"The first day of high school, *sigh* here I come." I said to myself before walking in to this new school that I'll be staying at for awhile. My parents sent me to a different high school since at the last school I was bullied everyday single because I was gay and I would get beaten up so bad that my parents thought it was a good idea to send me to a new school to "start over." And great just great, they also have dorms here too.

When I walked in people stared at me. I felt uncomfortable so I quickly ran out of there as fast as I could. While trying to get out of there I heard people talking and laughing at me but I was used to it already so I pushed it aside and went to go the principal office. Great, I just had to come during the middle of the year. "Principles office, principles office, oh, there it is." I said and went in. "You must the new transfer student Meng Yao right?" He Asked. "Yes, that's me." I said politely. "Ok good then. Here is your schedule." The principal said handing me my paper. "Thank you sir." I said and bowed ninety degrees. "Oh, you don't have to be so formal. You can just say thank you." He said. "Ok sir." I said and stepped out of his office.

"Ok, class 102 is my first class then class 206 is my next class which is on the second floor and my dorm room is 496 and-"

"Ow! Watch where your going!" The guy from his friend group said and pushed me onto the ground. "Pathetic." He said walked away laughing with his friends. I watched them as they walked away. "Are you ok?" Someone asked me. I looked up and saw a small boy who's probably tall as me but just a little shorter and his face was covered with white powder and along with reddish and pinkish powder layering his white powder that covered around his eyes making him look like a ghost. His nails was also colored black and his hair was tied like a bun but also like a ponytail. He had red lipstick on and I notice that he had some bruises and cuts on his face, hands and wrist including his neck a little as from what I see.

"Here, let me help you." He said and helped me with my stuff.

"I'm Mo XuanYu and you?"

"Oh, I'm Meng Yao." I said as I stood up with my stuff. "By the way, who were those people?" I Asked. "Oh, their seniors. If I were you, I would stay clear of their way or else they might hurt you." XuanYu said. "Is this your first time here?" He asked. I nodded. "Oh sweet! I'll get to show you around the school!"

After showing me around a little bit we decided that he'll show me the rest of the school later. "What's your first class?" XuanYu Asked. "Math." I said. "Oh really? Same! Let me look at your schedule." I handed my paper to XuanYu and his eyes lit up with fireworks in them. "I have all my classes with you except for one of the classes I'll be gone for half of it though." XuanYu said with disappointment. "At least we have all our classes together!" I happily said feeling grateful that we at least have all our classes with each other.

When we got to math everyone looked at XuanYu disgustedly. I ignored them. "You must be the new student Meng Yao If I'm correct right." The teacher asked me. "Ummm, Yes, that's me." I said bowing a little. "Well, why don't you introduce yourself." The teacher said. "Its no need. I'll just sit please." The teacher reluctantly agreed and told me to sit next XuanYu. When I sat down and looked over at his desk I saw that there was nasty things written on it.

I took XuanYu's hand and held it. "I'm fine. I'm used to it." He said but his eyes tells me otherwise.

Suddenly the door opened. "Oh my god it's Xichen!!!" All the girls squealed. I covered my ears from bleeding and that Xichen walked towards me and sat next to me. I didn't bother him after all I don't even know him.

"Finally lunch time~ I'm so hungry right now." I said. "I know a place where we could eat peacefully." XuanYu said and dragged me by my hand.

"I didn't know such a beautiful place like this was at the school." I said while admiring all the beautiful flowers. "I know right? Isn't it beautiful!" XuanYu said as he sat down next to me admiring the garden with me. "Look! It's a bunny." XuanYu said picked the bunny up. "Here you go little bunny~" XuanYu said happily feeding the little bunny.

We decided to go back a couple minutes early and while we were walking through the door I notice the students around us were giggling. I then saw a bucket with something in it but it was too late to tell XuanYu to stop so I pushed him out of the way and water was poured all over me. "Meng Yao!"

