My First Artemis Fowl Book!
09/05/2022
So...
It's been a hot second since I last posted a chapter in this book.
Sorry about that. I was busy with some other stuff *cough* my fanfiction book *cough*.
Anywho, as you may have already figured out with the chapter title, I have officially gotten my first ever Artemis Fowl book!
I have mentioned in a previous chapter that I, despite being a fan of the series, have actually never read the books. I have also mentioned that for some reason or the other, I just wasn't able to get my hands on the first Artemis Fowl book.
But now, I have~
(Gotten my hands on the book I mean).
I've already gone through the extra information you get in the books, and I can't wait to start reading it!
Apart from that, the book was a little damaged during shipping, hence the somewhat rough appearance. Another thing is that the cover was much shinier than I expected (meaning I didn't expect it to be shiny at all).
Anywho, I don't know about you, but I find the fact that a 12-year old would kidnap a fairy for certain reasons extremely funny, despite the fact that if I was him, I'd have probably tried to befriend them instead and then gradually gain knowledge of their world, and then use that knowledge however I see fit, should the need for me to use it arise.
But that's just me. :)
The book, when I ordered it, was actually supposed to come out on September 1st, and I had ordered it according to that date, because if you don't know, September 1st is Arty's birthday, and I just figured that it'd be really neat if I got the first book in the series on that date.
But no.
Life hates me.
What happened was that the delivery guy had posted that he had delivered the book, but instead took his sweet time delivering it because he's a twat who's done this to me before.
Anywho, that's why I ended up getting the book on September 5th (today) instead of the 1st.
I don't mind too much seeing as I finally have the book!
I noticed something about the pages, and that is there's a different code on each page (I'm talking both front and back) written in Gnommish. That is so cool?
Like growing up, yes, I enjoyed codes in books and whatnot, but those codes weren't all over the book, but rather just one or two in certain parts.
But in this book, there's a code in EVER. SINGLE. PAGE.
I knew I'd like this book-
Well, I better go and get started with the book, so happy reading (to me)!
