🐚Chaotic Birthday, Running Away🐚

After fully drawing Adonis attention away from their son as her husband was getting dressed again, Y/n now dressed up in her own attire headed outside as the sun was starting to set behind the sea wall. The Queen hated this wall just as her son did but she knew why it was made a few days after Crescendo's christening and blessing voyage. She just wish that she could tell her son the truth but that was Adonis's job. Y/n carefully lifted her dress's front layers and walked carefully and quitely near the sand edge of the wall to watch Ursul, Crescendo, and Sebastian.

Crescendo: "See, Sebastian, I told you that we'd be..." He said quietly as Ursul straightened up beside him as did Sebastian in his bag. Crescendo looked up to see his mother looking down at them. "Hi, mom. We're not late are we?" He asked while the duo walked onto the shore as Ursul ran off into the castle to get ready for the party before the guests arrived.

Y/n: Sighs softly before leaning down to kiss her son's forehead. "No, your not late. Your all early, come on now. I'm going to help you get ready before your father starts looking for you again." She said honestly as her eyes noticed Crescendo's treasure bag was near to burst again making her laugh softly under her breath. 'Like father, like son.' She thought honestly as they quickly made it to Crescendo's bedroom which was completely sea themed.

Y/n looked through her son's wardrobe as Sebastian made sure that the young prince was getting all the sand of his body and washed out of his hair. Y/n put together a handsome light sea foam green suit for Crescendo as she whistled softly to tell her son that she was going to place his clothes in the bathroom for him to get dressed. After a few moments, Crescendo walked out of the bathroom clean, dressed but his hair was under a bath towel making Y/n laugh lightly.

Adonis walked outside with Max running by him barking happily as the sheepdog splashed around the sea water then panted at his master. Adonis smiled down at Max as he placed his right hand onto the sea wall til a few of sea gulls cries made him look up at the sun setting light gleaming above the wall's ledge while the roar of the ocean hit his ears.

Adonis: "Oh, Father, I miss you and my dear sisters. I wish that the whole family were here with us."

Adonis said to himself sadly before looking down at the sea waters lapping against the sand near his feet. He looked around quickly to find no one looking as he carefully rolled up his suit pants to his knees and removed his shoes from his feet then set the shoes onto the brick ledge of the garden wall. Adonis walked towards the tide as the cool yet still warm waves of the summer's fading morning sun hit his skin. The King sighed softly as he closed his eyes while a moment of calm washed over him, the sea held many fond memories for the former merman. His wedding to his beloved Queen on the sea along with their honeymoon. The long walks of the warm sandy beach with Y/n, the romantic picnics during the summer afternoons to the earlier months of their marriage even when Y/n told him that they were having a baby at the raise of the moon gleaming on the calm water. Hearing the roaring tide from the open balcony doors as he'd gently caress his wife's growing stomach while singing to the growing baby during the early nights before bed. Even though it didn't goes planned even the christening cruise to the sea was fun at the beginning. There was no doubt his family in Atlantica became larger by now he thought while he wished that his son could met his aunts, uncles, his cousins and of course his grandfather.

Y/n: "Adonis?" She said while looking down at him from Crescendo's bedroom balcony as their son stood beside her with his own red locks peeking under the towel he had on his head. Adonis's sea blue eyes snapped opened and he looked up at his wife and son with a nervous smile on his face while rubbing the back of his neck.

Crescendo: "Father, What are you doing?" He asked curious at what his father was doing as his mother started ruffling his hair dry with the towel that lied on his head.

Adonis: "Oh, um, nothing!" He said up at his son as he stepped out of the tide to fix his suit and put on his shoes. "I'll be right up." He said honestly.

Y/n gently moved Crescendo to his vanity dresser and had him sit down before hiding the treasure bag by his bed while the young prince quickly put on his shoes then Y/n began brushing her son's ruby red hair out as she tried to style it in a hurry just as Adonis walked into the bedroom.

Adonis: "So, we're having a bad hair day?" He asked as Y/n scoffed a laugh at him before holding the brush out towards him to try his luck.

