I woke up, panting. I had a terrible nightmare that woke me up suddenly. I looked to my side to find a peacefully sleeping Dylan snoring lightly.
This boy over here is the most courageous and brave boy I've ever seen. He doesn't deserve any of this.. especially what happened last night.
It just ruined our day out together. He came back crying and thankfully, dad was sleeping so he didn't wake up.
I glanced at the clock and it said 3:25. Ugh! Not again!
I got out of bed, not being able to lay down anymore. Yesterday, I just stayed home instead of going to the bar; Dylan needed me that time and I wasn't going to leave him alone in a time like that.
I left a note beside him telling him not to worry if I came late, but I doubt that's going to happen.
I put on my black Converse and threw on my black, leather jacket in case it was cold outside.
Finally ready, I opened the door, being greeted by a slight breeze and shut the door gently behind me.
I breathed the fresh air and set off to my unplanned destination. I relied on my feet to take me anywhere and absolutely any freaking, random place!
I passed by the park after an hour of walking reliving all the memories. Dylan crying, me fighting... I couldn't take it anymore and ran away. Far, far away.. to a place I had no clue about.
At least I kept track of where I was and hopefully- if I managed to take note of the paths correctly- I'll be able to reach home without any interruptions.
While walking and humming to a song I heard on the radio. A thought that had been bugging me ever since one evening at the bar.
What was Aiden doing there?
He fights too? How did he know about that place then? Not everybody stumbles across that place- it was actually quite complicated to get there. It was just by luck that day I found that place, but what about him?
This itself was another mystery, which I was keen on finding out. If I asked him anything right now, he would get suspicious and suspicions may lead to me being revealed- a risk I wasn't willing to take yet.
I was going to get my answer over time anyways.
Another question popped up.
Why was Dad so distant these days?
It felt so weird- him changing and all.
Great! Of course, when I come out for a peaceful walk, my mind will absolutely crush me with these questions.
But now that I opened up to those questions, I couldn't help but think about them.
Dad was keeping away from both me and Dylan nowadays. He was acting very strangely and being so peculiar.
This wasn't the Dad I always knew. He felt like he was keeping something from us.
I was so deep in thought that I didn't realize that almost two hours passed by so quick and I was already here in front of my doorstep.
I went in without bothering to knock- knowing that it will just wake everybody up.
Once I entered, I heard someone whispering- but enough so somebody could hear.
Cautiously tip-toeing, I went towards the direction of the voice.
Dad was pacing around the living room, talking on his phone.
I looked at the time- 5:15 a.m.
What in the world was dad doing here at this time?!?
He never wakes up this early- 6:00 a.m. minimum, nothing below that.
And why was he looking so worried?
Suddenly his face went into one of the darkest expressions I ever seen him wear.
"Get over with him," he said harshly into the phone and end the call to whoever he was talking to.
He sat on the sofa and held his head in his hands. I decided to make slip away without him noticing.
I quickly turned to where our room was and run up till there- as silently as possible.
I gulped and sat on my bed.
'Get over with him?' What's that supposed to mean?
The words rang in my head as I tried to solve the puzzle. Nothing, I couldn't get anything from what he said.
Who was he talking to though?
I'm going to find this out... be it sooner or later.
For now, I laid down on the bed still thinking about all that happened.
Our alarm clock rang and I quickly ripped the note from Dylan's bedside and shut my eyes close, so it could feel as if I was sleeping.
I felt Dylan squirm beside me before shooting upright.
He shook me twice and then I acted as if I just got up. I sleepily yawned and rubbed my eyes.
"Time to wake up," he whispered for once and began getting out of bed.
I grabbed his wrist before he did so, causing him to turn around and stare at me with a blank face.
"Are you okay," I asked concerned.
"Yup," he said popping the 'p'.
"Keep yesterday between us alright?"
He nodded slowly before I pulled him into a hug.
