{FIVE: Final Straw}
Futaki was running late the next day. He was rarely late, despite everything he had to sort out at home, and always made sure to be the first to arrive. He found the rumours about him living at school amusing, so never seeming to leave and never seeming to arrive helped the joke.
But when he was late, he was late by a lot. Today, he was at least going to enter seconds before his teacher if he was lucky. If he wasn't lucky, he'd interrupt the first lesson.
The corridors were empty and Futaki glided past full classrooms, shifting his schoolbag on his shoulder with an annoyed growl. If there was one thing he hated more then being late it was being late because of things out of his control. He made his way over to Class 3-5, breathing in to calm himself. Ruining his image was something he'd hate to do.
Forcing himself to appear unbothered and uninterested, he opened the door, walked in and got pinned to the wall instantly. The tips of plastic knives stabbed into his sides regularly and he screamed in fury, kicking out with his feet. One of the people stabbing him went down with a groan of pain and the people holding him let go.
Aozora and Fujikawa, who'd been keeping him against the wall, seemed sheepish, Domen was on the ground, holding his crotch after being kicked there, and Yoshida looked mad.
"Oh, of course, you'd mess it up!" He said angrily. "If you had been that dumb teacher, we would've gotten him!"
Futaki bit back a harsh response and resisted the petty urge to kick Yoshida in the crotch too. He simply sorted out his white hair, shifted his schoolbag and stalked over to his desk, silently fuming in anger. Seno, who had the misfortune to sit next to him scooted away fearfully.
"That was the worst assassination attempt I think I've ever seen," Shiota-sensei said from the doorway, making the four attackers jump. He walked in and took the knives away from Domen and Yoshida. "You honestly thought jumping on the first person who walked in wouldn't have any risks? What if another teacher walked in? How would you explain that?"
Domen got up of the floor and glared at Yoshida. "I told you it was a dumb plan," He snapped. "Adding one extra step wouldn't have changed anything."
Yoshida sneered. "Well, if Futaki had been the target then we would've killed him!"
"No, we wouldn't," Argued Domen. "Because Futaki wasn't really expecting to be attacked! Sensei knows we're trying to 'kill' him, this plan was stupid anyway."
Aozora backed Yoshida up pathetically with a, "No, you're stupid!"
Yoshida glared at him. "Not helping, Aozora."
Shiota-sensei started writing on the blackboard. "This is the final straw. You really need to up your game, boys," He sighed, taking the attention of the class. "So it's time to start stage one."

Nagisa never realised how easy it was to have an impromptu class trip when your class is full of thugs. The coach driver gave up a spare bus without a moments' hesitation upon seeing towering teenagers gathered behind the smaller man. Nagisa got into the driver's seat and most of the class went into the very back, except for Futaki, who sat near the front with cheap headphones.
As Nagisa started driving, he realised he had no idea what he was going. Being a teacher was hard. How did Korosensei do this?
He picked up his phone when he reached a traffic light and opened up the contact number of one of his old friends, dialling him and holding the phone close to his ear.
"Nagisa?" Maehara picked up, the sound of distant voices in the background. "Hey, how you doing? Isogai told me you're at work, shouldn't you be teaching?"
"About that, I didn't think this through."
Maehara's' frown was audible. "Have you been fake assassinated?"
"No. But I am taking my class on a sudden trip for teambuilding and I just realised I have nowhere to go except E-Class." The light went green and Nagisa began to drive again.
"What are you planning to do?" Maehara asked.
Nagisa shrugged. "I got an idea I want to try, but I'm gonna need a good parkour spot and the only one I know inside out is the E-Class mountain."
Maehara hummed thoughtfully. "One second, I'll ask Yumo about it. Are you gonna need to go inside?"
"No, no, it'll be fine outside. Why?"
"Just thought I could drop by with the key if you needed it. Let me ask Yumo if he knows if anyone's using it today."
There was a moment of silence, and Nagisa could hear Maehara talking to Isogai in the distance before coming back to him. "He says it's free, go ahead. But a word of advice from him is to keep them away from the campus. We wouldn't want it to get vandalised, especially with all it means to us and stuff."
Nagisa nodded. "I'll keep them to the other side, they won't even see E-Class."
He could almost see his old classmates' bright smile. "You've always been a good one, Nagisa. I'll see you soon, hopefully!"
"Bye, Maehara!"
Maehara hanged up and Nagisa put the phone down, weaving the bus down the roads to his junior high. It would be weird, going back there again. He glanced into the rearview mirror, looking at the students at the back and Futaki, who seemed glued to his phone. So far, so good.
Now it was time to see if he really could teach assassination.
