Chapter Two
                      Lexi's POV

I finished packing and put my suitcase in closet, when my phone rings

                  ~Answers phone~

“Hello.”

D- Hey Lexi, change of plans….”

        ~Time skip to end of phone call~

"Ava!, come here!”

A-”Here!” She said as she ran into my room.

I laughed at her silliness and as we sat down on my bed.

“Are you packed for tomorrow?”

A-”Yep.” She said as she smiled at me, but she could till I was upset.

A-”What's wrong, sis?”

“Dad called, he won't be able to make time for the camping trip.”

A-”So does that mean we can't go?” She said before I could finish my sentence.

“He's going to drop us off at Les cadeaux non désirés (The camping sight) and then he'll pick us up.”

A-”So we'll be at Les cadeaux non désirés by ourselves for a week or two?”

“I'm afraid so.”

She sighs and lays down on my bed.

A-”We never see our Step-Dad anymore.”

“I know, but what can we do, he's alway at work *Lie*”

She sighs and walks out of my room.

"I'll never tell Ava what he does for a living."

                       ~Flashback~

SD-”Bye, I'm off to work!”

M-”Bye, good luck sweetie.”

                         *Kisses*

SD-”Bye.”  Our Step-Dad says as he walks out the door.

M-”Lexi (your name) is here!”

“Coming!”

Y/N-”Hey, Lexi.”

“Hey.”  I say as I walk out the door.

“Bye Mom!”

M-”Bye, have fun at the ice cream shop.”

    ~Time skip to the ice cream shop~

W-”That will be $7.” 

“Thank you.”  I said as I put the money on the counter, and grabbed our ice cream.

We were about to sit down at a table when someone walked in (with a gun).

SD-”EVERYBODY GET DOWN! NOW!” He said pointing his gun at everyone who was to slow.

SD-”OPEN THE CASH REGISTER!”

The scared cashier opened it and stepped aside.  He shoved all the money in a bag, and pointed the gun at the cashier.

                         ~BANG!~

The cashier fell to the ground, dead.
His mask fell down a bit just enough for me to see his face.

“Dad?” I whispered.

He stopped for a split-second, before continued walking.

“Let's follow him!” I says after the door shut

Y/N-”Are you crazy?!”

“(your name) He's my Step-Dad!”

Y/N-”You don't know that!”

“I know my Step-Dad,... and that was him.”

“So, I don't know about you but I'm following him!” I say as I run out the door.

Y/N-”LEXI!” You says as you run after me.

                       ~Time skip~

Y/N-”Why is he at a casino?”

“That's what I'm about to find out.” I say walk towards the door.

Y/N-”Lexi, we can't go in there, we're only 10!”

I ignore her and walk through the door.

W-”ID.” He says not making eye contact.

“Hi we won't be staying, I'm just here to get my Step-Dad.”

He let's us in and we walked towards a poker table.

“Dad?!”

SD-”Lexi!, (your name)!, What the h*ll are you doing here?!”

“I was right, you robbed the ice cream shop and killed the cashier, and now you're here gambling it all away!”

SD-”Who told you that?!”

“No one told me!, I saw you!, I was at the ice cream shop when it happened!”

SD-”Lexi, you don't understand…”

“Don't, I'm leaving!”

SD-”Please, Just don't tell Ava.”

“I won't.”  I say as me and (your name) walk out of the casino.

Y/N-”What are you going to do?”

“I'll keep my promise, and I won't tell Ava.” I say as we walk home.

Y/N-”But what about everyone else?”

“I'll tell mom, she can decide what's best, for us.”

                ~End of flashback~

Author's Note- Hey I got some Flashback in the chapter, I can't believe I had the dad swear, even in my book "Switching Lives" (about Cinderella and Belle) when the (evil) Step-mother swore it was in french. but if I have more swear words I will do this "*" thing where you block out some letters. Anyway, I hope you like how I did the (your name) for Lexi's friend, sorry if I put any gender for her friend and put "she" instead of "you" I just got the idea to do the (your name) thing, so I had to re-write some stuff.