Y/n: "If we were then you wouldn't be helping would you, Adonis." She said honestly while bending down to kiss Crescendo's forehead then stood up to kiss Adonis's lips equally gently. "I'll see to our guests while you help our son, Adonis." She said honestly before walking out of the bedroom.

Crescendo looked at his reflection in the mirror as his father was brushing his hair carefully as he sighed softly.

Crescendo: "Dad, put down the brush. It's hopeless." He said honestly while Adonis reached out to the vanity to grab a sea foam green silk ribbon and tied the ends of his hair into a tiny low ponytail fitting the young royal.

Adonis: "Your so handsome and you'll be turning lady's heads in court one day, Crescendo." He said honestly as he hugged his son gently while Crescendo took hold of his light cream cravat tie cloth and began tying it around his shirt's collar carefully before Adonis straightened his shirt collar over the tie.

Crescendo: "Do I have to do this? Everyone thinks I'm weird." He said honestly as well seriously.

Adonis: "My dear boy, everybody has trouble fitting in when they were your age. I know I did, I was a real fish out of water." He said honestly while joking a bit knowingly to himself as he placed his son's crown onto his head.

Crescendo: "You? No way." He said seriously as he walked towards his balcony watching the dolphins jumping around in the water. "I'm just not convinced that I'll not make a complete fool of myself." He said honestly as he leaned against the railing sadly as he watched the sun set painting the sea waters to sparkle as if new pearls.

Adonis: "Crescendo, this isn't just about the party is it?" He questioned as he walked towards his son and lied a firm yet kind hand onto Crescendo's shoulder while he knelt down on one knee as Crescendo looked at him. "What's wrong, is there something you want to talk about? You know that you can always tell me anything." He said honestly towards him.

Crescendo: He smiled happily at his father as he stood up straight with confidence. "Okay, okay. Now, don't freak out. But what I want more then anything in the whole world is..." He was saying until he was cut off by a knock on the balcony doors as Adonis and Cresendo looked up to see Y/n.

Y/n: "How is everything coming?" She asked while looking at her husband and son bathed in the rose pink tint of the sunset. "Oh, Crescendo, is that you? You look so handsome just like your father." She said honestly as she walked towards the two before hugging her son gently.

Crescendo: "Oh, mom." He said in a fake whine before he hugged her back but tightly as Adonis smiled at the scene in front of him.

Adonis: "She's right, you know." He said honestly as he walked towards Y/n and held onto her ring hand before kissing her knuckles lightly. "Your mother is always right, Crescendo. It's one of the many reasons that I love her so." He said seriously making his wife blush bright at his words.

Y/n: "Adonis, not in front of Crescendo." She said seriously as she lightly pushed her husband away by his chest while Crescendo took hold of her arm like an escorting gentleman. "Oh, such a kind gentlemen we raised." She said honestly as Adonis took her other arm while they walked out of the bedroom. "Your going to do just fine, sweetheart. Trust me." She told Crescendo before lightly kissing him on the forehead.

At the Party

Grimsby: "May I present King Adonis and Queen Y/n." He said as the husband and wife walked down the stairs elegantly at the sound of the half orchestra playing beautifully. Their subjects clapped to them respectfully and happily while bowling lightly. "As well, The King's advisor and cousin, Prince Ursul." He said as Ursul looked over at Crescendo before gently patting his back and carefully freed Sebastian from his godson's belt then walked down the steps to stand beside Grimsby.

Ursul: "Thank you, Grimsby. I'll take it from here." He whispered kindly to the older man. "Good evening to our guests on this momentous occasion. I present, His royal highness, Prince Crescendo." He announced as Sebastian climbed carefully onto his own suit coat.

Crescendo gulped dryly with nervousness before taking a deep breath and walked out in front of stairs to see his party guests then calmly walked down the steps thinking to himself.

Crescendo: 'Oh, yeah. Mom and Dad are right. I can do this.' He thought nervously as he walked onto the dance floor to bow to greet his guests until a beautiful girl walked up to him curtsying asking politely for him to dance with her. Crescendo looked up at his parents worried until his mother smiled sweetly at him and nodded softly as Adonis whispered softly towards him to go have fun. "It would be a honor, milady." He said kindly as he gently took hold of the girl's hand and escorted her to the dance floor as he father would when he was younger.

