It's Monday and I am here with the Epilogue of this story🙂🙂. My sincere apologies for the delay as I was caught up with my work.

Without further ado here it is.

"Bhabhi, she's at it again" said a disgruntled Nikki as she came of out her room complaining to Sonakshi who was in the kitchen preparing the lunch, in her hand Nikki held a few empty bottles of nail paint seeing which Sonakshi slapped her head in frustration.

"My god, I don't know what's with this girl. How many times I have told her not to use nail paints for filling colors in her drawings, yet she never listens to me" she said coming out of the open kitchen into the living room of the house, anger and irritation clearly visible on her face.

"Ahana, Ahana where are you?" she called out but there was no response "Ahana, I am calling you for the last time. Where are you?" she said again but was met with silence, she was about to go for searching her when Ishwari came into the living room.

"What's the matter Sonakshi? Why are you calling out for Ahana and what's the matter, why do you look angry?" she asked in a concerned tone but before Sonakshi could reply it was Nikki who responded.

"Maa, Look Ahana once again used my Nail paints for painting her drawings" she said making a sad face as Ishwari chuckled and replied "Nikki, She's just a kid. And how many times I have asked you to keep your make up accessories in such a place where the kids do not get access to it yet each time you do the same mistake" she scolded Nikki who sulked but Sonakshi on the other hand was looking keenly at Ishwari's saree especially the Pallu of the saree which was spread wide as if someone was hiding behind it.

"Maa, who's that behind your Pallu?" asked Sonakshi suspiciously as Ishwari stuttered a bit "What...No..No one's there Sonakshi" she stammered increasing her suspicion as she moved towards Ishwari and moved aside her saree only to find a 4-yr old girl covering her face in the hope that her mother does not see her, her hands and face covered with nail paint. The girl was none other than AHANA, Dev and Sonakshi's four-year-old daughter.

"Ahanaaa..." said Sonakshi as she was about to scold her but Ishwari moved in between them hiding her granddaughter behind her as she said "Sonakshi, don't scold my granddaughter, she's just a kid, it's Nikki's mistake that she cannot take care of her things even after growing up" she said protecting Ahana as well as trying to shift the blame on her own daughter.

"Maa, this is not fair. You protect her every time and she's getting naughtier day by day" said Sonakshi as Ishwari chuckled looking at Ahana who gave her a toothy grin "Sonakshi, after all I am her grandmother, so I do have some right to spoil my granddaughter. Isn't it?" she said with a smile as Sonakshi smiled nodding her head in defeat, she could never win an argument with her mother-in-law especially when it was a matter concerning her grandkids.

"And by the way just look at the drawing she has drawn, I am sure even you will like it" she said and asked Ahana to get her drawing which she did, as Sonakshi saw the drawing a smile broke on to her face, slight tears glistened her eyes.

It was a drawing of all the family members, kind of a group photo having each member of the Dixit house with HAPPY FAMILY written at the top of it as Sonakshi looked at her daughter asked "It's beautiful dear" as she caressed her cheeks while the grinned, Sonakshi continued "But how come you got the idea to draw our family today" she asked.

"Mom, actually I saw that there was not a single photo with our whole family in it so I thought to draw one and then we can frame it" she said innocently as everyone looked at her lovingly "Aww...You are so cute my dear" said Nikki as she pulled little Ahana's cheeks but the little girl frowned at her Aunt.

"Bua, how many times should I tell you that do not call me cute" she said wiping her cheeks while everyone chuckled as Ahana continued "I have drawn another drawing, you want to see?" she asked Nikki who nodded her head in agreement as Ahana brought her other drawing, it was of a small rat but the head was replaced by that of a human head, precisely a girl's head which looked familiar.

