Chapter 4
Storm happily walked through the next room with Eva as their phone rang again.
"Hello? I just realized that it has been a while since I have cleaned up. I wasn't expecting to have company so soon. There are probably many things hanging around. You can pick them up, but do not carry more than you need." Toriel told them before handing up.
In the next room, there were spot to fall through the floor.
"You need to go down, to find the switch." Eva told Storm to which he sighed and fell down the first opening.
A Vegetoid hopped out of the ground as Storm landed beside it.
"He'll feed you." Eva winked.
Storm nodded slowly and patted their stomach. Vegetoid through vegetables at Storm's soul and they touched the green one. That seemed to please Vegetoid and Storm spared it.
Storm climbed back up and found a faded ribbon in the next hole.
"If you're cuter, monsters won't hit you as hard." Eva told Storm as they put the ribbon in their hair.
"Really..?' Storm asked slowly.
"Mhm."
Storm found the switch soon after, having spared a few Vegetoids and Looxs. They flicked it and headed into the next room with three pillars, each with a switch near it.
The door was already open to Storm walked through it as Eva spoke,"The door is not an exit, merely a change in perspective."
"Those are big words." Storm nodded.
"Eva knows." She smiled,"Now, press the blue switch."
At first, Storm couldn't see it but the blue caught their eye from behind the pillar and they flicked it, causing the door to open.
The pair then headed into the next room and Eva floated up to the red switch,"This one next."
Storm did as they were instructed and again, opened the door with the switch so they could progress into the next room.
Making an educated guess, Storm headed for where the green switch was and they flicked it, opening the door.
"Good job for remembering the switch positions." Eva grinned.
"Thanks, Eva." Storm smiled as they headed into the next room together.
Storm headed forward and walked along the corridor, coming out at a small balcony where a small plastic knife lay on the ground.
"One of the others dropped this.." Eva looked down at it.
"One of the other humans?" Storm asked as they picked it up.
"Jamie." Eva nodded.
Storm sighed and walked out of the balcony, following a path of red leaves into the next room where a large, barron tree stood.
"Oh dear, that took longer than I thought it would." They heard Toriel walked over, about to call them when she spotted Storm,"How did you get here, my child? Are you hurt?"
"I'm fine." Storm assured her, although they had some bruises from when they'd gotten into fights with monsters on the way.
"There, there, I shall heal you. I should not have left you alone for so long." Toriel patted Storm's head,"It was irresponsible to try and surprise you like this- Er- I suppose I cannot hide it any longer. Come, small one."
Toreil lead Storm towards a building that looked like a house although they spotted a 'Save Sparkle' outside and went to touch it once she was inside.
"Seeing such a cute, tidy house in the Ruins fills you with determination." Eva smiled softly.
"It is a nice looking house." Storm nodded slowly before they entered.
