"Hey Alan!" Taylor called. "What?" Alan turned back, "You know that this is a scary movie right?" "So?" "You know how scared I get around those kinda movies" "Don't worry you'll jump on Gabe's body it's comfy by the way" "Hey that's not funny!" Gabriel scowled. Alan heard a buzz. He drew his phone from his pocket and answered the call.

"Hey Mom!"

"Where are you?"

"On our way home.... Is there anything want me to pick up?"

"Yes, pass by your aunt's house and take something for me"

"Okay, Bye"

They went to his aunt's place. "You came for it" Alan's aunt said brushing her dark blonde hair off her face she was making salad. "Yes" "Okay... I have prepared your birthday gift..... You are gonna love it" "I hope I do" Alan replied with a smile. She finished and hesitated then said" Has your mother told you the truth?" The word truth penetrated into Alan's brain. And triggered a strange feeling in him. Alan had an average body." What truth?" " About your-"." Alan! Your Mom is calling again". Alan picked up.
"Mom I have already taken it I'm coming I'll be there in 10 minutes"
"Okay hurry and don't open it"
"Okay...." Alan hung up with a beweirded look. It's not even that important. He thought. When he turned to his aunt she still had the concerned and hiding-something look. "Aunt what's that you wanted to tell me?" "Nothing.... you'll find out soon" She said and took a package sealed with paper glue. I wonder what's in it. He thought. "Okay. See you later! Aunt Clare Don't forget to come to my birthday party" "I wouldn't dare miss it! " She said watching Alan and his friends walked out then sighed and said "You need to know this Alan or else it will become more dangerous".

"Alan go help out your mom" Alan's father said. "But dad James isn't doing anything he should go help out!" "Alan he can't do it alone" "Okay." Alan went downstairs but when he passed near the kitchen he got the same feeling, He stopped walking and looked at the kitchen.... He saw the package. What's so special about this package that is making my senses tingling? Mom wouldn't mind me opening it. Just a quick peek.

He tiptoed to the kitchen and raised his hand to open the package. "I told you to help me not opening the package!" His mother said breathing frantically. "Sorry mom got carried out.... What's in this package anyway?" "None of your business" His mother said while taking the package which was wrapped in cardboard paper. "Now.... Will you help me?" "Okay" Alan carried the stuff for his birthday party. "It's getting late we need to make the preparations!". Finally, Alan got prepared for his birthday party. He wore a cool white T-shirt written "THE BIRTHDAY BOY STRIKES AGAIN!" in orange letters and a Crazies jeans. While finishing up in his room Taylor called.
"Hey! What's up?"

"We are on our way to your house"

"What?"

"What's wrong?"

"Why have you said that?"

"Say what?" "The time is near"

"Are you crazy? I haven't said anything have you guys said anything?"

"Strange.... Anyway I'm about to go downstairs the party is about to begin"

"Okay" She hung up and Alan went downstairs. "There's my birthday boy... You look good" His mother said. "Thanks mom you are dashing too" and it was true. Alan's mother had wore a nice red dress and had waved her dark brown hair and his father had wore a nice green T-shirt and denim jeans. Alan stole his father's look because both had brown eyes and black hair.They were all African American. James had black hair like his and brown eyes. He was 16. And Alan was turning 18. The party had been enveloped by guests and Alan's friends.

People drank, Gave Alan gifts congratulated him, Laughed and drank and ate with him. Cake time had reached and everyone was there to sing Happy birthday to Alan. His cake was a chocolate red velvet cake. He blew the candles. While blowing the feeling triggered again making him feel slight dizzy. "Are you okay?" his mother rushed to him. He wondered too but ignored it. This was like his 50th time he was ignoring it ever since his 13th birthday he was getting strange feelings and visions in his dream.

