Chapter 8.2: {Star and Moon}: SOS

Before Joe could run to see if he was okay, Jimbae felt an unfamiliar hand on his half exposed shoulder, his jacket barely hanging on. Jimbae lifted his hand and saw a very unfamiliar face blurrily. “Are you okay?” The man lifted Jimbae's head with his hands slowly. “I'm Tip.”

Jimbae nodded his head steadily with the rhythm of the music of the bar. “I'm Jimbae.” He struggled to let out. The man's face lit up, a smile took over his face that looked both genuine and mischievous. The man's hand roamed to Jimbae's on the table as he began to rub the slick fingers of Jimbae. Jimbae didn't mind. He wasn't in the state to care what the intention of the man was but Joe definitely did care.

“Mind if I sit here?” The man asked, pointing to the stool next to Jimbae. He intimately removed his hand from over Jimbae's, attempting to print a sensation on purpose. Jimbae was too drunk to even consider the sensation. He rolled his head around before setting it back on the counter table, above his hands. “Suit yourself.” He murmured.

From what Joe observed from afar, the man was surely older than Jimbae, perhaps 24 or 25 of age. At that point, Joe could notice how the alcohol was suddenly starting to hit Jimbae. He could barely keep his eyes open which worried Joe even more considering the bar they were in was definitely not a safe place for an unconscious teenager.

But Joe continued to watch from afar, not wanting to cause a scene in a public place yet making sure the man wasn't doing anything to Jimbae.

The man placed his hand on Jimbae's back, rubbing gently as if trying to assure Jimbae that he was indeed a good guy but the thing was a person with actual good intentions would never have to prove that. Joe knew something was up but upfront confrontation would only cause confusion. “You should go home. You're totally wasted,” The man stated to Jimbae. Jimbae shook his head. He didn't want to go. He still wanted to forget it all.

“I want to drink more,” Jimbae murmured, his hand forming an unknown gesture as he attempted to lift his head from the counter but failed to balance it out.

“You’re young. You shouldn't risk your health like that,” The man replied, placing his hand on Jimbae's ear.

“You're nagging me even more than my father. So what if I'm young? I still bet I'm not too young for you,” Jimbae remarked. He had no idea what he was saying but he liked the sound of it. Even as drunk as he was, he was still talkative and loved debating, even if his opponent was danger, he neither realized it nor did he back up.

“This kid is gonna be a trouble,” Joe murmured to himself, watching Jimbae unknowingly flirt with a stranger.

The man nodded as if understanding. “You're right.” He claimed. “Do you want a lift or maybe we can go to my place and drink more?”

A tired yet mischievous grin took over Jimbae's face as he slowly nodded. “I'd like that.”

When sober, Jimbae was truly a sunshine. He would be very talkative and brightened up everyone's days. His innocence would show in a day to day life. But who knew that he would turn into such a flirt with the effect of alcohol? There was always a saying that alcohol brings out the inner braver soul inside of people and that had been proven true multiple times.

Joe walked to follow after the two once he saw the man, Tip, pick Jimbae up, leaning his body weight on his shoulder and chest. Joe still didn't trust the man and he genuinely thought Jimbae would also be smart enough to not go with a stranger even if drunk. But he was wrong. Jimbae completely lost all his senses after drinking which proved how less Jimbae had drunk and how lightweight he truly was.

Joe followed after and stood behind a wall outside the bar so that they wouldn't see him. But he couldn't bear it anymore.

Joe saw the man almost taking Jimbae inside his car until he finally decided to come out and confront. He walked closer to them until the man finally noticed his existence. He grabbed Jimbae's wrist pulling him towards himself with a bit force while the man held his other wrist and shoulder.

“Who the hell are you?” The man asked, pulling Jimbae towards himself.

Jimbae looked totally confused. After some time, he finally lifted his head to look at Joe and though he couldn't see clearly, he still seemed to recognize him. “Phi Joe…,” He murmured while rubbing his eyes, wiggling his wrist, attempting to break out of both men's tight grips.

“Why are you going with this man, Jimbae?” Joe asked, his eyes shining with hatred as if throwing laser lights on the other man.

“He's a nice guy,” Jimbae stated as he smiled and attempted to stand straight, still failing.

“You're really drunk. You shouldn't go with a stranger,” Joe replied.

“We’re not strangers and this is none of your business,” The man yelled, trying to drag Jimbae out. Jimbae still seemed too drunk to process.

"Doesn't give you the right to abduct a unconscious boy. Have some sanity, will you?" Joe walked forward and pulled Jimbae towards himself, pushing his body weight into his chest. He wrapped his arm around Jimbae's shoulder and attempted to lift him up quietly, walking their way to his car.

The man stood there, stunned and confused as he tried to take Jimbae away but since Jimbae had already recognized someone else, he refused to let the man take him out anymore.

Joe's car was parked right beside the bar and it didn't take them long to get in front. Joe slowly opened the door to the passenger seat of the car, pushing Jimbae's weight inside gently. He entered the car himself from the other side and his gaze shifted to Jimbae.

Jimbae wasn't totally unconscious. Joe saw his head moving in the empty air while his eyes felt heavy and kept closing, the small smile embroidered on his lips never fading. Jimbae's head moved around as he struggled to find a spot to rest his head. “Mmhhh…,” He whined.

Joe couldn't help his lips from forming a smile noticing the cute demeanor of Jimbae. His cuteness was always too much to bear. Joe lifted his hand to slowly tap the front of Jimbae's head and gently push his head towards the seat.

Joe slowly got up, his smile getting wider as he reached for the seatbelt beside Jimbae's seat and properly tucked it in. Jimbae whined again, wiggling his body to avoid the uncomfortable feeling. “This thing is uncomfortable...,” He whined.

Joe's smile grew wider as he placed one of his hands on Jimbae's knee and Jimbae stopped moving. His body relaxed calmly to Joe's touch and he fell asleep in no time.

Joe's other hand started the car while carefully driving. To focus properly on the road, Joe removed his other hand from above Jimbae's knee and looked in front. Jimbae was far asleep by then to realize.

To Be Continued…..

A/n: From next week, there will be two parts updated on Fridays to speed up the story process a little bit. Otherwise, this kind of becomes a bit frustrating because of the slow burn.

Thanks for reading. Please vote and comment if you liked this chapter. It encourages me to continue on. Joe and Jimbae are giving domestic couple vibes at this point haha ❤️