"We're not going to let those idiots bring us down, okay? We have to show them that we aren't scared and that we can overcome any problem as long as we're together," I told him kissing the back of his hand.
He smiled back. "Roxy, I'm ready to go to the park again,"
A huge grin placed itself on my face. "Dan, you know? You're the bravest person I've ever met,"
"I know," he said smirking.
"Yeah, and therefore next time you are going to learn a few more fighting techniques before we go out there again," I told him.
"Oh, I'm ready," he said smugly.
I sighed. "Boys are just too much of themselves," I muttered under my breath.
"I heard that!" he screamed out.
"Good for you, fighting isn't a piece of cake," I told him.
"It is for me," he replied.
I just shook my head at him. He was just... impossible.

Dropping off Dylan, I head towards school. The one place I dread being in.
High School was basically the definition of torture. Both from Aiden and the teachers.
Sulking, I parked my bike in it's usual spot and went in.
"Mr. Winster?" the principal called as I groaned, closing my eyes and praying this was not true.
Slowly I turned around and gave him a fake smile,"Yes?" I asked innocently.
"In my office." he deadpanned.
"Awesome," I mumbled and got in.
Aiden was already sitting there and rolled his eyes when I entered.
The principal settled into his seat, facing us.
"From what I've heard, yesterday, you both got into a fight. Am I right?" he asked.
"No," we simultaneously answered and narrowed our eyes at each other.
Talk about creepy.
The principal raised an eyebrow at us.
"He started it," we both said again.
"Stop it," we said at the same time once again.
This was getting creepier.
To stop this weird speaking-at-the-same-time thing. I pointed at him and then acted as if zipping my lips and threw the key away.
I gave him the thumbs-up sign next, wondering if he was smart enough to even understand what I said.
He rolled his eyes in response when the principal cleared his throat.
"One more fight, and you'll both be getting detention for a week. I'm letting you off this time, but it won't happen again," he seriously said.
We both nervously nodded our heads and got out of the room- grabbing the late note pass before leaving.
As soon as we were out, he turned over to me.
"You thought this is over? Wait till school ends," he smirked before leaving me wondering what he was up to.
(Aiden's POV)
I left Alvin standing there in curiosity.
As soon as Alvin was out of sight, I quickly backed up on the wall and ran a finger through my hair.
Why was I being forced to do this? What was he going to gain with this?
I don't like being a bully- then why am I being pushed into one?
Today, for some reason I was ordered by him to kick him the hardest I can in the ribs. But why? I had no clue.
One thing's for sure; this guy was strong. Way stronger than the rest of us.
No one had ever talked back like that to me. Sure I was never a bully, but that doesn't mean that I haven't been rude in my life.
I walked into class, handed the teacher the late note and sat down.
Minutes later, I saw Alvin walk in, hand the teacher a late note, and sit down on a seat far away from me.
I sighed. This was going to be harder than I thought...
The day went by in a blur.
Without knowing it, we had reached the end of the school.
Remind me why I was doing this again? Oh yeah, because of him.
I spotted Alvin walking towards his bike and jogged over to him. I grabbed his arm and turned him back.
"What do you want now?" he asked in a bored tone.
"No one talks to me like that," I made an excuse before pushing him down, which he didn't see coming.
As soon as he was down, without wasting another minute, I kicked him the hardest I had ever in the ribs.
He let out a loud groan before closing his eyes and clutching the part where I hit him. He couldn't even stand up- which was very rare for him.
He whimpered and slowly tried to get up but fell back down again. I felt really bad now.
I didn't want to do this, but I had no other option...
He finally managed to get up leaving me to stare at his fragile-looking, limping body.
'If you have a brain back there, you'll put two and two together and understand.' his words echoed in my brain.
What did he mean by that? Kick him and if you put two and two together, you'll understand?
Oh god, if my life could become any more confusing. It just did.
I focused hard on his retreating body and then it clicked.
'No way,' I thought as my eyes nearly grew to the size of a saucepan.
'It can't be...'
