants and changed in the bathroom.  

I grabbed my car keys and headed downstairs.

"Wait, you aren't eating lunch?" Mom asked as soon as I headed for the door.

"I'll eat at my friend's house." I said.

"Drive safely, then." Mom paused. "Do you know where your father is? I haven't seen him since this morning." Mom asked in a slightly worried tone.

"Well, neither have I." I shrugged.

"Bye, Love you." I hurriedly made my way out of our home and started my car.

I parked my car at one corner then decided to walk my way to Hiccup's house.

While on my way, I saw a familiar creature. It's silky black fur matched it's striking yellow-green eyes. It was running fast to my opposite direction.

"Hey, Toothless." I called but the black puppy just ran past me.

"Okay then." I shrugged then continued my way to the mansion.

Once I was at the front of their doorstep,  I rang the doorbell and waited.

"I'll get it." I distinguished the voice as Hiccup's.

And the door slowly opened, revealing Hiccup. Just as I thought.

"Jack, we've been waiting for you." He chuckled.

"Wait, you did bring food, right?" He raised a brow.

I gave him an outraged look.

"What do you mean 'bring food'?" I asked. "You didn't even inform me." I let out a sigh 

He then chuckled causing me to raise a brow.

"I was kidding, the food's inside." Hiccup said.

"And you supposed that would be funny?" I asked and Hiccup just shrugged

"Come on it was a joke." He reasoned.

"Alright, alright." I chuckled and we entered.

"Jack's here!" Hiccup yelled once we arrived the living room.

I frowned once I noticed that the girls were wiping their tears-- well, except Merida.

"What happened here?" I Chuckled.

"Well, we decided to watch a movie while waiting for you." Eugene said.

"And they picked the Titanic movie." Kristoff said.

"Then they burst into tears... good thing you already came or else they would most probably rewatch it again." Hiccup laughed.

I saw Elsa, her face slightly red. She sniffed then covered her cute button nose with a hanky then slightly smiled at me.

"And for a moment there, i thought you were blushing." I sat beside her and stretched both of my hands till my left arm was resting on her shoulders.

She laughed. "And I would blush because..?"

"Because I look hot in this checkered polo." I smirked.

"What? I can't even see you clearly." Elsa rubbed her eyes, I assume that her tears are slightly blurring her sight.

After she was finished rubbing her eyes, I cupped her cheeks using my hands then let her face me. I smiled.

"See me clearly now?" I asked.

She blushed a faint pink color, but just enough to make my smile grow wider.

She slowly smiled then nodded.

"You look adorable." She chuckled.

"You mean hot?" I corrected.

She squinted her eyes "I prefer the term 'cool' " She said.

"Jack." Hiccup called.

"The boys and I are gonna get the food from the kitchen. Mind helping?" He asked.

I just shrugged then smiled at Elsa before following the boys into the kitchen.

Kristoff and Eugene brought the food to the dining table while Hicc and I were left stacking the plates and utensils to be used.

"I haven't seen Toothless since this morning." Hiccup frowned.

"Oh, I just saw him pass me on my way here..." I trailed off then realized my fault.

"And... I just let him be." I nervously stated.

"YOU DID WHAT?!" He yelled furiously.

"YOU COULD'VE JUST TOOK HIM HERE." He got a vase and held it up high, as if he was going to hit me... oh wait, he was.

"What's taking them so long?" I heard Elsa whisper.

She opened the door and the girls and boys were watching, too.

We looked like as if Hiccup were to kill me using his expensive vase while I look like a lost dog crying for mercy. Not a very manly image.

"What're ye two doing?" Merida raised a brow, yet she seemed amused.

"We're uh... well..." Hiccup stuttered as he awkwardly placed the vase back to where it was placed.

"We were... playing charades." I excused, mentally face palming as soon as I had just said it.

Hiccup gave me the 'are you serious?' Look, and I secretly rolled my eyes.

"Err... yeah, and the first Item we had to guess was 'Jack is an idiot.' But Jack wasn't able to guess it so no point for him." Hiccup explained making me arch my brows.

"Can we join?" Rapunzel and Anna asked in unison.

I slightly smiled, thankful that they sort of bought it.

"Uh, sure. in fact, why don't you guys start the game while Jack and I look for something outside." Hiccup eyed me, signaling that I should go help find Toothless.

I sighed and we walked out of the room and made our way to the corner where I last saw Toothless, near the park.

"Toothless!" Hicc ran as fast as he could to catch up with the running black Labrador puppy.

He snatched him into his arms then faced me.

"I'm hungry, let's go." He said while I nodded, immediately pausing when I heard my phone ring.

"Wait." I said while Hiccup paused then faced me again.

"I'll just take this call." I said and he nodded.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Jack." The voice sounds awfully familiar.

"Dad?" I asked

"Yeah, listen, Jack. We found her, she's in the hospital. You gotta come here as fast as you can." Dad spoke fastly.

"Woah, what, slow down. And who's 'she'?" I asked.

"Venice, they found her sleeping at a roadside, weak and starved." He sighed. I almost dropped my phone.

"A-alright. I'll be there as soon as I can." I hung up.

"Jack?" Hiccup called.

"What's wrong?"

I hadn't noticed that I just stared at him blanky.

"Jack?" He asked again.

"They found her, Hicc." I said.

"What? Who are you talking about?"

"my late girlfriend." I barely whispered.

Hiccup's faced looked really crumpled at this moment.

"Then if she was dead, how did they find her?" He asked.

"I at least thought she was dead. But I don't know, they just... did. They found her." I stared at the ground, frowning.

Soo... E X P L A N A T I O N: Jack had a past girlfriend (I won't tell you if he loved her or not til the next chap ;) haha, sorry xc ✌) and one day she was abducted and had been claimed dead till now...

Yeah... BIG PLOT TWIST WAHAHAH.

jk, before I made this book it was already planned to be like this.

Now, One question to determine the fate of the story: happy ending (not cliche) or sad ending?

I'd just like to state that the sequel is already a sad story (well, sort of) so if you want a sad ending.. oh well.

As for the contest. I am sooo sorry but results will be dued next week promise! It's just that a LOT of people still gave me their entries T.T and seriously, I am gonna have to ask help from my other friends to judge this contest. I just didn't expect that much entries BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH ILYSM

Anyway... ON TO THE LESS SERIOUS PART OF ZE A/N.
