"I'm home, hag," Katsuki Bakugou called as he entered his home.

No answer.

"Hag?"

Nothing.

"Mom?"

"She's not home," Masaru called quietly from the hall.

"Well where is she? I need her to sign this damn permission slip."

"I could sign it," Masaru said, still quiet.

Katsuki eyed his father, considering. "Okay," he said finally, deciding that he didn't want to wait for his mother.

Masaru took the permission slip, reading over it while Katsuki watched impatiently, half wishing he had just waited for his mother, at least she just signed it without reading the entire paper. She usually just read the first two lines, however irresponsible that was forgotten by her.

Masaru finally signed the paper and handed it over to Katsuki, smiling timidly as the blonde grabbed it and hurried away upstairs.

Katsuki passed his final exam without a hitch and was now on the bus towards the training camp thing- not that the same could be said for the rest of the 'Bakusquad.' Dunce Face and Alienator both failed against the Monokuma wannabe of their principle, Shitty Hair and whoever the hell his partner was failed against a literal cement block, Tape failed but his partner passed (which honestly really surprised Katsuki he had been half hoping that spoiled grape juice would get kicked out), and earbuds... did fine.

"I'm excited!" Dunce Face exclaimed for about the millionth time.

"For the extra work?" Kirishima asked, groaning. He had been complaining about it most of the way up.

"No..."

The conversation probably continued, but Katsuki didn't bother to listen to it, opting instead to close his eyes and pretend to sleep. That is, until he felt Shitty Hair get up from where he sat with Katsuki and swap with someone else.

Katsuki opened an eye to see bright yellow eyes way too close to his face for comfort.

"Is there a reason you're all up in my face?" Katsuki asked, annoyance ringing in his tone.

"No, 'course not!" Mina said happily, not moving.

Katsuki stared at her, both eyes now open.

Raccoon Eyes seemed to get the message and backed up a bit, sitting like a normal person.

Katsuki sighed and went back to pretending to sleep.

"So, how's it feel to not have to do extra work?" Alien asked, drawing out the word 'so' so it was extra annoying.

"Maybe pass your finals and find out yourself," Katsuki answered, keeping his eyes closed.

"Hey! That was just mean..."

"Not my fault the teddy bear outsmarted you."

"He would've outsmarted you too!"

"Prove it."

"I-"

"You can't. Exactly." Katsuki knew for a fact that the teddy bear very well could have outsmarted him, but it wasn't like he needed to say that. Plus, he wouldn't have failed anywhere near as badly as Dunce and Alien did.

"You're mean," Mina pouted.

Bakugou shrugged, eyes still closed.

A second of sweet, sweet silence that didn't last long enough and-

"Are you trying to sleep?"

"Yes." Katsuki responded icily, although he wasn't really. He was trying to seem like it, so he'd be left alone but his current seat buddy didn't seem to be getting the hint.

"Oh, well that sucks, it's kinda loud in here."

"I could deal with that is someone wasn't talking to me."

"Who?"

Katsuki opened both of his eyes, staring at the girl next to him.

"Oh- shit my bad."

Katsuki sighed and closed his eyes once more.

He guessed that he must have actually fallen asleep, because shortly after he closed his eyes he opened them again to Aizawa telling them to get out of the bus- apparently they'd be walking the rest of the way.

What sort of Hunter Exam wannabe shit was this?

Katsuki got out of his bus seat after Mina and followed the group out, seeing the supposed teachers. They were a group of heroes known as the Wild Pussycats.

Great, Katsuki thought in annoyance. This just gets more fun by the minute.

Little did he know there was something more sinister in the air, a much more... ominous plan, brewing right next to him in the form of a pretty pink girl.

Okay criiiiinge. I hate this chapter LOL hopefully it gets better but I'll be honest- Idk where I'm going with this story haha. Like I had a vague plan but I don't like it anymore 😭
