Hearts and Stars
~Taste me until, you can take no more
Let your body lie, and your hands explore
Kiss me until you can taste my heart,
Give your all to me, love me hard. ~
Romanticism had taken over Reality.
And, in the darkness of the night, as Satyakirth sat on the empty street, crutching on his knees and supporting Anirudh's neck in his arms, he too had felt the irresistible thrill of wild romanticism, perhaps for the second time in his life. His eyes were closed, his lips curved in a warm smile, and his heart full with overwhelming silence. He had opened his eyes once, witnessing Anirudh and Bondita share a kiss, and the kiss was such as if their lives depended on it. In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into a moment...
Satya had cleared his throat once again, blushing at it's futile effect on the two souls engrossed into each other.
"Arrhh..." Anirudh had broken the kiss, uttering a slow painful groan.
His pain had stirred Bondita as well.
"Where is it hurting?" She muttered restlessly making Anirudh smile.
"Everywhere!!"
"We should take him from here, Neelmoni's goons might come back."
Satya had spoken clearly for the first time, as Anirudh lifted his eyes to take a good look at the man on whose arms he had laid. His forehead narrowed in a small frown as his gaze intensified on Satya's emarald green orbs.
"I don't know you... But, thank you... Thank you for..."
Satya smiled.
"You know me, Anirudh Babu. We've met before." He slowly helped him to sit upright, making him lean on Bondita's body, as another agonizing grunt escaped Anirudh's lips.
"My suitcase... It's... It's in the car."
Satya's face had tightened at once, at the mention of his concern.
Without wasting a second, he quickly got up and ran towards Anirudh's broken car, toppled on its side.
"Anirudh Babu... There isn't any suitcase." He shouted out the words.
"Ask him to check the backseat for a red file." Anirudh strained his eyes and whispered.
"Check the back seat. Do you see any red file?" Bondita relayed her husband's words louder.
"Noo..!! There's nothing." Satya pulled his body out of the car and walked back towards the seated couple.
"How many men were there?"
"Four." Anirudh breathed the words as Satya stooped down and wrapped Anirudh's left arm around his shoulders, supporting him to stand up on one leg.
"Oh..! I can see only three here, one still unconscious... So a fourth one might have fled with..." He let out a deep sigh and helped Anirudh limp towards Bondita's car.
But, Anirudh was smiling, his thoughts probably racing like a wild race horse, or perhaps like the king of a chessboard, ready to call his 'checkmate'!
"Neelmoni Mukherjee..." He smirked,
"Now let's see how my lovestory saves the night."
His voice was very low, his grin was sinister, as both Bondita and Satya shared a questioning glance with each other.
"Now you lie down inside, quietly... Alright?"
Bondita caressed his head lovingly and Satya made him lay at the backseat, before he turned towards Bondita once again.
"Would you please grab my medicine box ?"
He pointed his finger towards the street as Bondita almost ran to fetch it.
"The other two?" Anirudh murmured first, his eyes closed and face contorted in pain. "What happened to them?"
"They are dead."
Anirudh had looked up at the speaker, as he saw the calm hardened look on Satya's emarald green eyes.
"I killed them."
He let out a soft grasp and looked down again, trying to reposition his broken knuckles.
"How did you... How did you come here?" Anirudh was sweating profusely, his words staggered.
"Motorcycle." Satya smiled, positioning his head properly on his pillowed coat.
"No... I mean... How did you know...umm... find..."
Satya stooped down and touched Anirudh's forehead, feeling the burning heat of his skin. His words were becoming disoriented, delirious, as Satya opened his coat and covered his body with it.
"Let's take you to the hospital first, alright Anirudh Babu... Then I'll tell you everything."
Satya tried to move up, but Anirudh had already held his wrist in his feeble grip.
"Take me home..." He panted.
"Satyakirth Sen... I want to go home." Anirudh's eyes were closing down, his eyelids heavy with the terrifying tiredness, his head light with the profuse blood lose.
SATYAKIRTH!!
Satya stood still, his mouth wide opened.
He had always taken pride in hiding his identity, but at that moment, although Anirudh's words had startled him, but yet his heart couldn't help but feel a renewed awe for the man laying inside the car.
Anirudh Roy Chowdhury was his idol too!

"What happened? Where are the others?" Neelmoni Mukherjee snatched the red file from the wounded man's hand, as he sank back in his chair, ripping the ribbon off to open it.
"Dead... They are dead!" The man had collapsed on the ground, his words, along with his head lurched in pain.
"And that Barrister? What about him?"
Neelmoni barked, as he ruffled the sheets inside the file.
"Dead...!" He looked down and breathed hard.
"That's good news." Neelmoni's eyes were glued on the papers.
"Now get lost and come back for your son tomorrow."
The man had left as Neelmoni Mukherjee kept the file on the table and leaned on it, skimming and scanning every paper carefully.
But what were these??
"Road tenders... Road tenders... School grant... Another freaking road tender... Arghhh...!" Neelmoni almost pulled his hair in extreme vexation as his hands fumbled on a sealed envelope.
To my Bondita... My heart... I love You..
"A love letter?? Seriously??"
He threw the envelope away, at a distance, with all the disgust he had, as his eyes burnt at the uselessness of the much coveted Red file, it's content scattered infront of him.
"Disgusting!! Absolutely disgusting!!" He growled loud like a mad demented soul, banging his head on his fist frantically.
"Why? You got what you wanted."
Raimoti's calm voice made him look up.
She looked pale, very pale... and was standing at the door, with the envelope in her hand, but the heart-shaped cutout making him lose his mind.
"Shut up... Just shut up!" He shouted at his daughter.
"So you killed him Neelmoni Mukherjee, you have finally... Successfully killed him!! She paused to take a breath, "and today, I'm officially ashamed to be born as your daughter."
Neelmoni gritted his teeth at his daughter's words.
"Ashamed?? I'm ashamed of you too... You useless girl! It was a mistake to open your door..." He picked up a round glass paper weight from the table and threw it at her, missing her only by an inch.
"Get lost... Just get lost from my sight!"
Raimoti had already left, ignoring her father's screams, as she walked unsteadily towards her room. Her hands had clutched the handmade envelope, all hearts and glitters, close to her bosom and her eyes poured tears of agonizing ache that her heart had borne.
"Bondita... I'm so sorry Bondita... So so sorry!" She too, had collapsed down on the floor, her body trembling, and the envelope buried under her face, with all its hearts and glitters, hopes and tears...
The eventful dark sky witnessing all the sadness, and reunion, had finally decided to draw the curtain of conclusion that night.
It was a temporary conclusion, as the night too, knew that newness of the day would come with promises, promises to give back all that was taken, and to take back all that was given, and that's how the balance of humanity would prevail.
Good bad, right wrong... nothing happens by chance, by fate, as you create you own fate by your actions, and that's what Karma is all about!!