But he didn't dare tell anyone even his friends but the strange thing was the voice he heard while talking to Taylor. And now this feeling triggered even more when he blew the candles. "Mom... I'm okay, Guess being upgraded to 18.0 took away most of my energy" This made everyone laugh then they continued giving him gifts and congratulating him. "Alan come" When he went over to his mother he was given mango juice "Have a drink" "Mom I'm full" "Please" "Okay mom just for you" He took the glass but when he was about to drink it a sharp headache got him making him drop the glass. Then it dulled. "What was that for!? Ouch!" He was holding his temples. His mother rushed to him "Are you okay?" "I'm okay it was a sudden headache" But his mother wasn't at all relieved she forced to hide the tears but then she decided to let the floods flow. "Mom what's wrong" "It's too late Jack there's nothing I can do he has already turned 18 and it's almost midnight!" She was crying now and Alan's father was hugging her while comforting her. "Mom, Dad what's going on?" And it came to him again.... The feeling.... It came with such force that it made him see things blurry and glitch. He ran to his room. And locked the door the feeling was making him feel uneasy and dizzy to the extent that he started screaming but people couldn't hear him because of the loud music. The lights started flashing on and off. And his eyes flashed with green color. The feeling increased.... He couldn't scream anymore he wasn't able to do it the feeling was overwhelming. Then his chest started shining with green energy which was collecting inside his chest then it spread out like bomb. Lights went off then on. Alan's mother's eyes turned yellow then back to normal. "Oh no....... They are unlocked" She rushed to Alan's bedroom but it was locked she turned her eyes yellow and the door swung open they found Alan on the floor, eyes closed. "He's passed out... It has already happened" Alan's dad carried him to his bed that's when he opened his eyes. "Dad, Mom what's happening to me.... What's wrong with me? Tell me please" "Alan...... You are not a normal human being, You have magical powers. You are not a witch or wizard but...... You are An Element..." " Element of what?" "You have so many powers and a person who is that powerful is only one... An Element which is you. But......" "But what?" "You weren't supposed to find out until you turn 21 you will be able to control them but I knew your powers are going to be unlocked today but I gave you the potion... I guess the powers didn't want you till 21 but..... It's dangerous because your powers contain darkness in them and you can become a Dark Mage". "What's a Dark Mage?" "An evil being that can wipe out anything in existence when you become evil you will be a Dark Mage and I don't want to let that happen" " Don't worry mom am not evil" "But darkness can be convincing" " No force of evil is strong against good" " Let's hope for the good.. And I swear we will do anything to keep it from grasping you" Alan got up "Let's get back to the party" " Are you sure you are okay?" " I am not dead so.... I'm okay". His parents smiled and they all went back to the party. "Where were you birthday boy?" Chris said."I had to go somewhere.....Anything new?" "I have the latest gossip!" Emily said after bumping into Chris. "Would you be careful six eyes!?" Chris snapped. "Can't help it I have gossip! Sorry!" "What's the gossip?" "Jason was boasting about the party" "What?" "Yeah! He's at the backyard" "Well that idiot just messed with my brain". Alan went to his backyard and found Jason talking to some of the people. "You call this turning 18 party? I don't think so" "Well throw yours" Startled by the presence of Alan he smirked and said"I will.. Don't worry about it you could've deserved my gift but since the party's lame I take that as a no" Alan was furious and Jason liked it. He enjoys you being angry.... Use your powers... Kill him!. It's the inside voice. I should best avoid it.. I know how to deal with him. He thought. "Who needs a gift from a SlappyDummy like you?" "What? A dummy huh? Takes one to know one" "Yeah. But not a SlappyDummy.... The name Jason Davis reminds of a creature in The Boogeyman movie" "Oh yeah well yours reminds me of-" "You being a dummy? I thought so" Alan said then turned and started walking back inside "Hey! I'm not done with you!" "I think I'm done". Jason was getting angry and he charged at Alan with full strength but Alan automatically stepped off his path and Jason was caught off balance then fell down hard that's when people started laughing at him he got up his face was showing embarrassment.

He got up and walked away. Alan went back inside "That was to die for! It was epic... You just blacked him out" "I know right? I just showed him who the birthday boy was" Alan's friends laughed. He then turned to his parents who were busy talking with Alan's aunt then he smiled. A cold gust of wind hit his face making him close his eyes that's when he got that strange feeling again like the time is slowing down and the world is spinning.

That's when he heard....... Your powers are unlocked you belong to the dark. You are our Dark Mage come to us-. "Alan!" He opened his eyes. "Sorry...... I was thinking about something" "What's that?" "Nothing really" "Okay we should go join others... People are dancing!" And people were dancing to the music. After 10 mins. Everyone started pouring out of Alan's house and left the Jacksons cleaning the house. "Was this the truth you were talking about aunt?" Alan asked after sitting down. "Yes dear..... I'm sorry we didn't get to tell you but it was for your own good" "Too late, I know everything now aunty" Alan said with a smile. His parents looked at each other and shook their heads.

"Do you have powers too aunt?" "Yes" "Can you show me?" Alan brightened up. "Okay" Then she closed her eyes and Alan found himself sitting on a bench at a certain park and then he disappeared and found himself at the top of the Eiffel Tower. Then back home. He was breathing frantically but then calmed down and muttered "Wow.... That was amazing let's do it again!" "No" "Please" "No I'm tired I need some sleep but you can do it... You just don't know how but you'll know soon" She then kissed Alan goodbye and said goodbye to Alan's parents then left. Alan started opening his presents, "I will finish up tomorrow goodnight mom and dad" "You too dear" they said and continued cleaning up. James had gone to sleep early.

Clare was walking but she sensed someone following her she then stopped walking she was at the middle of the street just a couple of houses and she would be at her house. "I know it's you Klarina, what do you want" Then a woman with a black hooded dress walked out from her hiding and said " The Element has found out about his powers which is a good thing" " Don't even dare!" Clare said as her eyes turned blue. "So... You want to try me? Okay" The woman said then her eyes turned red she then removed her hood revealing her wavy blond hair that fell to her shoulders. " This secret you're keeping from him will be revealed one day soon and I will make sure I do it" "I know you want him to turn to his evil side but you're wrong" "Oh really..... We'll see" She then started glowing with red fire, Clare then started glowing with blue fire and they both charged at each other. Clare yelled "I will protect him and make sure he doesn't know until the right time reaches!".
