Luella's POV

When I left the Salvatore's mansion in Tagaytay, maraming nangyari. I thought my life was over when I woke up at the sight of a hospital's white ceiling; however, the last thing I remember is a bright light greeting me as I was driving. Seeing Klaus at the same time made me believe I was dead.

He moved to his seat and offered me a seat as soon as he noticed me get off from my unconscious state.

I looked at him in confusion. Why is he here at the hospital? What's he doing in my room? What happened to me? I wanted to ask him but chose to remain silent and stare at him.

"Kumusta ang pakiramdam mo? May masakit ba sa'yo?" concerned was written on his face as he glanced at me. Maybe he thought that I was Luna, which might explain why he's acting like this.

Nanatili akong tahimik. I was taken aback when I remembered the reason why I left the Salvatore's mansion. Siguro masaya na 'yon ngayon sa piling ni Luna. Iyon naman ang gusto niya, at hindi ako.

I smiled bitterly at Klaus. It also hurts that Luna chose Dante over Klaus. Hindi yata masama si Klaus, isa pa bakas sa kaniyang mukha na mahal na mahal niya talaga si Luna. I also see pain in his eyes. Na ayokong makita dahil nasasaktan din ako.

Lumapit siya sa maliit na lamesa katabi nitong inuupuan ko. He poured water into the glass. He handed me the glass of water and then sat beside me.

I tried to make you admit it. I even shouted at you, and I'm very sorry about that. I realized that you are not Luna. When Dante arrived, he was angry. I was a bit surprised because why are you two together? But Dante said nothing. He left, because of that, Retines found out. I also knew from him that Luna has a twin, and that is Luella Rose Jacinta, who escaped the fire in La Trinidad back then. No family left, everyone disappeared like ashes. Sorry for everything you've been through, Luella. I didn't come here to hurt you. I'm here to help you and protect you from those who want to kill you. Your life is in danger right now, Luella. You are the target of Luna's enemies. They won't be able to hurt Luna because she was under Dante's protection. Now that the organization knows that Luna has a twin, you are the one they will kill."

It felt like my chest tightened at what I heard. I found out that my tears were slowly starting to flow. The hot liquid flows down to my cheek, intensifying the pain in my chest.

"Don't worry, Luella. I'm here to protect you."

I lifted my head. I tightly clenched my fists as my eyes blurred from the tears that kept falling.

Bumigat ang aking pakiramdam. I cannot breathe well. No words are coming out of my mouth. I was just staring at Klaus while concern was etched on his face.

"Yes, Luella. Luna did that because she wanted to protect herself, and you were made to pay her sins."

It hurts.

Sarili kong kapatid, kambal, kaya akong traydurin nang ganito. Hindi ko inaasahan na gagawin niya ito sa akin. Akala ko si Dante lang ang kailangan niya, akala ko dating buhay niya lang ang kailangan niya. Ngayon na nalaman ko mismo sa bibig ni Klaus, hindi ko alam kung sino ang paniniwalaan ko.

Days, weeks, months, and years passed. My life took a different turn. I haven't been online on my social media for a few weeks. I saw Janice's post the other day that she passed, and so did Aia, who is now a doctor at the Salvatore's hospital.

Luna was the one who came to my graduation, and she was so surprised that she almost didn't take my awards when she heard my name. Mukhang nasopresa nga ang gaga.

On the same day, I found out that Dante didn't pass his law course. I thought Klaus was just joking with me back then, but he wasn't. He failed, and that's the last thing I remember before leaving the country with Klaus.

"Are you busy, babe? Mom wants to see her apo," Klaus said with a smile. Unti-unti siyang lumapit sa akin and kissed my forehead.

"In the mansion? Kailan?" I asked while adjusting the necktie around his neck. Ang tanda-tanda na hindi pa rin marunong mag-ayos ng sariling necktie. What if I'm not here? Where will this Klaus end up?

"You don't have work at the hospital? I'll pick you up after Terra and Daisy's class. Is that okay?"

"Oo naman babe. Sige na, umalis ka na baka ma-late ka sa trabaho. I will also fix up because I have something to do at the office later."

Ngumisi siya. "Mahal na mahal kita, Luella Rose!"

Natawa ako. Mahina ko siyang tinulak palabas ng kuwarto. Ang landi e.

Napanguso siya. "Wala bang mahal din kita riyan? Hindi mo na ako mahal? Ang sakit ah!"

I grimaced at what he said. "Baliw ka! Mahal din kita kaya umalis ka na baka mahuli ka sa trabaho. Susunduin mo pa ang mga bata mamaya!"

"Wait for me outside the hospital, okay? Don't bring your car."

Lumapit siya sa akin at hinalikan na naman ang labi ko, pero this time ay medyo tumagal. Naputol lamang iyon nang tumikhim siya.

Lumabas siya at tinungo ang garahe habang gumewang-gewang na parang good mood. Baliw talaga.

