[1]The Café

*ding a ling*

The bell of the glass doors to the cozy café rang as they opened. It was a cool fall Saturday morning, and all of the leaves had become shades of radiant reds, warm oranges, and bright golden yellows.

A small breath of condensation came from the mouth of the person who had disturbed the bell. The breath quickly dissipated as the cold autumn air was replaced by the nice warm air of the peaceful café. The male's forest green shoes scuffed against the doormat before stepping onto the checkered black-white floor tiles. A slowed-down version of "All I Need" was playing quietly, almost inaudibly, on the cafe's speakers, amplifying the calm atmosphere. A two-toned man in a bee-themed uniform turned at the chiming sound of the bells, a smile growing on his freckled face as he recognized who the customer was.

"Ah! Hello, Mika!" The male at the counter said enthusiastically. He had fluffy brown hair with patches of blonde dusted spontaneously in the locks. He also had unusual white (or possibly a bright tan) freckles dusting his dimpled cheeks. Above those were his bright, deep lilac eyes that were as wide as large quarters.

"Hey Bumble," the customer said with a smile and a wave of his left hand. He was a tall, tanned, strawberry blonde with caramel moca eyes. His hair was short and neatly cut but had subtle curls in it. His outfit consisted of green, white and black colors, making up the many layers he wore. He had a muscular build and a conventionally attractive facial structure, among other features. "I'll take the usual," He said nonchalantly before propping his left elbow on the marble counter.

"Tsk tsk," the cashier said with a shake of his head. "Sorry, but you're gonna have to specify your order. Our new hire doesn't know your usual. HEY Cody! GET OUT HERE"

Mika gave a confused look before a ravenette walked through the swinging door to the back of the cafe and caught his eye. "Yes, Bumble?" The pale boy asked with the sweetest British accent Mika had ever heard.

Cody had been annoyed the whole week. It started with being called the F slur all day at school after his supposed "boyfriend" outed him after breaking up with him on Saturday and only got worse from there.

After getting home from school that Monday, his parents had told him and his younger sister that they would be moving from their nice lovely home in London to some trashy, middle-of-nowhere small town in Florida of all workplaces. He was then stuck in a middle seat on the flight sitting situated between a loud, snoring person in the aisle seat and a loud, excited kid at the window who wouldn't stop pestering him.

After the insufferable 10-hour flight, his family found out their luggage had been put on the wrong plane. After getting to their new house (which Cody had to admit wasn't a bad house by any means) Cody had been informed that he'd have to get a part-time job along with struggling through his senior year as the new British kid at the end of September. Luckily, it didn't take much wandering around the small (at least pretty and quaint) town for him to find a position open at a nice café.

He'd started working Thursday and wouldn't start school till the following Monday at the local high school. The owner of the cafe was a bubbly young man named Bumble(or that is what he went by as his actual name was Benjamin) who had graduated the previous year. He was nice but always wore a bee-themed striped sweater and antenna earmuffs along with the simple café uniform.

The uniform consisted of a yellow apron with a cartoon bee and name tag. Brown pants with the establishment's name of "Bumble's Bakery & Café" written up the side of the right leg in white lettering, accompanied the apron. There was also an optional white or yellow short-sleeved shirt you could wear, but Cody chose to go with his normal blue sweater vest with a white dress shirt underneath.

Saturday's shift had started just as the other two days with Bumble explaining everything. "So you already know how everything works, I'll be working the cash register, but be on alert because if I know the customer's order already as usual, I'll have you come out and take it instead, ok? For the experience, 'cause you can't stay back here forever" and with that, Bumble went out the swinging door to wait for customers.

Cody had been starting all of the machines and checking the fridge when the door rang. He had expected the order to come up on the little screen as the other two days had when he heard "HEY Cody! GET OUT HERE. "

Cody quickly looked out the circular window in shock before quickly heading out the door. "Yes, Bumble?" He said before his eyes landed on the handsome stranger in front of him.

Notes
I forced myself to write this at midnight, so there are probably plenty of typos. Also, I wouldn't expect updates. This was pretty spontaneously started, and I don't have a solid plot planned out. So yeah, comment on your feelings... Ciao!

Hey, as you should've known, this is now an original story. Sorry if you didn't notice. If there's anything i missed, please tell me. Anyway, good day/night! (920 Words)
