Meeting Orion Fowl; What Could Go Wrong?

06/11/2022

Pairing: None

Word Count: 1,390

Warnings: Crackheadedness throughout the fic; perhaps a few curse words here and there.

Notes: This is a request by ! I hope you enjoy~

I'm using myself as an OC because I'm lowkey too lazy to make up a new one (because I didn't want to use a perfectly good, ALREADY EXISTING one).

*Also, this is the most important bit, however, I am cross-posting this fic from my book of fanfiction. My lovely triplet joycethebooklover suggested that I post the fic here in the Fowldom book (yes I will be changing the name to that one person who suggested it), so I'm doing exactly that!

Let me know what you guys think!

Aheliss took a deep breath.

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL HELL IS THIS dYMOND!?

Oh, we're starting there, are we?

Very well~

For a little backstory, for those of you who haven't the foggiest, Dymond, otherwise known as PlsGiveMeABook, had inquired me if it would be possible to write a fancfic where an OC of mine (or a character should I not want to write with the OC) meets Orion Fowl.

Now, for Dymond, I would do just about anything, so of course, I granted her wish.

And now you all shall see Aheliss (an OC who I made in just about one minute) suffer at my whims. Ta ta~

If you could enter the mind of Artemis Fowl, you would realize that it would have been better (much better) to not have tried to go down that rabbit hole. After all, a genius's mind takes some time getting used to and Artemis's mind in particular was not for the faint of heart.

So what would Artemis's mind be like if it were overtaken by someone else? An alter-ego if you will.

Orion Fowl.

Orion was the opposite of Artemis in many ways. Where one shined like the sun from a faraway fantasy land, the other existed in the dark depths of said faraway fantasy land. Where one had the flamboyance befitting an entitled prince (he in fact did think of himself as such), the other had the coldness of the center of a black hole.

But there was one key difference between the two. One was, in the literal sense, incapable of feeling guilt. His ostentatious confidence made sure of that. The other? Shrouded in guilt the way fog settles in a city, but no one knows of it. The guilt that weighs him down that is.

Of course, there's also Aheliss. An individual who prefers the quiet nuances of life and while not looking like it, she could pack a punch. It was as though Aheliss was Judgment descended upon mortals, and she most certainly carried herself that way.

And as Fate would have it, it was destined that Aheliss would one day cross paths with the one and only Orion Fowl (not that either of them knew it).

Orion could be seen promenading through a garden, romanticizing the scenery in his mind as he imagined himself, the prince, rescuing a beautiful damsel in distress, perhaps a princess? Oh the nuances of his mind were terribly good to him!

Aheliss sat in a bench in a garden rereading her Sherlock Holmes novel for the umpteenth time in her life. Holmes was a genius, a mentor, a true visionary, a-

*Crack*

Aheliss whipped her head at the sound.

Quietly, she trained her eyes at the general area where the sound came from. Nothing. But Aheliss knew better. She trained under Sherlock Holmes (even if it was just her reading all his stories and pretending he was real in her head) from a very young age, and with the right details, she would know what to expect.

A gentle humming. Mellow in tone, Aheliss noted. Slightly off-tune, but it wasn't a travesty to the ears.

Footsteps. Dainty, yet sure. Evenly spaced strides. And...swiftly approaching.

Immediately, Aheliss hid behind an area in the garden which boasted an ungodly amount of overgrown shrubbery (thank the heavens above for it existing). No one would be able to spot her if she didn't want them to. All that was left was to wait for the intruder who dared interrupt her peace.

Orion marched along the garden's paths, his prince saving a princess fantasy still roleplaying in his head. But something brought him out of his reverie.

A laugh.

It was incredibly quiet, yet oh so alluring and all of a sudden, Orion felt compelled to find the owner of such a graceful voice.

His pace picked up speed and he made his way to where he thought he heard the laugh. But then he found himself lost. In the middle of the garden no less. At least there were benches, a fountain, and a decent amount of shade from the shrubbery.

Someone seriously should trim the overgrowth. It was rather unsightly.

Though Orion supposed that it did provide ample shade for a brief rest.