I smiled while watching him dance outside as he fixed his car. It's not hard to love Klaus. In our years together, I learned to love him. I thought it was impossible, but it wasn't. He fulfilled his promise to take care of me, protect me from Luna's enemies, and bring me back to life. I am grateful because the two of them came into my life, and I have nothing more to wish for. Sapat na sila.

When Klaus left, I prepared myself. I took my phone from the big table and searched for Janice's name on messenger. Hindi naman ako nahirapan dahil nakita ko kaagad. Nangunguna pa sa listahan ko.

I shook my head. I went out of the house while looking at my phone.

"Baliw talaga ang gagang 'to," I murmured.

She told me a lot about the two of them. Her and Wade. They are now married and currently living in America. She also worked there, at his husband's company.

Balita ko nakuha din siyang model sa Thread and Treasures na pagmamay ari ni Madam Hiraya. Ang taray!

I replied to her messages. Halos mga kabaliwan at kalandian niya ang pinag-uusapan namin. I also asked Aia how she was. She was now in a happy life. Still single and has no plans to get married. Sana nag-madre na lang siya kung gano'n.

When I arrived at St. Jerome Hospital. The nurses and my co-doctors greeted me.

"Ang ganda mo talaga, Madam Luella!"

I smiled faintly. "Thank you!"

Napansin kong abala ngayon ang hospital ah.

"Will your husband pick you up later, Madam?"

"Yes, Miya. May mga anak na kami kaya huwang ang asawa ko te," sabi ko habang tumatawa.

She just laughed at me. I know she was just joking, kaya hinayaan ko na lang. Gano'n lang talaga sila sa akin, nasanay na.

I entered my office and was about to sit down when my cellphone suddenly rang. Mabilis ko naman itong nilabas habang hindi tinitingnan ang caller.

"Luella, Daisy is missing!" Anita's voice on the other line. Klaus's sister, who works at High University.

The fuck!

Bigla akong nakaramdam ng kaba sa aking kinatatayuan. I hurriedly left the office while my hand trembled with fear.

"When was it, Anita?"

"Earlier at two o'clock, Luella. Her classmate said he heard that Daisy was going to the Golden View subdivision. I don't know where that is!"

Alam ko kung saan ang lugar na iyon, kaya ako na ang maghahanap kay Daisy. 'Yung batang 'yon talaga. Ang tigas ng ulo! Sabing huwag nang bumalik doon dahil ayoko siyang masaktan.

"Si Terra? Kumusta?"

"Kanina ka pa siya umiiyak, looking for her older sister. What should I do, Luella? Malilintikan ako kay Klaus kapag malaman niya!"

"Calm down. Ako na bahalag maghanap sa bata." I quickly left the hospital and headed to my car while my cellphone was in my ear.

Anita lets out a deep breath on the other line.

I put the phone on the seat and, without hesitation, started the car. I went to the Golden View subdivision, which is not far from the hospital where I work. When I arrived there, the guards didn't stop me because they already knew me. I used to live in this subdivision, but I didn't stay long because I needed a job at that time.

I went to the court and field where Daisy might go, but she wasn't there. I was looking around the place, hoping to see her. That kid is so stubborn, I've told her several times not to come back to this place because she won't gain anything from it. Dante and Luna have been gone for a long time.

I took another step and was about to turn onto the other road when I caught sight of Daisy's figure not far away. Standing in the big house, eyes wide open.

"Daisy!" tawag ko sa kaniya.
She quickly turned around. I gasped when I saw that there was no emotion on her face. She is just watching me as I approach her.

"What are you doing here? Let's go home," I said in an authoritative voice.

"Anita, I found her-" I couldn't finish what I was saying when I saw Dante and Luna inside the mansion. K-Kissing...

I froze in my tracks. Gulat ang mukha ni Luna nang magtama ang mga mata namin.

Anong ginagawa nila rito?

Naramdaman ko na naman ang pananakip ng aking dibdib. Akala ko naka-move on na ako pero bakit...

Dante...he looks happy while his eyes are fixed on Luna.

I smiled bitterly and took Daisy's hand, tears streaming down my face.

Finally, he was happy, sa piling ng iba at hindi sa akin.

Pumikit ako ng mariin, trying to stop my tears from falling, but kahit anong gawin ko ay patuloy pa rin itong dumadaloy.

I went to my car and freaking punched the steering wheel.

"What did I tell you last time, Daisy?"
She looked shocked when she saw my reaction.

"I-I'm sorry, Mama Luella. I-I heard from daddy that mommy was back that's why I came here. I'm really sorry, Mama Luella, h-hindi ko na po uulitin-"

This time nakita ko na ang totoong emosyon ni Daisy. Lumapit ako sa kaniya at niyakap siya ng mahigpit habang sinasabayan ang pait at sakit na aming naramdaman.
