The Whale
Carrie opened her little eyes slowly. After her big blackout she was a bit weary and dizzy. She yawned and stood up lazily, eyes barely open. She stared at her surroundings. The comfy tongue, the shiny teeth......
"What!?" she suddenly shouted. "I'm in a whale!!" She ran everywhere trying to find a way out. She banged a bit on the teeth and tickled the mouth but all seemed to fail.
Tears began to fall down like a waterfall as she sat on the tongue
"I guess this is how I die" she said hopelessly. She burried her head in her legs and was crying softly, waiting for the beast to swallow her whole.
But out of nowhere, she heard a woman's voice. "Are you alright?" the voice asked curiously.
Carrie looked up from her knees and said "Yeah. Just waiting for this whale to swallow me whole." with a depressed look on her face.
Suddenly, she realized that she wasn't alone and jumped up and said "Wait a minute! W-w-who said that? Who ever you are, we gotta get out of this whale before it eats us!" in fear.
"Oh, sweetie. I'm not gonna eat you." the voice replied and giggled
Carrie then stopped dead in her tracks and looked up and saw the uvula shake as the voice said "Woah, woah! Its alright! Don't be scared." and went pale in the face.
"You, you can t-t-talk?!" Carrie said
Suddenly, the light-headed little girl seemed to be so shocked and dizzy that she had fainted.
But before she could land back on the tongue, the whales long, arm-like fins caught her and took her out of her mouth. The whale then sprayed some water out of her blow hole and it splashed onto Carrie.
Carrie woke up immediately and stared at the whale. She saw something very...strange but also...very comforting. The whale had a kind but concerning smile on her face.
"Are you alright, sunshine?" the whale asked concerned
Strange, no one has ever called her anything as sweet as 'sunshine' before. Her cheeks went a bit rosey.
"I'm, I'm ok" Carrie replied nervously
She then sat up on the fins and said "Th-Thanks for not eating me..." she mumbled.
The whale gave a goofy smile, chuckled and said "Oh, sweetie I don't eat people, I eat fish! And besides, I'm not that hungry anyway."
"Right..." Carrie replied
Awkward silence*
The whale then gave Carrie a curious glance and said "Now what in the world were you doin' in the middle of the ocean? Were you lost? Where are your parents?"
Carrie's heart began to ache as she hesitantly and sadly replied "I.....I don't....I don't have parents."
The whale looked at her with a guilty look and said "Oh, honey I'm so sorry."
Carrie was suprised. No one had been so nice to her about being an orphan. Carrie thought that she would just ignore her from then on. But.....she....cared.
"Oh, it's ok." She replied with a light smile.
The whale's smile returned.
"Oh my gosh, where are my manners. My name's Carrie!" She said politely
The whale made some sort of lovey-dovey face after hearing her name.
"Carrie! Aww what an adorable name!" she said
Carrie's cheeks turned a bright red with flattery, giggled and said "Thank you"
When the blush disappeared she asked "What's your name?" and gave a smile.
"My name is-"
Suddenly, Carrie heard a slightly high pitched voice yell "Bubbie!"