Adonis smiled down at Y/n before silently cueing the Orchestra to play a romantic waltz. Everything was going well until Louis saw Sebastian after he had brought in the large birthday cake and began chasing after the crustacean while causing chaos until Crescendo ran over to save Sebastian which left him to trip into his birthday cake and make everyone laugh at him. The young Prince looked up at everyone laughing at him before covering his face in shame before running back upstairs to his bedroom with his father running after him.

Y/n looked at everyone laughing so before looking over at Ursul and nodded softly as his shell necklace glowed bright under his clothes.

Ursul: "Silence at once, all of you!" He yelled out in a commanding voice as his sea stormed eyes darkened before looking over at the Queen while she stepped in front of everyone.

Y/n: "You children should be ashamed of yourselves." She scolded the young nobles calmly. "What does it matter if my son talks to sea life? I'm proud of his unique talents and proud to have Crescendo as my son." She said seriously before looking at the parents of the children. "I believe that you all should talk your children home to punish them while I go to comfort your future king. Good night, everyone and thank you for coming. Grimsby, Ursul please make sure everyone gets to their carriages safely." She said firmly before heading after her husband and son.

Crescendo's Bedroom

Crescendo lied on his bed sobbing in his sleep pants as he looked down into his treasure bag and gently took out the golden clam shaped locket that he'd found in the sea this early afternoon before leaning against his pillows. His bedroom door opened up to reveal Adonis as he walked into the room to comfort his son after he closed the door behind him.

Adonis: Walked towards the bed and ran his fingers through his son's red hair. "Cres, I'm so sorry." He said honestly as his son looked up at him in tears.

Crescendo: "What's wrong with me, Dad?" He asked his father as he wiped his tears away with the back of his hand.

Adonis: "Oh, Crescendo, nothing is wrong with you." He said honestly while he looked down at his son as his heart was weighing heavily.

Crescendo: "Dad, I'm the prince of disaster." He said seriously as he fell onto his bed on his side to cry again.

Adonis: Removed his crown from his head as he slicked his ruby red hair back a bit before sighing softly. "I know being a teenager is hard, and all kids feel a little awkward at your age." He said honestly while Crescendo was wiping the sand off the necklace he had found earlier that afternoon. "And..." He was saying until Crescendo interrupted him.

Crescendo: "Crescendo? What is this? My name's on here." He said as he opened up the locket making Adonis gasp in disbelief and anger while his protective side was growing out of his anger. Crescendo's e/c eyes widened in awe as a familiar melody filled his ears while he looked at the image of Atlantica and the swimming merpeople. "That song. Where have I heard it? It's Atlantica. With merpeople and everything." He said in wonder before looking over at his father. "Father, you always said it was just an old fish tale." He said honestly confused while Adonis took the locket away from Crescendo's hands as he stood up from the bed.

Adonis: "Crescendo, where did you get this?" He asked his son seriously as his normally kind sea blue eyes began to darken as a sea storm.

Crescendo: He flinched slightly at his father's tone slightly. "I-I found it." He said honestly not wanting to tell his father about the secret swims he does with his Uncle Ursul and Sebastian as they were watching over him.

Adonis: He clenched the locket tightly in his fist before looking at his son. "You went over the wall, didn't you? How did you get out into the ocean?" He demanded from his son to answer to him.

Crescendo: "Actually, I went under it." He said honestly while taking the blame for his mother since she showed him the way to go into the sea beyond the wall. "I hate that stupid wall." He said honestly towards his father.

Adonis: "Crescendo, you know you're not allowed in the sea." He said seriously as he breathed slowly to calm down while Crescendo stood up on his bed.

Crescendo: "But why? And why does that locket have my name on it?" He questioned his father seriously and also wanting answers that his mother nor uncle ever gave him but knew how much he loved the sea to not hide him away from it.

