Epilogue (Chapter 31)

*11 years later*

(Ashley's POV)

"Sarah! I need you to put in more power and punch the bag! Come on, you can do it!" I told the ten-year old girl.

She nodded, looking very determined and punched the bag. It moved quite a lot this time.

"Good job, Sarah," I whispered with a small smile on my face and patted her head.

She look pleased with herself at that moment. I turned my head around to see another boy, Toby sulking in front of the bag.

I walked over to him, keeping a soft expression on my face.

"What's wrong, Toby?" I asked.

"Whatever I do, this bag doesn't move!" he complained and threw his arms up in frustration.

I took a deep breath in.

"Toby, you have to put in more strength and punch it stronger," I explained, "Here let me show you."

I took my position, my fists clenched to my side and punched the bag without the boxing gloves. Due to my many years of experience, I didn't feel a thing when my fist collided with the bag and sent the bag flying to the other side.

"It all takes experience," I whispered to him, "You know, it's just like the saying. Practice makes perfect,"

He nodded his head and clenched his fists against his chest.

"Let's do this then, Ms. Ashley," he said.

"Let's do this," I chuckled and ruffled his hair. He groaned when I did so, reminding me of Dylan. He used to groan like this when he was young as well.

He narrowed his eyes at the punching bag and hit it. He kept on hitting it and with a satisfied smile I walked over to the other kids.

You see, many years ago, I was shot and supposedly killed my own father. I got out of the case with my lawyer proving that it was all self-defense. I had two witnesses and a piece of evidence.

Dylan and I were overjoyed at the fact that he was going to be staying with me. There was absolutely no need for foster parents as long as I kept him safe.

A couple of people kept on coming to see us both every week for three months straight to make sure we were all good until that eventually stopped.

Now, Dylan was suffering in college. Just as I anticipated, he was one of the most popular guys in his college. Can't blame anyone though, he's my brother after all.

Back to the situation, I resumed my street fighting as a source of money, but made sure to keep away from the sights of the lawyers who were out there to take Dylan away from me.

What could I do? Dad had a lot of money in his account, but he hadn't named a person who would inherit it, so it just went for my hospital bills instead.

After finding out that Aiden was related to me, it only took a bit of time to find out that Emmett was too.

So, by law orders, they were forced to take us in as our only living family members. Dylan and I were ecstatic about living with Aiden- as he had slowly become my best friend- and Jace, but unfortunately, Emmett was where our problems began.

After a long time, we both finally accepted the fact that their was nothing we could about the current situation, but that didn't mean that we starting becoming friends.

Oh no. We both were and are still enemies. No matter the relationship, we will always have hatred for each other, though I must admit, pissing him off every day like that was very, very fun.

That, my friends, was the reason to why I was still street fighting.

Apparently, one of the managers saw me fight and I was offered a high position in one of the fighting academies.

As soon as I turned eighteen, I was already out there doing the one thing I absolutely loved in the most safest and legal way possible. I was now a coach for little children and taught them a lot of my techniques.

I did need my degree for that though. And want to know how I got my actual name printed on the sheets? I actually threatened the principal. He in turn, threatened to call the police but I told him that would be the death of him.

Poor guy actually believed me and gulped as he waited for the graduation day to just come and get over with.

Most of the students that came in this academy were always strong-willed and determined. Sometimes, all you need is a little push in life to keep you going, and I considered myself the right person for this job.

Many people who were getting bullied also came here just to learn from me. I was the one who taught them how to be strong and not let them get to you.

I, after all, had experienced bullying myself. And the most ironic thing? He's cousin and one of my best friends!

And I just realized how messed up that sounded.

Anyways, some time later, me and Jace got married. We were now living in our own home with Dylan. He was going to stay with us until he gets enough money to move out. And no, he doesn't have a girlfriend at the moment. But doesn't mean that he didn't have them before!

Today was my twenty-ninth birthday. Yup, twenty nine. I was turning older and older by each passing day. What can I say? It's all part of life..

To be quite honest, I never was a big fan of birthdays and really didn't care if it was my birthday or not, but ever since dad died, every birthday of mine had been a very special one.