XuanYu ran to me. "I'm ok." I said as I was about to walk away. "Let me guess your gay too huh." I stiffened at the question. "Weather I'am or not it's none of your business." I said calmly as I took XuanYu by the hand and was about to walk away when suddenly I was pinned against the wall. "Don't you dare talk back to me." The same guy from earlier said and threw me to the ground. I held all my tears in and got up running away. I could hear all those voices again. All those mean laughs and all those mean words...I'll kill them all. "Meng Yao are you ok?!" I snapped out of my thoughts. I leaned my head against the wall as I sinked to my knees.

I cried. For a long time in forever I cried.

Just kill them all. Kill those peasants who dares stop you. Just take the knife and kill them all. Those who mistreated you should just be killed.

"Let me go!!" I shouted as I stood up. I immediately realized what I had just said and saw XuanYu looking at me while trembling in fear. "I'm sorry for scaring you like this, but it's been so long since I've cried." I said and wiped my tears away. "It's ok." XuanYu said pulled me in for a hug.

Later that night me and XuanYu had to depart because we were on different floors. A couple days earlier my parents arranged people to move my stuff and everything I needed in already so when I got my dorm my room would be all ready to go. But the stupid thing is I have to share the room with my roommate.

When I entered the room it was quite and dark. I entered my room and saw that my roommate hasn't come yet. That was a good thing. I took a shower and finally I put on my pajamas. I brushed my teeth and washed my face then I was off to sleep.

Suddenly the door opened.

Isn't he that guy from earlier? What was his name again? Xichen or something?

"Oh, you must be my new roommate." He said kindly. "Yeah that's me." I responded. "My name is Xichen and you are?" "I'm Meng Yao."

"Nice to meet you Meng Yao! I hope that we can be good friends." Xichen said smiling and went into the bathroom. I felt my heart skip a beat. "Stop it heart, don't be like this!" I scolded my heart. There's no way I like him or anything right?

The next day
"What are you guys doing?!" I said pushed the girls away. "XuanYu are you ok?" I said and helped him up. "I'm fine." He said as tears rolled down his cheeks. "Your not fine at all." I said wiped his tears away. "Look at Who it is. The faggot and his boyfriend ahahahahaha!!"

XuanYu got up and tried to walk away but he was pinned against the wall. I tried to push the guy away from XuanYu but I failed. They held me to the ground as they punched XuanYu in the face. Tears flooded down my cheeks as they kept on hitting XuanYu. Suddenly they all froze. "Let him go."

That voice...

"What are you all doing." Xichen said coldly. "Let them both of them go Damien." Finally that Damien guy loosened his grip on Mo XuanYu and walked away with his gang following behind him. "Are you both ok?" He asked. "I'm used to it already it's fine." XuanYu said. "Thank you for saving us Xichen we'll be going now."

"Your injured." Xichen said.

Xichen helped patch XuanYu up and we decided to leave school all together.

Xichen Pov
After I helped the Mo XuanYu and Meng Yao we decided to leave school together. We decided to go to a cafe and hangout there. Even after all these years your still the same old Meng Yao.

Flashback
3rd person Pov
"Because Of you! Because of you my son is like this!"

"Please calm down Mrs.Meng. Xichen is just a kid."

"Just a kid? Just a kid? Have you seen my son! He's injured! Because of your son!"

"Xichen is innocent. You cannot blame him for this."

"Get him out of my house!"
The women yelled in anger. "Come on Xichen, you won't be seeing your friend anymore."

"But mommy I don't want to leave him." The little boy said. "I know but later you'll see him again ok?" The women said softly picking her child up and left.

They went to the hospital for one last time before the little boy leaves forever. "Mommy I want to give him something before we go." Xichen said. "What is it honey."

When they got to the hospital the little boy put a little note and a necklace on table. "Mommy do think he'll like it." Xichen asked and looked at the note for one last time.