Adonis: "Crescendo, listen to me." He said calmly to his son until he asked him what he was hiding from him. His blood began boiling and so did the need to protect his family. "YOU DELIBERATELY DISOBEYED ME!" He yelled out angrily in a tone that made his son know that he was in trouble since the boy didn't ever disappoint his own father before. "I NEVER WANT YOU GOING OUT THERE AGAIN, DO YOU HEAR ME YOUNG MAN! IT'S DANGEROUS OUT IN THE SEA!" He shouted out now in the same overprotective nature of his own father; Triton.

Crescendo: He looked up at his father before shouting back at him. "HOW WOULD YOU KNOW? YOU'VE NEVER EVEN BEEN IN IT!"

Crescendo took the locket away from his father as he began crying again before running out of his bedroom and passing his mother as she opened up the door. Once his son's words hit his ears it also hit his heart making Adonis sit down onto his son's bed.

Adonis: "Oh, no...What have I done?" He said sadly as Y/n walked towards him and sat down beside him.

Y/n: "Adonis, darling, we knew this day would come." She said honestly as she took his ring hand into her own and squeezed it  gently to calm him down. "It's time to tell Crescendo the truth." She said honestly as Adonis looked down at her.

Adonis: "Oh, Y/n. Your right. It's time that I trusted him with his true hertiage with his love for the sea." He said honestly before he gently kissed Y/n on the lips. "Let's go find our little prince of the sea." He said while they walked out of the bedroom and began searching for their son.

Outside of the Sea Wall

Crescendo walked angrily along the sand of the passing Sebastian as he loaded up a sack of food and clothes into a tiny rowboat while Sebastian talked to him.

Sebastian: "Oh, now, child, it's gonna be okay." He said honestly before telling the young prince a bit of his own childhood. "You know, when I was a teenager you couldn't get me out of my shell for nothin'. I had this high, squeaky voice and these itty bitty little pincers." He said honestly before smiling happily. "And then one day, boom! I sound like Caruso and these whoppers pop out!" He shouted out happily before noticing what Crescendo was up to with the rowboat. "Young man, just where do you think you're going?" He questioned seriously as Crescendo climbed into the boat.

Crescendo: "I've got to figure this out." He said seriously as he put the locket on around his neck. "This necklace means something, and if no one's going to tell me, then I'll find out for myself." He said seriously as he began rowing away from his home's shore.

Sebastian: "Crescendo, please! You're making a huge mistake!" He shouted out worriedly about the boy as he rowed away into the night.

Morgana: "Oh, this is delicious! This is divine!" She said happily watching Crescendo since he had found the locket before sending her minions to retrieve the young prince. "Hurry, Undertow. There's a little boy out there who needs our help." She said while cackling evilly.

Back at Adonis's and Y/n's Palace

Adonis and Y/n alongside Ursul looked all over for Crescendo before the trio began to walk outside.

Sebastian: "All right, Sebastian, you must remain calm. This is not your fault." He said to himself as he swam to shore and climbed up the stairs to the garden landscape. "All you have to do is go in there and calmly explain that Crescendo has run away." He said as he breathed slowly to calm down his panicking nerves. "No reason to lose your head. Ever you do, you "absitivly", "positutely" must not panic."

Sebastian told himself until Adonis, Ursul and Y/n stepped outside and the Queen spoke up worried for her son.

Y/n: "Crescendo!" She called out for her son as the trio heard a loud gasp and shriek before a familiar voice rang out into the night air.

Sebastian: "Crescendo's gone, Crescendo's gone!" He yelled out loud panicking as he walked towards Adonis, Ursul and Y/n.

Adonis: "Sebastian? What are you doing here?" He asked honestly confused while the old crustacean bowed down at Queen's feet sobbing.

Sebastian: "It's all my fault! I tried to stop him!" He sobbed as he grabbed onto Y/n's dress to cry into the fabric. "I don't deserve to live!" He cried out.

Y/n: "Gone? Gone where, Sebastian?" She asked while she knelt down to pick up the crab and handed him a handkerchief.

Sebastian: "Out, out. To the sea." He said sobbing before blowing his nose into the handkerchief.

Adonis & Ursul: "What do you mean? Where could he be going?" The royal merman cousins asked together but little did the royals know that Crescendo was already on his way to Morgana's lair in the Arctic sea that early morning and changed in a way that they'd never know.