Jace and Dylan always did something on my birthday that made it a memorable one and the same went for Dylan's birthday. Together with Aiden, Jace and him always put in a lot of effort in their plans.

Jace was in a high position in his business. He was not CEO or anything but wasn't very far from it either.

Though I didn't quite care it was my birthday, I was suspicious by the fact that Jace, Aiden, and Dylan didn't do anything yet.

As if in cue, Jace kicked the door open with his foot carrying a huge cake with Dylan on the right of him carrying the balloons and Aiden to the left wearing a party hat. Hell, even Emmett was there and for once, he actually had a smile on.

I raised my eyebrows at all of them as the lights in the room dimmed and a table was dragged by the students in front of me.

Jace came over, gave me a quick peck on the cheek and placed the cake on the table. Then, as if it was all planned, he and all the students screamed happy birthday to me as loud as possible.

I chuckled at their behavior and shook my head. This was expected. I didn't think these three were going to break their birthday ritual that fast anyways.

"Thank you," I mouthed to him. He winked in return to which I rolled my eyes at.

Boys and their attitudes...

"Are you going to roll your eyes forever or are you even going to cut the cake?" Dylan asked, pretending to look at his imaginary watch on his wrist.

I shook my head at him and shut my eyes. I made a wish and blew all the candles. They all sang the happy birthday song which was a bit embarrassing.

I turned red and soon I was flushing furiously.

"Look at Ashley, guys! She's turn all the fifty shades of red!" Jace exclaimed earning a light punch on the shoulder by me.

I smirked as he narrowed his eyes at me and the realized everyone else was here as well.

"Thank you, everyone, for doing this for me. It's great," I told them earnestly.

"It's okay! We love you!" all my students said before attacking me with a hug. I nearly fell down with the amount of pressure they all hugged me with, but Aiden placed a hand on my back stopping me from the great fall.

"Okay, okay... That's enough guys!" I told them while laughing.

They all must have realized that they were practically murdering me because they moved away shortly after that.

"Thank you," I whispered and pretended to be rubbing all the sore parts on my body from the hug.

"And now for the gifts!" Jace, Aiden, and Dylan said simultaneously. They all looked at each other and their eyes widened.

My jaw dropped open. Talk about creepy...

They all burst out laughing, but Dylan finally gained enough control of himself and walked out of the door.

I just looked at him in confusion. Oh! He probably went to get the gifts.

I was proven right when he emerged with three gifts. He handed one over to Aiden and Jace, took one himself, and passed the other one on to he kids.

"Who's first?" Aiden asked.

"Us!" all my students screamed out, clearly showing that they were going first no matter what.

"All right then," he said and Ruby, another one of my students squealed excitedly.

"We all made this for you!" she declared before all of them put at least one hand on the box and gave it to me.

I smiled at them and eyed the box. Not long after, I began unpacking it. Inside was an oversized gray t-shirt displaying the words 'you are the best'. It was obvious that they had painted it on the shirt.

"Oh. My. Goodness! This is so awesome!" I told them and opened my arms wide enough for all of them to hug me.

Once we were done hugging, I faced Jace and Dylan once again.

"And what do you three have for me?" I asked, curiosity taking over.

"Dylan and Emmett, you guys can go first," Jace said. I mentally cringed when he said Emmett, but then I realized that he was just here to give me a present.

They both nodded and handed their present to me.

I unwrapped it quick, revealing a box. I gave them a suspicious glance before opening the box. I gasped at what was inside.

"Boxing gloves," I breathed out.

"We hoped you would like it," Dylan said.

"Like it?" I asked incredulously, " I love it!"

He chuckled when I jumped on him giving him a huge bear hug.

"My turn!" Jace said happily and handed me his box. It was inside a bag and in a box. I took the box out of the bag and opened it.

I was completely and utterly shocked by what I saw.

In the box, there was a wig and three pairs of hoodies.

"This is..." I trailed off.

"Alvin," Jace smirked.

Still shocked to say anything, I hugged him really tight.

"Thank you," I whispered in his ear.

"I don't get it. Who's Alvin?" Sarah asked.

"Well," I paused as I looked at Jace, Aiden, and Dylan, "it all started when I was The Undercover Streetfighter."
