Godt's POV

Bas and I tried to make the most of our time together because the following day I had a hectic work schedule and would not be able to see Bas nor even contact him until late into the night.

I was dismayed to find out from my manager the following day that she had signed me up for several more promo shooting for several products for the next two weeks.

When I told Bas about it, he was devastated.

I knew he would be lonely without me so I pleaded with him to stay strong and to hang out with the other members of his group.

The two weeks flew by for me because it was all work, work, work and sleep the first chance I got.

On the second to the last day of my second week of work, my manager decided to treat me to dinner as a reward for my hard work.

We went to a fancy restaurant that specialized in mushroom burgers.

When my manager and I entered the restaurant we were met by a restaurant staff who guided us to a corner table.

As we were passing the other tables I was surprised to see Joss seated at a table by the wall. He did not see me come in because he was engrossed in conversation with the guy across his table. Thankfully it was not Bas.

I took a glance at the other guy's face. His face looked familiar to me but I could not place it.

Joss' POV

After my dinner birthday celebration to which Mark treated me, I thanked him and dropped him off at the hotel where he and his family were staying.

We promised each other to keep in touch and I wished him good luck on his comeback performance with his group.

When I got back to my quiet and lonely apartment, I decided to give Bas a call.

"Hey I haven't heard from you in a while," I said when he took my call.

"I know, P'Joss," he said, "my group and I have been busy."

'I understand," I said, "I have been busy myself. The reason I called was because I was wondering if you have a quick minute to spend with me before I end the day."

"Any special reason?" he asked.

"A very special reason," I said, "today is my birthday."

"Wwwhhhaaattt?" I had to hold my phone away from my ears.

"Why didn't you tell me before this?" he complained, "I could have gotten you a birthday present!"

"Your presence would be my best birthday present," I said, "if I ended my special day with you in my arms tonight, I would not need to celebrate my birthday for the rest of my life."

He laughed "You are so dramatic, P'Joss."

"Dramatic maybe but I mean it." I said.

"Wait for me," he said, "our promo event just wrapped up. I will ask P'Kim to drop me off at your place."

"No, no, no," I said, "let me pick you up from where you are. Just give me the address."

I did not have a hard time finding the address he gave me.

He walked towards my car when he saw me and I quickly let him inside.

Back at my condo unit, Bas turned to me to say, "Happy birthday, P'Joss!"

I held my arms open and he willingly went into them.

"Don't I get a birthday kiss?" I asked.

He tiptoed to give me a peck on my cheek.

When he saw the look of disappointment on my face, he tiptoed once more, placing his hands on either side of my face.

The moment his lips touched mine, I carried him in my arms, not breaking the kiss, and brought him inside my bedroom.
