Matthew Hood rushed down the stairs. He didn't want the two men to see he was crying. After coming out onto the street, he looked behind him to see whether they were following him. He didn't see anyone. Relieved, he started walking. He wiped away his tears and then lit a cigarette. There weren't a lot of people on the street at this late hour. He decided he'd better not delay his work. He took out his cell phone and dialled a number. A scrambled voice on the other line picked up.

'Hood?'

'Circuit.'

'Yes?'

'Is this line secure?', asked Matthew.

'Yes it is.'

'Good, I need your help.'

'It better be something important.'

'It is. I NEED INFORMATION.'

'Right now?'

'As soon as possible.'

'Alright, what do you need?'

'I need you to gather what The Turners have been up to, namely, strangers they talked to, who called on them in their house in recent times, you get the idea. Do this for both of them, with SPECIAL EMPHASIS on Cassie Turner.'

'What? Are you crazy? AGAIN? After what you've done?'

'Will that be a problem, Circuit?'

'I can't do this.'

'YOU OWE ME, Circuit. Or do you want me to ask the cops to have a look at that warehouse of yours, which you possess by MY help? I'm sure they'll love to see what you do in there.'

Circuit sighed.

'Okay, I'll see what I can do. But no promises, though.'

'Oh I'm sure you'll find something out. Oh, and while you're at it, I need a background check on an individual too, mainly pertaining to childhood and past life.'

'Okay, that can be arranged. Who is it? Give me a name.'

'Find out who STEVEN BLAZING really is.'

'Understood. Is that all?'

'For the moment. I'll be waiting, Circuit.'

Both men hung up the call from their individual sides.

Matthew Hood reached a dark alley. He looked around again to see if anyone was following him. There was no one.

If someone HAD watched Matthew enter, they would have been shocked to see a fully grown live man enter an alley and disappear completely without a trace.