So, he plopped himself onto the bench, closed his eyes, and allowed his fantasy carry him far, far away.

Aheliss was confused.

Artemis would never in a million years (or lifetimes for that matter) step foot into the garden, and he most certainly wouldn't simply look around, let out a dejected sigh, and then continue to sit himself on a bench and then fall asleep of all things!

Something was odd. Very odd.

And so, Aheliss did what she did best.

Observe. Make conclusions. Judge.

Artemis had a specific style of walking and it was very silent, very much unlike the way he walked now. And, Aheliss had never seen Artemis out in the sun. Sometimes she wondered if he was secretly a vampire.

One time, she even questioned him about his possible vampirism, but was immediately shot down cruelly. She fumed quite a many curse words that day. Silly Artemis didn't get that it was nothing to be ashamed of.

Aheliss studied Artemis for some more time, noting every weird difference from how he normally was, but couldn't reach a firm conclusion. Maybe Arty had finally gone off his rocker? That would certainly explain much of what she was seeing.

After a good ten minutes of analyzing and still not being able to pinpoint Artemis's general...weirdness, Aheliss silently and skillfully maneuvered her way out of the bushes she used to hide herself. Clutching the novel in her arms, she silently crept away from the ravenette how slept with a smile on his face.

Aheliss begged the gods above, anyone who was willing to listen, to allow her to escape silently without anyone realizing her presence.

As it turned out, the gods above really did hear her plea!

And they decided to ignore it.

Orion awoke to a rather loud cry.

A girl's cry.

Frantically looking around to save the damsel in distress, Orion's eyes laid on a girl who was rubbing her knee, clearly because she had hit it on the stone fountain. He stood and rushed over to where the girl was doubled over in pain.

But before he could reach his hand out to her, he felt a sudden pain in his abdomen.

Looking at the girl in shock, he finally registered her features.

She was rather petite. Long black hair which (he could only assume) was naturally curled into ringlets and black doe eyes to match. Her face seemed a bit filled out, and if he was being honest here, the girl seemed like a doll. A very angry looking doll. A very angry looking doll that had just punched him in the stomach and damn did it hurt.

That is rather unusual.

"My lady, please allow this knight to aid you in your moment of weakness and accept my hand and offer of treatment! I assure you, your wound would be healed rather quickly," Orion suggested to Aheliss. He threw in a wink for good measure.

But the girl only looked at him like he was a ghost. In fact, she looked appalled!

"What the hell Artemis! You're being freakier than usual," Stated Aheliss. Either he had Dissociative Identity Disorder or he hit his head on something really bad.

But Artemis's strange behavior only became stranger...

"Ah, my lady, you have a leave embedded in your lovely hair," Orion noted as he reached forward to pluck out the leaf.

This time, Aheliss didn't hesitate to flip Artemis's entire body onto the ground before standing back with her book raised in a position where it could kill if she swung just right. "You're crazy!" Clearly Aheliss wasn't used to people acting weirdly and having no sense of regard for her personal space.

"Oh, I'm crazy alright. I do have plenty of psychoses. Multiple personality, delusional dementia, OCD. I've got them all, but most of all, I'm crazy about you," Said Orion with a lopsided grin.

Aheliss made a run for it. She would have thrown her book at the Arty imposter, but then that would mean leaving her poor Sherlock Holmes. Alone. With that psycho.

Orion tried getting up but sharp pains shocked him enough to succumb to the ground and groan at the pain the girl put him through.

Aheliss, running as fast as her legs would carry her, almost ran straight into Butler who was standing outside the garden entrance, clearly about to enter the place.

"Oh thank the norns! Butler! There's someone inside the garden impersonating Artemis! Hurry, I've immobilized him, but he'll be able to get up soon!" Yelled Aheliss frantically.

Butler at first seemed confused, but then it dawned on him.

"That is no Artemis imposter." Butler remarked solemnly.

Aheliss scrunched up her nose in confusion.

"That is Orion. Orion Fowl."

That's all I was able to come up with for this request! , I sincerely hope you enjoyed reading it, and I know it's a tad rushed, Orion's extremely OC, and it's a bit underwhelming, but, nevertheless, I hope you liked it!