"Aww, It's good dear but why have you drawn a girl's head on top of a rat's body?" asked Nikki as Ahana responded "That's you Nikki bua. Dad calls you CHUHIYA right? So it's my gift for you" she said as she pulled Nikki's cheek coloring her with the nail paint that was stuck to her hands while Nikki's mouth turned into a perfect 'O' listening to her niece who ran away without giving a chance for her aunt to react as Sonakshi and Ishwari laughed seeing Nikki's reaction.

"Oh my god Bhabhi, what naughty kids you have given birth to" huffed Nikki increasing their laughter as Ishwari "Nikki, you were no less" she said and turning towards Sonakshi she continued "By the way talking about Naughty kids, where's the other one?" asked Ishwari but before Sonakshi could reply they heard someone speak.

"I am here Dadi" said a 4-yr old boy seated on the shoulders on a man who seemed to be in his mid-sixties as everyone looked towards the direction of the voice. While Ishwari and Nikki smiled, Sonakshi frowned looking at the boy.

"Advait, how many times did I tell you not to sit like that on Dadu's shoulders, it will pain him naa" she said scolding him while the boy looked down towards his grandfather who spoke "Sona beta, it's not a problem" he said as Sonakshi sighed disappointedly.

"Dad, you and mom are spoiling these two" she complained as both chuckled while Ishwari helped the little boy get down as he went towards Nikki.

"Hey beautiful, I have a gift for you" he said as Nikki replied "Adi, you are my favorite, now give my gift" she said as the boy replied, "Not like this, first close your eyes" he said as Nikki closed her eyes as he placed the gift on her hand and asked her to open her eyes.

As soon as Nikki opened her eyes she screamed "Mummyyy....." as she threw the gift away and jumped on the sofa while the boy along with his grandparents guffawed loudly while Sonakshi wondered what all the fuss was about, it was then she saw the gift that her son had given to Nikki, it was a toy lizard.

"Advait, Is that..." she said about to scold her son when Ishwari interrupted "Sonakshi, I will give the kids a bath" she said and hurriedly took her grandson along with her saving him from his mother's anger.

"Bhabhi, what did you eat during pregnancy that these two are so naughty and I will always become the target of their pranks" said Nikki sulking while her father laughed "That's because they love you the most beta" he said wounding his arm around his daughter's shoulder who just nodded her head as the duo headed to Nikki's room for some father-daughter talks.

As the duo retreated Sonakshi thought back to the past seven years of her life, it was nothing less than adventurous, blissful and what not. She had gone through a myriad of emotions these seven years as her thoughts went back to the day when they had confessed their love.....

After they had confessed their love the marriage of Dev and Sonakshi was held in a grand manner. A week after the marriage they went back to America to wind up their works their as they had decided to shift permanently to India, even Bijoy decided to shift back to India as he had no one else apart from his daughter and now Son-in-law who treated him as his own father. After 3 months they had shifted back to India permanently. Initially it was though for Sonakshi to adjust with Dev's family given the diverse background and environment she had grown up in but slowly she made a place in the hearts of every member of the family.

Dev meanwhile with the help of Jatin set up a Computer institute in Delhi which gave the initial level of training to students but slowly in a couple of years it was well established while Sonakshi decided to open her own boutique just she had in the US, it was difficult initially for both but with each other's support they had sailed through.

After 2.5 years of their marriage they were blessed with twins, AHANA & ADVAIT doubling their happiness, they had brought a house in Delhi after 4 years of their marriage. Nikki inspired by Sonakshi had decided to pursue her career in fashion designing and joined Sonakshi's boutique after her studies and stayed with them in Delhi. The elder Dixits lived in their village but every couple of months they visited their son and Vice versa. Elena in the meantime had shifted to India as well and married Vicky who by now had turned into a decent man and did a job as a sales manager in Delhi while Elena worked with Sonakshi.

"What are you thinking?" said a person nuzzling into Sonakshi's neck holding her from the back bringing her out of her thoughts as Sonakshi realized who it was, it was none other than Dev, the love of her life as she was lost in his touch.