"Anyway, let's go hangout somewhere else to get to know each other more." Meng Yao happily said and that smile threw me over edge, god I love that boy way too much. I suppressed my big smile and only smiled a little bit. "Sure but where we go to next." I said but then Mo XuanY spoke up. "But what if someone from school was skipping too and saw you with us? Won't that ruin your reputation?" He asked.

"Who said this was about my reputation. I like you guys, you guys are fun and easy going. I don't see why people don't hangout with you guys more." I answered back, "And so, if someone saw me, I would simply say that I was hanging with my friends. What's the problem with that. Don't think so much about reputation." I said and sipped my drink.

"Your right, I shouldn't think so much about reputation." Mo XuanYu said. "What about the amusement park?" I said as the idea suddenly popped up in my head. "You know what, why not!"

While walking to class someone covered my mouth dragged me into an empty classroom. "What are you doing?!" I tried my best to yell but it was no use. "Don't you dare speak another word." Damien said and grabbed my hair. "Let's see what our little slut can handle eh?" Damien said as his friends enters the classroom lighting with Mo XuanYu all bruised up.

While walking with Lan Zhan I saw Damien and his friends laughing. That morning Meng Yao has left early so I couldn't walk with him. I saw Damien's hands were covered in blood. Me and Lan Zhan hid in behind the wall. "Hahahaha! You sure beat the hell out of that faggot Mo XuanYu! I'm pretty sure their both dead already!"

I held my fists in anger. Just you wait Damien.

When they left I quickly ran into the room Damien and his friends came out of. There I saw Meng Yao covered in bruises and blood. "Help Mo XuanYu and I'll help Meng Yao."

I can't lose him yet. Just hold on for a while longer please Meng Yao!

"We need a Doctor right now!!!" I shouted as I stormed into the hospital with Meng Yao in my arms unconscious. In the next second nurses came out and took Meng Yao and Mo XuanYu to the emergency room. I sat in the waiting nervously. Suddenly more nurses came running into Meng Yao's room. I stood up in a panic. "Xichen." I was stopped by Lan Zhan. "Wait." He said and I sat down again.

My heart completely stopped when I heard that beeping machine go into a nothing but now a long beep. My whole world turned upside down. My head was spinning and I rushed into Meng Yao's room. I saw it. I saw the heart beats going into a thin line.

Tears started to fall down my cheeks. "Meng Yao!!!" I shook Meng Yao's lifeless body. "Why won't you wake up! I still have so much to tell you! I still have to tell you that I... love you..."

"Wake up please?" I shook his lifeless body once more. "Wake for me?" I said as more tears rolled down my cheeks. "Gege...he has passed. We have to let him go." Lan Zhan said as he enters the room.

"I still have so much to tell him."

"Don't worry. I'll put that bastard in jail for sure." Lan Zhan said as he left the room.

It was raining cats and dogs but people still attended his funeral including me and Mo XuanYu. Me and XuanYu looked at each other.
"Let's place our flowers down."

I placed the small simple white flower down. In people's eyes a small simple flower was nothing but to me it was a sinble of love.

I stood there for hours refusing to leave.

"Gege. It's time to go home."

Four years later
After four years I finally came to see you. "Did you miss me?" I Asked the grave stone in-front of me. I placed a small simple white flower in front of it like four years ago. "So I see I'm not the only one who came back after four years." A familiar voice spoke. I turned my head and saw Mo XuanYu. He has changed a lot. He got skinner and paler. "How have you been all these years?" I Asked. "I was diagnosed with depression after Meng Yao's death. I blame myself for what happen that day, that day where he lost his last breath before finally closing his to never be awakened again"

Mo XuanYu's voice was weak and lifeless. His eyes were dull but you could see great pain in them. He had dark circles visible and looked as if he was a zombie. "If I hadn't helped Meng Yao that day I would've been the one to be killed instead." He said and sadly smiled.

I miss him too.