"Nothing" she replied but immediately pushed Dev away "What are you doing Dev, mom and dad in the other room"

"So what, I am romancing my own wife, not neighbor's" he said earning a whack on his shoulder from Sonakshi who said "Dare you even think about that" as Dev neared her and pinned her to the wall in the kitchen.

"Possessive, Haan?" he said as Sonakshi wound her hands around his neck and said "Absolutely" and before he could realize smashed her lips into his shocking Dev initially but then he gave in as both engaged themselves in a soul searing kiss forgetting the surroundings.

"Uhuu...Uhuu.." someone coughed bringing them out of their reverie as both turned to look at who was it.

"This is the kitchen guys, get a room" said the person who was none other than Jatin who had arrived for the lunch along with Natasha, Sonakshi's best friend and now his wife. Two years after Dev and Sonakshi's marriage they had married after love blossomed between them and now they were parents to a 3-year old girl Naisha who was born a year and half after their marriage.

"There's something called as the door Jatin, which one needs to knock before entering" said Dev while Jatin just ignored his friend. Natasha made her way into the kitchen to meet Sonakshi while Dev came out to meet Jatin after which they settled in the living room.

"So Jatin, How's life going on?" asked Dev as Jatin ranted "Don't ask Dev, Natasha is becoming a child day by day" he said as Dev replied amused "Why what's the matter?"

"You know her habit of keeping bets right, it's getting weirder by the day" he said unknown to him, Natasha and Sonakshi had come into the living room and were standing behind him, Dev was about to signal him to stop but Natasha gestured him not to as she wanted to hear what Jatin was going to say.

"You know the other day she had a bet with the colony kids that she will break the window of the neighbor's house while playing cricket and if she could not that then I will treat them all with their favorite food prepared by me" he said as Dev kept quiet trying to control his laughter and then slowly asked "Then, then what happened?"

"The very thing which I feared she lost the bet and I had to prepare the food for the kids. Sometimes I don't know whether Naisha is a kid or Natasha is one" he said as Dev burst out laughing while Jatin glared at her but before he could react he felt a hand hit the back of his head and as he turned he was left shocked, Natasha's expressions clearly suggested that she had heard him.

"So I am a kid huh...?" she huffed angrily as Jatin stammered "No...No baby....I was just saying....yes I was telling Dev what a wonderful wife you are" he tried to salvage the situation but Natasha would have none of it as she ran behind him with a stick while he ran "Baby..I am sorry...Huh...I am sorry" he pleaded while Dev and Sonakshi were laughing uncontrollably, the commotion outside made everyone come out of their rooms.

Ishwari stopped the fight after Jatin asked for forgiveness, after some time Elena and Vicky along with Bijoy joined for a hearty lunch after which they had taken a family photo as insisted by the kids post which everyone left for their respective places

It was night, after making the kids sleep Sonakshi stood at the window gazing into the night sky as Dev came from behind and hugged her.

"I love you" he said turning her face he pecked her lips as Sonakshi replied "I love you too"

"What were you thinking?" asked Dev as Sonakshi replied "Nothing much, just was thinking how life is a roller coaster of emotions right?" as Dev nodded his head in agreement.

"Yes, It is but you know what's constant in all this?" asked Dev as Sonakshi replied "What?"

"Our love, Our love is constant" he said as Sonakshi nodded in agreement while both joined their foreheads at the same time and said "OUR UNSPOKEN LOVE is constant"

AUTHOR's NOTE:

So this story has finally ended, it's actually a very bitter-sweet moment for me. While I feel sad that this is my 3rd story which has come to an end but on the flip side of it I feel really happy that along the way I had the chance to interact with so many wonderful readers.

To be very frank when I started writing this FF I was not sure of how the response to this would be as it was not really something exciting or dramatic but I am overwhelmed with the love and support my lovely readers have given to this one, writing this one would not have been possible without the support of you guys, Thank you very much.🙂🙂🙂
